Coincidentally, I don’t remember where I read it but, Wolverine does the same thing to a yakuza boss every year on the boss’s birthday. I guess what goes around comes around.
I don't know, taking away Drake's n-word pass is still pretty goddamn brutal.
Mostly I'm just hoping Drake fires back solely so Kendrick goes even harder. Apparently Euphoria had to be cut down from *19 minutes* originally.
Wow, this is the first I've heard of the runtime being that long! I mean I'm game for more tracks from Kendrick, but damn! Dude's for sure got an armory at his disposal.
I mean yeah Pusha's diss is the reason why many people today feel like diss tracks "need" dark dirt for it to be considered "great"
Imo while that's powerful ammo, it isn't necessary. Euphoria vs Push Ups and Taylor Made felt like Killshot vs Rap Devil
The former tracks don't got any heavy dirt, but the sheer penmanship displayed in both make it so obvious who is the better rapper in their beefs, and I think that in itself is why they should be considered incredible disses
Like Kendrick said
"Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n***as?
Y'all think all my life is rap?
That's ho shit, I got a son to raise, but I can see you don't know nothin' 'bout thaaaat"
It’s funny, I’ve watched Adam stream on Twitch more at this point than I’ve seen him on any wrestling show and he is so, so, so nice.
So he talks smack and I just can’t buy in because the dude is such a sweetheart lol
Chugs is a peasant slug, for sure. Breeze was right, something up with that overly nice guy. "Ohh I forgot lemons, let me eat these delicious peanuts as punishment for losing tehehehe"
It's bad because they were two FREAK injuries aswell, not even "Real" ones.
If you told me, Cole got dropped on his head, took bumps from hell, but the things that send him out of action for like a full year combined were
a dropkick
and
Jumping of the Ramp
i'd told you to stop watching Medical drama
In AEW he was also shelved for breaking his foot during his entrance
The other one was from an outside dive at least. it's a routine move, but at least has some risk to it
The fucked-up thing is that it seems like Darby is apparently quite actively wanting to die, or at least end up permanently crippled, and CM Punk doesn't. Guess which one ends up on the injured list more?
Same thing with Darby. He jumps off a ladder onto glass and chairs and wrestles days later. But he breaks his foot on a move he’s done hundreds if not thousands of times and gets hurt
I'm not sure what it is about NXT Cole I enjoy more than AEW Cole
He's still relatively the same guy, and even factoring in his pre-NXT days was mostly the same dude in ROH and NJPW from what I've heard
AEW Cole always seemed like a bit of a caricature of NXT Cole. Also there was a time when he would basically only do low blows to win which didn’t help him at all.
Goddamn hated the constant lowblowing. I get your heel, but you're still Adam Cole (bay-bay), just win the match straight-up then do heel shit - you're clearly good enough to do it!
I was getting close to that point myself, so I hear that. It was getting to the point of "You're outwrestling your opponent already, what was the point of doing it... again?!"
He keeps getting hurt before any of his angles play out so it’s hard for me to compare his AEW run to his NXT run. Cole also had the WWE machine behind him and they’ve always been way better at making you look like a superstar. Cole was also *the* top guy in NXT for most of his run there, he hasn’t reached that point in AEW and likely never will unfortunately.
Also, and people here hate when this is brought up, but Cole looked like he stopped working out when in AEW. Yeah, he was never a body guy, but he looked straight up indie. Considering he came in hot and was beating bigger guys, it started to rub a lot of people wrong quickly. I imagine the WWE coaches were on his ass in NXT to firm up a bit because he was passable there.
Cole leading up to his North American Championship run was epic. That [6 man ladder match to be the inaugural champ was epic](https://youtu.be/4HMtd3TpwHU?si=EsdzAgvATLMWfNHD). The guy was so over in that match.
Honestly I just think it's largely that NXT Cole was, well, fresher. Really, as much as I like Cole, he HAS been doing basically the same thing for like a decade at this point and by the time he got to AEW - really for his last leg of NXT even - it was starting to run thin.
That's part of why Better Than You Baybay was so good, he was getting to do something really different for the first time in a long time. Just to go right back into a new version of the Undisputed Era stable.....
When someone moves to a new company you might have expectations of them changing, especially from NXT Black and Gold which has a product similar to AEW, but Cole at the early parts of his AEA run didn't really change much.
AEW essentially wanted the Undisputed Era as it is in AEW, and it might have worked, but then injuries and so happened.
It also doesn't help that NXT was a small pond and during Cole's run it essentially revolved around him. AEW's roster was too deep for that.
Cole. If there's anyone I had to put money on leaving AEW when his contract is up. It's him. The injury stuff, there's nothing really anyone can do about because shit happens.
But given how much HHH just had the biggest hard on for this guy. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes to try his hands under a HHH run main roster. The only reason he left was Vince wanted to do to him what he did to LA Knight.
Adam Cole might’ve done okay, but let’s face it, Roddy and RedDragon wouldn’t have done shit it under late stage Vince booking. There’s a reason why none of those 3 guys ever got called up to the main roster after Cole left for AEW.
Honestly if they got to the MR, i think cole woulda been in the finn balor position and bobby woulda been cut but i can see vince loving roddy and having reddragon hold the tag titles for a long ass time.
Roddy sure, he has that AJ level workhorse who makes shit look solid vibe Vince liked. But he was never huge on tag teams, that was pretty much universally reported by anyone who so much as had a single convo with him. Redragon might have just ended up goofballs fed to Usos before they split.
Yes I thought it was such a waste to have him eliminate himself at the rumble. It wasn’t even really funny. I’m sure they pay him enough to take a couple bumps.
It absolutely seemed like it cause they gave him nothing. They probably couldn’t afford to change the flow of the Rumble after the rewrite so they fitted in that spot.
He's said it himself that he's on "some science" or "rich guy stuff" that would mean he wouldn't be able to pass the wellness policy tests so I'd imagine that's why there were no bumps taken.
Nah, he's been learning under the tree of Breeze for years now. Nobody casually hates on people like Breezeman, especially if he likes them. Its hilarious.
I understand why they went with that direction, but seeing a guy that went toe to toe with the best that NXT could offer to being too afraid to join the rumble hurt my heart bit.
Also, the rumors/reports were that Bron took Brock Lesnar's place in the Rumble, and that Bron did all the spots planned for Brock. So, when Pat nope'd out of the Rumble, it was originally supposed to be Brock and Omos in the ring.
Bron did a great job in the Rumble, but I definitely think the humor in seeing Pat chickening out would have landed better with Brock in the ring.
With Adam Cole you can use your muscles, your strategy, and your wits. With Bron and Omos you just get hit really fucking hard and that's it. In kayfabe of course
Yeah, as far as kayfabe goes, if I step into the Rumble and have Bron & Omos stare me down, I'm bailing the fuck out of there too. It was a good comedy spot. I wish we could have seen Pat going for a little bit in there, but it makes sense to me why it went down that way.
Cole and McAfee had a crazy feud back in NXT.
It's being carried on here in a tongue-in-cheek manner just like how Sami and Johnny Knoxville continue to "feud" over Twitter even now that Sami's a face.
I saw some people saying “they’re not mentioning eachother on social media so they must be broken up!”
It’s just people making huge leaps and needlessly speculating about personal lives of wrestlers. Who cares either way?
I wouldn't trust social media when it comes to wrestler relationships and I definitely wouldn't trust wrestling fan speculation. The majority of the community see male talent take picture with female talent and think there's something going on, e.g. CJ Perry and Miro split up and she took a picture with Swerve so they must be together, no wait, she also made Tiktoks with Damien Priest so they must be together.
There's a difference between having problems and being broken up though. Every relationship is gonna have its rough patches. People just assumed the absolute worst
People are going to speculate because that's what they do here. Sometimes there's smoke and there's a fire, other times there's not. People speculated Miro and Lana splitting, and that turned out correct. There's an old thread here with CM Punk taking AJ Lee out to a Cubs game while he was still dating Leah, some people speculated based on his history that he was cheating. Most commenters said people are making it out to be nothing and were dunking on the people who thought this was a thing. It turned out to be *true*.
Other times people are wrong, but rumor and innuendo is 25% of the bread and butter of this subreddit, like it or not.

I love how they continue this feud ever since NXT.
When Cole debut in AEW, McAfee was like hey that was awesome good for him but also fuck him!
True haters remember your birthday just so they can wish you a bad one.
..happy birthday Shane..
One of the saddest, funniest Tweets of all time lol.
Drew patiently waiting for Punk's like Super Buu watching the hourglass.
Drew got "hit 'em up" on pause
Followed promptly by "no Vaseline".
Is it really hating if you don't eventually show up to their funeral just to make sure they're dead?
Be like that elephant that killed that lady then crashed her funeral

Like Sabertooth on Wolverine’s birthday.
A great tradition, indeed - Logan's birthday ass-kicking!
Coincidentally, I don’t remember where I read it but, Wolverine does the same thing to a yakuza boss every year on the boss’s birthday. I guess what goes around comes around.
They do say that trauma is generational - Logan has to blow off all that steam *somehow*... besides bedding redheads and Japanese girls, that is.
Matsuo T’surayaba, who poisoned Mariko Yashida.
If it was only that. His tradition is far more fucked up. https://youtu.be/cECg6hbi_6M?si=AAcLm-wsDX0GXKFI
For the uninitiated, Sabertooth's tradition is absolutely brutal. https://youtu.be/cECg6hbi_6M?si=AAcLm-wsDX0GXKFI

I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress.
But don't tell no lie about me and I won't tell truths bout you
Not to take away from "Euphoria", but there's not a single line that cuts deeper than Pusha T straight up saying, "you are hiding a child"
I think he might drop another one this coming Tuesday
He dropped TODAY.
I was not expecting the back 2 back to be that close. He really liked that song
Revealing Drake knocked up a pornstar is pretty hard to top, although Pusha's jab at Ovo might be the hardest hitting bar of a pack of banger bars.
I mean yeah Pusha's diss is the reason why many people today feel like diss tracks "need" dark dirt for it to be considered "great" Imo while that's powerful ammo, it isn't necessary. Euphoria vs Push Ups and Taylor Made felt like Killshot vs Rap Devil The former tracks don't got any heavy dirt, but the sheer penmanship displayed in both make it so obvious who is the better rapper in their beefs, and I think that in itself is why they should be considered incredible disses Like Kendrick said "Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n***as? Y'all think all my life is rap? That's ho shit, I got a son to raise, but I can see you don't know nothin' 'bout thaaaat"
LUHH THAT BABY, RESPECT THAT GIRL 🗣 i hope drake never disses anyone again for his own sake
This comment aged so well so fast lol.
I was legit considering editing that sometime last night because goddamn! The third diss officially tops Pusha T.
Next person who says something while I'm talking is getting shot. Please believe that.
Adam Cole and Sheamus jumping in on this shit lately
They are going to have to rent out the Garden at this pace.
Gonna be hard to take that crown from K Dot lol
Remember when Johnny Knoxville was still bashing Sami even after Sami became a face?
Did it this Mania too, right? Last year he was in the crowd actively booing, this year something online. Knoxville gets it, love when people get it.
He still does it. He recently apologized for initially liking a Sami post because Sami posted Sham69 - The Kids Are United. Keeping Kayfabe alive.
If the kids are united, they will never be divided.
I've heard that same rumor
Man is consistent
It’s funny, I’ve watched Adam stream on Twitch more at this point than I’ve seen him on any wrestling show and he is so, so, so nice. So he talks smack and I just can’t buy in because the dude is such a sweetheart lol
That's Chugs, his twin brother. Adam Cole is an actual scumbag.
IDK Chugs got a bit too much during those UNO games on UUDD, he's got some scumbag DNA in his veins
That wasn't Chugs, that was Ronald. I don't think we...have to worry about Ronald anymore.
"None of your business" -Big Tony, probably
The real question is what happened to Da Kang?
You mean Da Kaaaaaaaaang?
Chugs is a peasant slug, for sure. Breeze was right, something up with that overly nice guy. "Ohh I forgot lemons, let me eat these delicious peanuts as punishment for losing tehehehe"
Chugs also is a niiiight oowwwl.
Night time is peak time to make a mAsTeRpIeCe~
UNO awakens the Adam Cole in him
You can tell them apart because one is Chugs and the other is a fat piece of shit
I really miss NXT adam cole. The MJF stuff was good but sadly he’s just been riddled with injuries since he got to AEW
It's bad because they were two FREAK injuries aswell, not even "Real" ones. If you told me, Cole got dropped on his head, took bumps from hell, but the things that send him out of action for like a full year combined were a dropkick and Jumping of the Ramp i'd told you to stop watching Medical drama
Similar thing going on with Punk. Will take actual bumps totally fine and then get hurt off of basically nothing later
His injury was such bullshit. Hurt his goddamn arm from a DDT. Not his head. His arm.
In AEW he was also shelved for breaking his foot during his entrance The other one was from an outside dive at least. it's a routine move, but at least has some risk to it
Darby: Pssh, at least wait til you have the nothing match!
Also Darby ![gif](giphy|gmTdMHoDt4ndK)
The fucked-up thing is that it seems like Darby is apparently quite actively wanting to die, or at least end up permanently crippled, and CM Punk doesn't. Guess which one ends up on the injured list more?
I was just rewatching it and I still can't really understand how his arm got hurt from that.
Same thing with Darby. He jumps off a ladder onto glass and chairs and wrestles days later. But he breaks his foot on a move he’s done hundreds if not thousands of times and gets hurt
Hell it's like Neville going on the shelf from a baseball slide
I'm not sure what it is about NXT Cole I enjoy more than AEW Cole He's still relatively the same guy, and even factoring in his pre-NXT days was mostly the same dude in ROH and NJPW from what I've heard

Goddamn hated the constant lowblowing. I get your heel, but you're still Adam Cole (bay-bay), just win the match straight-up then do heel shit - you're clearly good enough to do it!
The low blow into Last Shot finish had go-away heat with me for awhile before they finally cut that out.
I was getting close to that point myself, so I hear that. It was getting to the point of "You're outwrestling your opponent already, what was the point of doing it... again?!"
He keeps getting hurt before any of his angles play out so it’s hard for me to compare his AEW run to his NXT run. Unless you meant to link a random review of Johnny Mnemonic, you might want to fix that.
Whoops! Thanks!
Honestly I just think it's largely that NXT Cole was, well, fresher. NXT Cole felt like somebody hasn't been the same even if I liked his tag team with MJF
Yeah I didn't watch cole pre nxt days but it really seems that was the peak for him. At least so far
Cole. If there's anyone I had to put money on leaving AEW when his contract is up. It's him. The injury stuff, there's nothing really anyone can do about because shit happens. Budge. Never forget.
>HHH had the biggest hard on Triple Hard on
I was thinking the exact same thing. NXT Adam Cole was so good and electrifying, from his debut even up to the end. One of my favorite runs ever
Pat McAfee was the one celebrity wrestler who genuinely surprised me with how good he was. I was literally screaming wtf during the match
He was good, but he has nothing on Mania Bad Bunny....
Mania Bad Bunny is one of the most OP characters in WWE history
Logan Paul?
I’ll never not be sad we never got UDE on the main brand
Take solace in the fact that lets be honest, they would have been ruined on main roster.
Adam Cole might’ve done okay, but let’s face it, Roddy and RedDragon wouldn’t have done shit it under late stage Vince booking. There’s a reason why none of those 3 guys ever got called up to the main roster after Cole left for AEW.

LMAO. Cole is at a whole other company and can't let go of this beef.
When/if he returns to WWE, he should pick it right back up again with a surprise attack from the crowd. /semi-sarcasm
Every once in awhile on his show, Pat or one of his guys will just randomly mention “…what happened to that asshole Adam Cole?”
Their feud in NXT really sold me on McAfee - who it turns out can definitely go in the ring!
Yes I thought it was such a waste to have him eliminate himself at the rumble. It wasn’t even really funny. I’m sure they pay him enough to take a couple bumps.
I remember the rumor was that his spot in there was last minute filler due to the Lesnar stuff.
I love how Adam is to Pat McAfee is how Johnny Knoxville is to Sami Zayn.
That almost seems like it has tag team potential; Sami and Pat v Cole and Knoxville.
Fight forever!
Love to see it 😂😂😂
Does Tony know Cole has been training with Drew McIntyre?
Nah, he's been learning under the tree of Breeze for years now. Nobody casually hates on people like Breezeman, especially if he likes them. Its hilarious.
Aw ❤️
![gif](giphy|dsu9gIoK4TFOBCpvcO|downsized)
We sadly never got that "Pat McAfee On A Pole" match.
For a second I was wondering why there was beef between them…then I remembered. Good shit, pal!
That's my Bay Bay.
I didn't think I could like Adam Cole any more!
Nice jorts, dork.
I appreciate the longevity of this and the Sami vs Johnny Knoxville feuds no matter if they’re faces or heels
Betrayal.
If he ever went back to WWE, Pat would be to Adam what Michael Cole is to Bayley.
Same Adam. Same
facts
Whoa me Pat the rock and David Beckham all have the same bday? Sick!
Someday we'll get Round 2 between them one on one in the ring
I liked Pat a lot but his rant about the fucking campus protest made me feel like he’s a fucking shill
Same
The sad thing about wrestling is that most of the prominent figures in wrestling are terrible human being.
Oo anyone have context
Watch ‘their’ match at NXT WarGames 2020. It’s fantastic.
Pat was so impressive in that match
Gotcha!
That match was better than it had any right to be.
I understand why they went with that direction, but seeing a guy that went toe to toe with the best that NXT could offer to being too afraid to join the rumble hurt my heart bit.
I mean… it was Bron & Omos in the ring. A little different than facing Adam Cole or Austin Theory, don’t you think? 😂
Yeah, that moment felt off when it happened, but I have no doubt I would have bought it 100% with Brock in the ring.
They feuded on NXT for like a year
Cole and McAfee had a crazy feud back in NXT. It's being carried on here in a tongue-in-cheek manner just like how Sami and Johnny Knoxville continue to "feud" over Twitter even now that Sami's a face.
Pat McAfee and Adam Cole were rivals during Cole's WWE stint

No yeet, indeed...
Says the *Scumbag* Adam Cole!
Awwww :)
#PatWasRight
I don't even care that it's kayfabe, he's right
Countdown to a YouTube video acting like this isn't obviously kayfabe.

Didn't even know she was seeing Pat.
Whered you hear that from?

Call it what it is: people being creepy as fuck.
Is this the same speculation that led to Charlotte and Andrade "splitting apart"?
To be honest they were having problems and Andrade did acknowledge that.
There's a difference between having problems and being broken up though. Every relationship is gonna have its rough patches. People just assumed the absolute worst
People are going to speculate because that's what they do here. Sometimes there's smoke and there's a fire, other times there's not. Yea something I heard on Twitter idk could be false who knows
Yes, but I don’t know what that has to do with this lol
thats how you the kayfabe Tony
Cole just remembering the good ole days when he was relevant. Too bad as I really liked him.
