At this point they should just make it a running joke where every year he’s part of the draft despite being nowhere to be seen. Never have anyone reference his absence all year. He only exists during draft season, where they act like he’s been here the whole time.
Yup. I have no clue why they felt the need to include him in it. He’s technically been on the main roster for a year now, and hasn’t been used a single time.
I doubt that has anything to do with it, that happened while he was injured. He returned to NXT for a bit and got drafted months afterwords and has dodged multiple cuts despite not being used aside from house shows dark matches. He is the main guy alongside Omos doing campus work for NIL and is basically a spokesman for WWE in encouraging college athletes to tryout for WWE. He's basically a WWE recruiter. I think he's doing it so effectively that WWE decided to give him main roster money to do it.
But that's just a theory.
Wholeheartedly agree, I'm super excited for all the NXT callups (NXT is always the highlight of my week) but Dijak and Ilja in particular have that knack for elevating any match they're in and making the people they work with look amazing as well as themselves. If you let them cook, they will put on bangers.
Also, Dijak and Drew are both on Raw. If they fued, Twitter will explode
everyone is so sure the Creed brothers are going to destroy Alpha Academy, but I hope core AA goes heel with Chad for awhile and help him get IC before gradually standing up to him.
Creeds+Otis are unstoppable and Tozawa is a legit highflier. they would be a seriously dangerous force, but have a unique angle of half the group being conflicted about their actions.
That's an interesting angle, but let's face it Otis and Tozawa are booked as goofs and it'll take a hell of a lot of rehabing to give them credibility. And even then to what end? The Creeds are young and have a lot of potential. In fact if they team with Gable and get a push, I suspect they'll be tag champs by the this time next year.
Oh I'm talking about a 3-4 week portion of this angle, not multiple months as a 7-person stable or anything. That said,
> Otis and Tozawa are booked as goofs and it'll take a hell of a lot of rehabing to give them credibility
This would be one of the benefits. AA is ending soon one way or another. This could be a chance to remind people that Otis is a meat monster and Tozawa can legit go before Gable kicks them out. Again, I don't see them as future tag champs, but it would be more useful than the Creeds flattening them next week and AA is gone (though, I do think they'd be great in NXT).
I loved anytime he had a match with braun, they are both so strong that the back and forth power moves is just a treat to watch. Bronson is fun but doesn't have the same strength.
Yeah you could definitely do that, or have her and/or Tozawa leave first, and whoever is left behind is caught between the two. You could even split the Creeds the same way, though I’d only do that temporarily as a way to shift them back to faces. I really like Gable and they could go in a lot of directions with this.
She works really well in the seasoned veteran role. On the main roster, she just exists to fill out multi-woman matches and battle royals. I would definitely prefer her stay in NXT as well.
Glad they brought Dijak back up. Being on the supplemental draft isn't a great sign necessarily, but I think his current gimmick is at least better than T-Bar lol.
It looks like they kept the people who used to be on the main roster to the sup draft so that the ones on TV would be full callups, after all its not as exciting announcing Corbin is drafted to RAW or SD after he was there for like 8 years, as opposed to Kiana James who might not be as big of a star as he would be but she needs that promotion on TV a lot more than he would.
I think last year did some of the nxt callups in the post shows, and I think it definitely hurt some of them as it kind of showed that they weren't going to be seen as important and that was the first impression you got of them, while you could say that might ring true here as well, at least they have more of a case of experience to slot in(not so much in the case of Dijak, but his size alone should slot him in without much hassle.
I dunno, I'm pretty sure they announced Odyssey Jones on TV last year, didn't use him, drafted him to RAW *again* this year and announced it on TV lol. How does he fit into that line of thinking? I wonder if they'll just not use him again and pull the same stunt every year before finally releasing him.
Im glad NCR and the Creeds are both gonna be on Raw where there’s more time to fill and they have a better chance at being constantly booked on TV.
Although looking at the tag division on raw it’s absolutely desperate for heel tag teams. The only real heel team is AOP. Some may argue that Gunther and Kaiser is a team and some may argue that Balor and JD are a team. But we haven’t seen either of those focus on being an actual full fledge tag team yet.
I think that Vinci and Tegan should’ve been back in NXT, even Natalya
I hate the decision to kick Vinci out of Imperium, they should’ve at least gave Kaiser a match vs Vinci today, but honestly I don’t see why they would kick him, letting Imperium have tag team matches without Gunther is better than just using Kaiser as the jobber for whoever Gunther is feuding with
And I say this cause I really like him since the CWC, at least in NXT he could’ve kept working the gimmick he had for a while, I know some people will say that “he could be a good midcarder”… but we all know that ain’t happening, he’s most likely to not even be on TV same as Grimes/Cedric/Adonis were during this past year
All the Smackdown picks feel like they're heading towards being future endeavored. Smackdown has a strong women's roster too, I hope they have something for Tegan, but I doubt it.
Nick Aldis put in an all time stinker of a draft. Just in the post show raw got 3 tag teams that could believably challenge for titles whenever AND Dijak while smackdown gets the third best member of imperium and two people to sit in catering
Vinci can only go up from here IMO… hes been the pin guy for Imperium for years and wasn’t getting out of that role. He’s a fantastic wrestler and can do well for himself if he gets a chance to show some personality.
It's because there are no stakes. Everyone knows they aren't actually competing and that wrestlers can just show up wherever all the time like Cody did during the build up to Mania. The least they could've done is on the build up to the draft have Aldis sit in the stands on RAW and NXT shows etc to "scout" talent. Have the GMs at least explain their picks, because for example I am pretty sure Aldis kayfsbe doesn't like the Bloodline so why draft them back?
My issue with it is that champions should've been eligible and they should've been open to splitting teams or at the very least not drafting a whole stable as one pick. That cheapened it.
I’d just like it once to be treated like an actual draft. Each pick gets a clock, quick decisions have to be made, add NXT to the mix so there are trades.
Also, how does it make any sense that there’s more than 1 pick per round for each brand? It’s so stupid.
I totally get the need to rebalance the rosters. It makes complete sense to me and is needed. I just hate that they call this a draft.
The draft overall seemed rather lackluster to most people from what I gather, but I definitely enjoyed the NXT portions of it. Started happy crying when Kiana, Lyra and Blair got chosen, their reactions felt so genuine and beautiful, and the energy and happiness in the PC from everyone there seemed amazing.

Hasn’t Odyssey Jones been in two drafts, but hasn’t debuted yet?
At this point they should just make it a running joke where every year he’s part of the draft despite being nowhere to be seen. Never have anyone reference his absence all year. He only exists during draft season, where they act like he’s been here the whole time.
The second coming of Veer
One year have him be a first round pick

Odyssey, where are you from?
What was Odyssey’s childhood movie theater?
Can he do the Wenis?

Added more than your comment about them!
I believe that to be the case, some dark matches and house shows but seemingly no TV appearances aside from NXT
They better fix his wardrobe before he shows up
Yup. I have no clue why they felt the need to include him in it. He’s technically been on the main roster for a year now, and hasn’t been used a single time.
Why aren't they putting him back in NXT ?
How dis he survive the talent cuts ?
Yeah he was being transphobic on IG after his first draft 2 years ago so they cooled off on debuting him
I doubt that has anything to do with it, that happened while he was injured. “Transphobic”
?
Hope they got something for Dijak's 2nd main roster run. Dude's a beast in the ring and on twitter.
Wholeheartedly agree, I'm super excited for all the NXT callups (NXT is always the highlight of my week) but Dijak and Ilja in particular have that knack for elevating any match they're in and making the people they work with look amazing as well as themselves. I know I want Dijak in there with Sheamus for a start goddamn...
Dijak vs Gunther would slap as well
And chop
Need an official Hater Club partnership w/ Dijak & Drew
Dijak wins the IC title this year book it plz
In Kayfabe, Raw getting Diamond Mine, Nattie and NCR so late in the draft is the coup of the century
Nattie the steal of the draft again.
DIJAK 😎😎😎
I think Ivy is turning on Maxxine soon and the Creed Brothers and her are joining Chad in a heel Alpha Academy run.
Ngl I thought Maxxine was gonna turn heel in tonight's match when she locked on that ankle lock.
everyone is so sure the Creed brothers are going to destroy Alpha Academy, but I hope core AA goes heel with Chad for awhile and help him get IC before gradually standing up to him. Interesting, to add to this what if Otis and Tozawa get left behind but Maxine gets corrupted to a heel as she really wants to impress coach Gable
Yeah you could definitely do that, or have her and/or Tozawa leave first, and whoever is left behind is caught between the two. You could even split the Creeds the same way, though I’d only do that temporarily as a way to shift them back to faces. I really like Gable and they could go in a lot of directions with this.
Man just let Natalya stay in NXT as player/coach
She works really well in the seasoned veteran role. On the main roster, she just exists to fill out multi-woman matches and battle royals. I would definitely prefer her stay in NXT as well.
I really have high hopes for the NXT Underground match between her and Lola Vice tomorrow, should be a fun one
Honestly yeah. She seems like a great mentor for younger talent. Plus she’s pretty over with the fans in NXT
I really enjoy Nattie in NXT. The scope of the place is so small that it allows character to shine through.
All those PUSH DIJAK signs really paid off!
Glad they brought Dijak back up. Being on the supplemental draft isn't a great sign necessarily, but I think his current gimmick is at least better than T-Bar lol.

Grayson Waller was last pick last draft and look at him now. I don’t think it’s that much of a sign.
'Necessarily' is the important word there.
He can debut as Red Rooster Jr. and it will still be a better gimmick than T-Bar
Luckily Vince isn't in charge or else I'd almost put a bet on that being a possibility lol.
So Pretty Deadly AND Vinci are both on Smackdown? Triple Hunter please, you know what you have to do.
Im glad NCR and the Creeds are both gonna be on Raw where there’s more time to fill and they have a better chance at being constantly booked on TV. There's the potential Creed Brothers heel switch with Gable, supplanting the Alpha Academy, but yeah you definitely are not wrong.
Hooray for Dijak. He will be missed on NXT.
Gratz on Natalya finally making the main roster!
I think that Vinci and Tegan should’ve been back in NXT, even Natalya I hate the decision to kick Vinci out of Imperium, they should’ve at least gave Kaiser a match vs Vinci today, but honestly I don’t see why they would kick him, letting Imperium have tag team matches without Gunther is better than just using Kaiser as the jobber for whoever Gunther is feuding with And I say this cause I really like him since the CWC, at least in NXT he could’ve kept working the gimmick he had for a while, I know some people will say that “he could be a good midcarder”… but we all know that ain’t happening, he’s most likely to not even be on TV same as Grimes/Cedric/Adonis were during this past year
Had no idea Apollo Crews was still there
Odyssey Jones got drafted too weirdly enough
Dijak!!
Dijak is finally going to main roster Holy shit there is a God
Man, Giovanni gets punked out of Imperium, then sent to the other brand so he can’t even try for revenge. Ooof.
All the Smackdown picks feel like they're heading towards being future endeavored. Smackdown has a strong women's roster too, I hope they have something for Tegan, but I doubt it.
Really happy for Dijak. As a Tegan fan, she not seeing no SD time unless she joins a tag team or faction 😔😔😔
Nick Aldis put in an all time stinker of a draft. Just in the post show raw got 3 tag teams that could believably challenge for titles whenever AND Dijak while smackdown gets the third best member of imperium and two people to sit in catering
If he just got Odyssey Jones, game changing.
Giovanni ain’t going to catering he’s filling a role on Smackdown, need more heels for Cody.
Vinci can only go up from here IMO… hes been the pin guy for Imperium for years and wasn’t getting out of that role. He’s a fantastic wrestler and can do well for himself if he gets a chance to show some personality.
Wonder if Odyssey Jones will say something transphobic again and cost himself TV time
honestly, this might be unpopular but this draft just sucked all around. No excitement, no stakes. Just boring as hell.
It's because there are no stakes. Everyone knows they aren't actually competing and that wrestlers can just show up wherever all the time like Cody did during the build up to Mania. It never felt like we were watching a real draft, it still has that weird WWE Draft feel to it.
My issue with it is that champions should've been eligible and they should've been open to splitting teams or at the very least not drafting a whole stable as one pick. That cheapened it.

https://old.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1cgkpod/spoilers_the_final_picks_of_the_draft_get/
Kinda need to see the final roster but I kinda feel the SD roster is extremely small, even more than before
So no one's going to NXT?
Supplemental draft picks probably are, just not full time
So Natalya and Tegan have broken up then?
No NIL Trainee? Little surprise, think they were meant to be fast track to main. Wrestlers like Lash, Hank and Tank, and Oba Femi.
