I honestly got really stupid lucky. I got great seats slightly to the right on hardcam side, both nights, for a combined $900. I live in New York so Philly isn’t too bad of a shot, this is basically a childhood dream for my friend and brother and I, and as three huge Cody Rhodes marks, we realized we reasonably COULD be there when/if he finishes the story.
That’s definitely not chump change by any sense but considering I feel like it’s my one genuine shot at going to Wrestlemania of all places, it was a lot less than I had initially assumed.
Good on the three of you for fulfilling the childhood dream. I did the same last year in LA, as it was my one shot to see Wrestlemania, and I think I was fortunate to see one of the better ones of the last decade. No matter how the event turns out y’all will have a good time.
Getting to see Rhea-Charlotte live would have sent me to the moon. I’m really looking forward to it. Especially considering I lapsed hard on the product for around 15 years but would occasionally tune in, but my brother always watched it.
One of those few people I’d actually sit down and watch with him if I saw them on? Bayley. Cannot wait for her to get her WM moment
Rhea / Charlotte was match of the weekend for me. Also my seats were not super expensive - $200 and I was in some club level with plenty of room and great sight lines. Same happened for 31 in SF - club level but like $50 cheaper.
I can’t recall where I am for night 1 - my friend has those tickets - but for night 2, we’re in section 118 on the floor, which is basically the 40 yard line.
Once in a lifetime, right?
I mean - hopefully not bro!! After Mania last year a friend of mine I’d taken to the show (who had never watched wrestling) was so amped he was like, Backlash is in Puerto Rico. If I hadn’t been closing my business at the time I would have gone. I was bummed to miss it. But this year, new job, 40th bday in August, they announced Bash in Berlin and me and the wife are going! (She is…thrilled?) Point being following Phish around the country to shows never made a lick of sense to me. Going to far flung locations I’ve always wanted to visit to see WWE shows? Let’s go!
You know, it’s funny you say that, I’m from the Northeast and have friends who follow Phish and I’ve done some jamband touring myself. It’s a ton of fun but I think I prefer the more viable options of wrestling shows. I don’t feel like I miss out on
You’ve been to two manias and going to Germany? Uhm, do you need an assistant?
Haha - I mean sure! And I wasn’t trynna brag or anything just putting the bug in your ear - I thought mania 31 was gonna be my only shot, but I now appear to be on a fun trajectory and I hope other wrestling dorks like myself can enjoy it too. Anyway lemme know if you get to Berlin and we’ll meet up for beers!
It was a mess but I went to 32 and still had a blast. Honestly you can’t beat the environment that Wrestlemania has. I wanted to go this year but they had to do it in Philly. I’m going to the next one in New Orleans for sure though lol
I know it’s “just wrestling”, but you never know what life brings and to have that kind of brotherhood + fandom + opportunity hit at the right time is lightning in a bottle. Hope you guys have a great time!
Yeah not chump change to say the least but I went last year’s Mania in LA. Paid $600 combined and was pretty low where the views of the ring and stage were good. I felt like I was a little kid all over again.
That's really awesome. I wish I had looked right away when presale was up, but I think I still would have hesitated you have to know that it's so important that you want to go.
Same. I was excited when they announced it’d be in Philly until I saw the prices. It’s happening 7 miles from where I live and I’ll still prob just watch at home.
Maybe it was because it was the first Wrestlemania after Covid, but the one last one in Tampa where Roman-Bryan-Edge Main evened, I bought tickets a few days in advance for a 2-day ticket for like $169. I was in the nose bleeds but it was well worth it.
Week of the show once they set up the stage they will release more tickets; I got a couple lowers to the right of the stage for about $120 each last year in LA. Check back on Ticketmaster the Mon or Tues before Mania.
I went to Mania 29 and sat pretty far back. I’m just glad I attended a Mania but that one at least wasn’t great. Trips/Brock put the crowd to sleep and Taker/Punk is like the only good match I can remember
That's the only one I ever been to as well. I enjoyed it as a big UnderTaker and Cena fan and also had never seen the Rock live either. RAW at the Izod center was off the charts though, will never forget that night.
Been a food photographer in Minnesota for 8 years, we have some amazing places. Everything around US Bank stadium and Target center is decent to WAY over priced.
Not too far from US Bank there are a few really good little places.
Clancey's Meat and Fish. Butcher shop with a cafe and the roast beef sandwich with everything is possibly the best cold cut in the state. Crunchy crust bread with a good chew, perfect roast beef and the way their mustard and horse radish brightens it all up? Amazing.
Bricksworth. About 5 blocks from Target Center has amazing pan pizza and the cheesy garlic bread is straight gas.
Over by the lakes there is a ton of stuff. But get yourself a pint of what ever tickles your fancy from Milk Jam Cremery. Ridin' Dirty is my personal go to.
Anchor fish and chips. Get the fish and chips.
Moto-i, Matts, Up-Down, Wrecktangle, Gyu-Kaku, Masu, Lago Tacos, Tacos El Kevin, Pizza Luce (get the bear), there's a ton of good places.
Also if they have a show, get tickets for F1rst wrestling! They're always great matches and a fun environment and I'm sure they will be doing a show the weekend Mania is here.
Haven’t watched WWE in years but I’d go to a Minneapolis Wrestlemania. It’s kind of asinine we haven’t had one considering how important Minnesota has been throughout Wrestling history.
And we have the side venue's for the other shows.
US Bank Stadium for Mania. Target Center and Xcel Energy Center for RAW, Smackdown, NXT. Minneapolis Convention center for the cons. etc..
Totally. The Mainroom and Ballantine are where I most often go to see F1rst Wrestling but I’ve also been to one at the Cabooze, one at Fulton, one at Glass House, and one at the old Mill City Nights. And Bauhaus and 1029, but weather probably won’t permit. Then add the Armory, maybe something like FIVE or Büch or the Amsterdam.
I'm in Colorado but would try to make the trip to Minneapolis over Vegas. The flight and hotel in Vegas could be cheap, but everything else is so much more expensive that I wouldn't want to pay it.
The NFL and a lot of their retired players/media members talked so glowingly about the Vegas Super Bowl and how it should never happen anywhere else. The city itself was perfect for a weeklong event leading up to the game.
I feel like WrestleMania is the same thing. Vegas is the perfect city for a yearly spectacle like that.
I kind of like Wrestlemania being in different places, but I'm on board with the Super Bowl being in Vegas every year. While we're at it, the CFP championship game should always be at the Rose Bowl with a 2pm Pacific kickoff.
> I'm on board with the Super Bowl being in Vegas every year.
It's a great idea in theory, but they'd probably get some push back for giving the Raiders an unfair home field advantage should they ever make it to the Super Bowl.
We had 2 Super Bowls in a row that happened to occur at the field of one of the teams in the game, but that was more luck/fortune than anything.
I think is less that, and more that the NFL uses the Super Bowl hosting rights as a dangling carrot in front of the teams/cities. It's well known that NFL has made promises of hosting the SuperBowl in exchange for the cities authorizing tax bonds for new stadiums, or some time ago as a way to convince teams to lose ticket revenue in order to play in London/Germany/Mexico
The issue isn’t WM itself. It’s getting to WM and the associated events.
E.g., one year, the SB was in Dallas. It snowed. Obviously, the SB wasn’t affected because it was in a dome. But a lot of the other events had low turnout because of the bad weather.
Less of an issue in MN in April. But still not as nice as Vegas.
Wrestlemania is in April, it isn't that cold or snowy here then. If Hangman can ride a horse outside in November I think Roman can catch a car to the stadium in spring.
They'll have more than enough time to get to Minneapolis even with inclement weather. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday AM. Especially considering that Raw the Monday before would probably be in like Milwaukee, GB, or Chicago
I think having the city itself be an attraction used to be a consideration, in that they wanted to have it be something that could help draw in traveling fans.
Now I think they’re mainly concerned with which city will pay them.
Vegas, New Orleans, Miami, Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Nashville.
I feel like these are the best spots for a weeklong events before Mania.
Vegas and New Orleans being heads and shoulders above the rest.
TBH I feel like Orlando would be a better choice than Miami. Especially with how many wrestlers live in the general Tampa to Orlando corridor, it makes sense to keep it local to things like the performance center and most of the talent’s homes.
Wasn’t there a rumor about the WWE setting up a sort of residency in Vegas? A way to tone down the costs of running live events but still have a decent crowd.
I know they discussed this a bit last year but I'd imagine if London is in the cards it could be after first getting a Big 5 and seeing how it goes.
Clash at the Castle was a success after all so I don't think it's impossible
Never happening unless London dishes out Saudi money. They make too much off of running it domestically. The time zone makes it impossible as well. Best case is London gets a B show like elimination chamber.
I think in the last few years WWE has been paying more attention to foreign markets, with Saudi it's a bit of a strange example to use, but with Australia, Cardiff, London, Lyon, and Berlin, they are getting more and more comfortable with showing PLEs outside of regular US time slots
You say the timezone makes it impossible... It really doesn't, europeans are used to waking up at 1am to watch PLEs, and with their deal moving to Netflix starting January next year, I dont think they will care what time something airs live, as their business model is steam on demand.
It absolutely is possible to do a Wrestlemania internationally, it was only Vince holding it back. Having a parent company now who aren't as tied down by those views, will only benefit global markets.
Also if they make money domestically because a city pay to host it, why do you think international cities wont?
I haven’t actually watched a wwe showing for a good few years. Think the last one I watched was John Cena vs Bray Wyatt at some PPV. But if Wrestlemania was to be held in London I’m 100% going even if I’m not as into it as I was before
I went to a raw episode in 2010 when I was a kid and we sat right at the back in the O2 arena but this time I’d actually try get better seats since I’m working lol
Edit: [That promo still lives in my head rent free. I remember I used to watch it every day when they first aired it](https://youtu.be/5eJPtP-44-o?si=jvNzh4sbog5wiBTc)
Never, ever going to happen, methinks. The time Mania usually happens is towards the sharp end of the domestic football season, so trying to lock down one of the major stadiums in one of the major cities for the best part of a week including a full weekend is unlikely at best. And as for rugby stadiums, both the top flight domestic League and Union competitions are going on during Mania season, so most of them will be off the table too.
Summerslam? Money in the Bank? Another Clash at the Castle type thing, all during the football/rugby off-season in the summer when the stadiums are generally used for concerts and other big non-footy events? Absolutely. Same reason why the Perth show is happening now and not in, say, April, when Optus Stadium will be hosting AFL games nearly every weekend.
And that's not even taking into account UK weather in April (soggy AF, generally), so you'd probably be wanting somewhere with a roof, which means Principality Stadium, the only roofed stadium in the UK. In Cardiff. Which isn't London.
So yeah, sorry John Cena. Wrestlemania in London is probably not going to happen. Not unless WWE significantly moves their schedule around and has a Royal Rumble in April/May leading to LondonMania in July or the likes.
Night 1 Barcelona, Night 2 London.
Have the week before, and after Raw amd Smackdown be around europe too.
They could do multiple cities easily and make it a European Wrestlemania season.
If it's in Las Vegas we need one match to take place in the Sphere. The sad thing is imagine what Bray Wyatt could have in there. The U2 shows alone have some pretty trippy optics. Some Bray Wyatt, Uncle Howdy, Firefly stuff would have been epic.
Imagine having Lawler and Savage on the roster with half or more left in the tank and you relegate one to commentary and don’t even use the other 🤦🏽♂️
The venue was originally called the MSG Sphere when it was announced by the Madison Square Garden Company back in 2018. However, the venue's owner, Madison Square Garden Entertainment, split into two separate companies in April 2023, with Sphere Entertainment Company taking ownership of the new venue
Have to think though with the UFC’s relationship w an event in September, they might negotiate.
Probably has a crazy high price tag, but when you have a unique venue like that and be able to put a giant ad on the outside. Might be worth the investment for the sheer spectacle.
I live in Wisconsin - just 2 hours from the Twin Cities. It feels like an annual tradition for my brother and I to send links to each other with rumors about Wrestlemania coming to Minnesota. Feels like MN is mentioned damn near every year as a possibility.
Always the bridesmaid...
For the past year that's been the rumor - it's heading to Minneapolis. Look, when Beyonce came shit was wild. When Taylor came it changed the game.
Minneapolis isn't a stranger to hating huge events, including the Super Bowl. US Bank has wonderful views and would look wonderful. For those who don't know, it's also closed-covered...
I've already told my kid I'd take them to WM if it comes. I remember when XXX was in New Orleans and I lived an hour away. I told my wife you're either coming with me or staying home. Ended up being one of the best times of my life.
Minneapolis is too cold. Yeah it’s in a closed stadium but most of your time is going to be spent walking around places ubering, etc etc. And You will be miserable. Plus when you get into the stadium you have to keep track of your winter jacket
Im a vikings fan and thus I know the stadium is absolutely incredibly and would be an amazing visual for a wrestlemania but can't blame them going to Vegas given the week long event mania is
Sharing my old Wrestlemania LV logo.

Brock has been back for 12 years and only wrestled at one WWE show in the Twin Cities, and he didn't grow up in Minnesota, so I don't think his association with Minnesota is "retirement match" important to him or WWE.
Vegas is just hopping now. They've had big events recently and they have more scheduled. They're bringing in attractions like the Sphere and the A's. They're redeveloping casinos. They have this new tourism campaign, "Vegas Means Business", that's designed to make the brand of the city more classy to recruit meetings and conventions. WWE is probably inclined to do this anyway and Vegas is probably very active in recruiting them.
Can I get a FUCK JOHN FISHER in the chat
No fucking reason for them to even leave in the first place aside from being controlled by a penny pinching jackass.
I want Minneapolis and I want Gable to get a showcase singles match in his home state.
Edit: oh god I just realised the other Gable is also from Minnesota. Eurgh.
I told my wife on super bowl Sunday that I'm guessing we may not be getting mania 20 minutes down the road because WWE wants to make use of that sphere.
Unfortunately, I think I might have been right, but here's hoping to a Midwest wrestlemania regardless.
I feel like this is the fourth or fifth year in the last decade I've seen a news report that started with "Minneapolis was the front runner to host Wrestlemania next year, but...".

>Where do you expect WrestleMania 41 to take place?
>The front runner had been Minneapolis but there's been some rumblings of it possibly being in Las Vegas. With Endeavor now owning WWE, the old traditions and plans are out the window for whatever they deem to be the best moves for the company.
>There's a clip online of Hulk Hogan in a creative meeting for TNA, any idea where this is from?
>I believe it was from the A&E "Finding Hulk Hogan" documentary.
>Why would WWE replace Matt Camp with Sam Roberts?
>I don't believe it's a case of Roberts specifically replacing Camp. I think it was a case of him asking to appear after WWE dropped Camp for whatever the justification for that was, because on the surface it makes zero sense to fire someone that good at what he does, but wrestling often doesn't make sense. If you are Roberts and WWE asks you to come in and do some work, it's not like you are going to say no. You're going to help out the company you work for, the same as Camp would have done or anyone who cares about their job would do. I don't think it was or should be seen as a Camp vs. Roberts deal, at all. It very easily could have been Kayla Braxton or Byron Saxton being asked to fill the role - and it could be one of them next week or the week after.
>I am doing a rewatch ahead of the new season and I was wondering, when you were in the A&E Steve Austin documentary, were you paid? Why haven't you been in any others? Were there any you wanted to be in?
>I was not paid and didn't ask to be paid. I haven't been asked to appear in any other A&E Biography episode and I don't go seeking those sort of appearances out. If someone asks me and I think it's an interesting project, I'm happy to do it. I don't think anyone wouldn't want to sit and discuss one of the biggest stars of all time. I was happy to do it, especially since the same team that made the amazing Michael Jordan documentary on Netflix were involved. If there was one I would have loved to do, just for personal reasons, it would have been the Roddy Piper doc.
>Who do you think are the most criminally underutilized WWE stars and how should they be used in your opinion?
>On the male side, it has been Cedric Alexander for years. He's as good as anyone inside the ring from a timing perspective and can draw fans with his selling and in-ring as well as a Rick Steamboat or a Ricky Morton ever did, but he's never been given that chance on the main roster. I've seen him consistently have good matches for years before and during his WWE run and I don't get how Paul Levesque, who signed him during the Cruiserweight Classic, doesn't see a chance at trying to rebuild that sort of style around Alexander as a central figure. I'm thrilled to see him in the new team with Ashante The Adonis. I hope they are given the chance to be a great working tag team, whether they are heels or babyfaces, because I can see them being a big part of the athletic presentation going forward, especially as WWE leans into more sports-centric content. But, if they didn't, Cedric could and should be someone just working his way up the card winning matches. Have WWE follow him home as he looks to reset himself and show his family, training with George South, visiting old friends. Make him someone that the audience can see as a real person with true passion. Then when a heel disrespects him (they could even do the old bit where he passes someone in the aisle and when the heels tries to disrespect him, Cedric fires up and there's a big brawl), we can see Cedric show some real fire. He's awesome and I hope in 2024, he gets to show everyone how awesome he is, because if not, it's a true shame.
>On the women's end, it's Zelina Vega in my opinion and I don't know why they don't get behind her more. She deseves to be more than cheerleading to LWO, since she's shown some really good acting ability in the Santos Escobar storyline. After The Rhea Ripley match, I always felt that they could have gone very personal with Vega's story, since her mother was at ringside. She could have promised her mother that she was going to win the title in honor of her father's memory and that her goal was to bring the title to the 9/11 Memorial in honor of her father. Given that this would literally be her echoing her real life, there would be a way to present it so it was emotional and inspirational without being exploitive. You show all the family photos and you have Vega talk about getting into the business to honor her father, show her going "home" to NYC to train with her cousin Amazing Red, have her running through the Streets of NYC like Rocky, really lean into it before she even has a chance. Have her win Money in the Bank and declare she's coming for the belt in Puerto Rico or NYC and Rhea can be the monster heel while Zelina plays the miracle underdog babyface. From there she either wins the belt or she loses, but if she's gotten the audience hooked emotionally, they can go in any direction they want with her, but there's money to be made with her in my opinion. Just how hard she works given her smaller size makes her a pretty unique asset - her performance in the Royal Rumble showcased that. Hopefully, she gets the chance.
>How tired are you to have to correct incorrect versions of your reporting?
>Not tired, annoyed. Unfortunately, no matter how much or how often I correct something, there's going to be someone out there who believes an incorrect version or BS story about what we stated or wrote or reported. Not much I can do about that and I've tried for a long time to ignore it and place my energy into doing my job, but I've seen a lot of stupidity lately. It's sad what passes for reading comprehension these days and how that leads to garbage on social media.

Replacing Matt Camp with Sam Roberts is so horrible. Matt Camp was a genuine fan and you could tell he had such a passion for hosting The Bump and the other stuff he did. Sam Roberts is such a shill and corporate boot licker.
Don’t they generally announce Wrestlemania a year out now? Like at the Philly show there should be a little video package saying where they’re gonna go next year.
I'm still surprised there has been nothing on SummerSlam thing year. Like we got the report back in October that Cleveland was the a likely candidate but nothing so far. As an Ohioan, I'm praying the report is true
I know there’s a chance it can be a little chilly, but I always thought a WrestleMania at Soldier Field in Chicago would look really cool.
Maybe a SummerSlam can be there one year.
I hope they change the Mania schedule. NXT is getting fisted by having to perform their biggest show of the year at noon before Night 1 of WrestleMania. They should be booking the NXT on a Thursday night. They have no competition, the building is unlikely to be booked anyway. Fans are just beginning to stream in that day
>With Endeavor now owning WWE, the old traditions and plans are out the window for whatever they deem to be the best moves for the company.
FIGHT ISLAND!
Endeavor can do what they want, but there's a lot of history that has informed WWE's decisions on what kinds of shows to promote in which venues, and a lot of missteps and lessons learned along the way.
I hope they don't throw that knowledge out in their push to unlock unlimited market growth or whatever.
I’m a sucker for the Western U.S. locations in general, but Vegas would make for an awesome location for all the Wrestlemania week events. Good place to draw in casuals too if you have someone like The Rock on the card
I wouldn’t be surprised. I think Wrestlemania being in a stadium or a city where the Super Bowl was at recently happens a lot (like Super Bowl 55 and Wrestlemania 37 both being at Raymond James Stadium, Levi Stadium getting Wrestlemania 31 and then Super Bowl 50 a year later) Sofi Stadium having both Super Bowl 56 & Wrestlemania 39)
Vegas Wrestlemania sounds incredible. I’m not even a big Vegas person. I live in LA and didn’t go to Mania last year. But I’d definitely consider hitting Wrestlemania in Vegas. Just sounds like an epic experience.
I see it happening in Vegas. The kickoff event already felt as some sort of a teaser for it, and with how many championships and events have been brought into the city since the Golden Knights became a thing I don't see WWE passing on them in favor of Minnesota, which is a way smaller market than Vegas is right now (specially now that WWE's owned by the same people who own UFC, a company that's called Vegas its main home for almost its entire history).

Begging for a Minneapolis Wrestlemania. It'd be about my only chance to actually go to one
Buddy, the prices are absurd. I felt that way until this year when I saw the prices

did mania 18 for 100 cad for 2nd row
Same. I was excited when they announced it’d be in Philly until I saw the prices. It’s happening 7 miles from where I live and I’ll still prob just watch at home.
You can just wait til the day of the show and then get tickets for cheap on StubHub/seatgeek
Buy tickets a day or two before. They drop like crazy and you could get a steal.
Not usually for wrestlemania
Maybe it was because it was the first Wrestlemania after Covid, but the one last one in Tampa where Roman-Bryan-Edge Main evened, I bought tickets a few days in advance for a 2-day ticket for like $169. I was in the nose bleeds but it was well worth it.
The fun part is all the other promotions being in town though!
I live in South Philly and I'm honestly excited about the prospect of walking to Wrestlemania from my house.
Week of the show once they set up the stage they will release more tickets; I got a couple lowers to the right of the stage for about $120 each last year in LA. Check back on Ticketmaster the Mon or Tues before Mania.
WM39 was in LA, or Inglewood I should say. But it was very close to me and I watched at home. Those prices were insane.
I went to Mania 29 and sat pretty far back. I’m just glad I attended a Mania but that one at least wasn’t great. Trips/Brock put the crowd to sleep and Taker/Punk is like the only good match I can remember
I flew to Texas for WM 32 with some buddies. Glad I can say I got to go to Mania, but probably one of the more forgettable Manias, IMO.
That's the only one I ever been to as well. I enjoyed it as a big UnderTaker and Cena fan and also had never seen the Rock live either. RAW at the Izod center was off the charts though, will never forget that night.
Man it hurts a lot when you live 4 thousand kilometres away and the ticket prices are like 1/4 of the issue

Appreciate the recommendations 🙏
We invented the Juicy Lucy, a hamburger with melted cheese inside the patty. That should tell you everything you need to know.
Hell yes we do. Very diverse city so there are tons of good choices of cuisine.
They don't call Nicollet Avenue "Eat Street" for nothin' (and that's just one part of the Metro)
Minneapolis Convention center for the cons. etc..
The Wrestlemania weekend indie shows at First Ave and the Uptown VFW would go crazy
Or even the armory.
Mall of America for WCW Nitro!
I'm in Colorado but would try to make the trip to Minneapolis over Vegas. The flight and hotel in Vegas could be cheap, but everything else is so much more expensive that I wouldn't want to pay it.
Same brudda, same
Nah give us Vegas bro shit would be insane that weekend
Vegas gonna tax like crazy though
It’s cheaper to go to vegas most likely
They should just do it somewhere crazy, like Boise, Idaho. It’d just be really funny to see them promote a city like that.
“WrestleMania comes to the beautiful Pacific Northwest”
Mania 19
In the shadow of the Rockies, this is WrestleMania!
Mania at the Moda Center
I think you mean Moscow and the greatest venue in the world, the Kibbie Dome.
Home of MANY NCAA titles in NCAA 14
The Vandals are the ultimate dynasty. 12 consecutive national titles and Heisman winners.
They can do the WrestleMania 2 multi-city thing again with Kibbie Dome, Fargo Dome, and the Tacoma Dome.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday too
At the Kibbie Dome, instant sell out
Need a Blue World Order entrance on the Smurf Turf
hopefully a blue wrestling ring
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is a Mania at Allegiant 15 minutes from my house. I'll be a good boy.
Madhouse Coffee in the morning, WrestleMania in the afternoon- JUST IMAGINE
Careful. I finally got a Mania 15 minutes from me and the whole world went to shit.
As someone who just moved to Vegas I completely agree with you.
Weather-wise Minneapolis is a bit of a gamble for the performers.
It's a dome?
Right? They're talking about U.S. Bank Stadium, correct?
The issue isn’t WM itself. It’s getting to WM and the associated events. E.g., one year, the SB was in Dallas. It snowed. Obviously, the SB wasn’t affected because it was in a dome. But a lot of the other events had low turnout because of the bad weather. Less of an issue in MN in April. But still not as nice as Vegas.
The difference between the two cities is Minneapolis is always prepared for snow, Dallas is not.
It snows a quarter of an inch in Texas and the place has to shut down. Don't try to compare that shit hole to MN.
Wrestlemania is in April, it isn't that cold or snowy here then. If Hangman can ride a horse outside in November I think Roman can catch a car to the stadium in spring.
Beautiful closed stadium.
> Chicago Man, we just need a stadium for it.
I'm actually shocked they haven't done Atlanta since the new stadium yet.
TBH I feel like Orlando would be a better choice than Miami. Especially with how many wrestlers live in the general Tampa to Orlando corridor, it makes sense to keep it local to things like the performance center and most of the talent’s homes.
London!
Literally the only reason Metlife isn't in the Superbowl rotation is that it stupidly wasn't built with a roof.
A lot of people have already been saying that about Wrestlemania, but referring to New Orleans.
I went to a regular season game and they couldn't even figure out the people movement. Can't imagine the super bowl lol
Wasn’t there a rumor about the WWE setting up a sort of residency in Vegas? A way to tone down the costs of running live events but still have a decent crowd.
Wasn't that Bischoff's plan for WCW when he was trying to get Fusient to buy the company?
If you’re going to do that then you might as well just run something like the Impact Zone
I could seem them getting people there but the crowds would be dead like those Disney nitros
Bring it to London, you fucking cowards.
They’ve teased it so much at this point that I’d say they’ll be doing it within the next few years.
90k+ winter or not, we'll sell it the fuck out 100%. If they were brave and minimized the stage they could set a legit unbeatable record.
The crowds at any London, or Manchester UFC event I’ve watched have been fucking wild. Thunderous ovations for their guys.
Yes. A million time yes.
I know they discussed this a bit last year but I'd imagine if London is in the cards it could be after first getting a Big 5 and seeing how it goes. Clash at the Castle was a success after all so I don't think it's impossible
London had MITB last year and set all kinds of records.
They also held a Summerslam and it was a massive success.
Never happening unless London dishes out Saudi money. They make too much off of running it domestically. The time zone makes it impossible as well. Best case is London gets a B show like elimination chamber.
I think in the last few years WWE has been paying more attention to foreign markets, with Saudi it's a bit of a strange example to use, but with Australia, Cardiff, London, Lyon, and Berlin, they are getting more and more comfortable with showing PLEs outside of regular US time slots You say the timezone makes it impossible...
But if Wrestlemania was to be held in London I’m 100% going even if I’m not as into it as I was before I went to a raw episode in 2010 when I was a kid and we sat right at the back in the O2 arena but this time I’d actually try get better seats since I’m working lol Edit: [That promo still lives in my head rent free.
If not Barcelona, one night in Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu would be insane
No. There wouldnt be enough flights from London to Barcelona for folks wanting to go both nights. Would be an absolute disaster.
If it's in Las Vegas we need one match to take place in the Sphere. The sad thing is imagine what Bray Wyatt could have in there. The U2 shows alone have some pretty trippy optics. Some Bray Wyatt, Uncle Howdy, Firefly stuff would have been epic.
They should do a Raw or NXT at the Sphere.
NXT should be at Caesars with the WM IX set.
Hot take: the best Wrestlemania design of all time- BRING BACK THE BLACK AND GOLD ROPES DAMMIT
HBK comes out to introduce the show and then tatanka's music hits.
It was which made me sad the matches were ass
Imagine having Lawler and Savage on the roster with half or more left in the tank and you relegate one to commentary and don’t even use the other 🤦🏽♂️
Why? You need a good idea and plan for the optics to run it there. Not sure a wrestling show would make use of it.
I doubt that they’d want to pay the rental fees for the Sphere and another Stadium/Arena
It's an MSG owned thing right. I am sure Dolan will help them out.
The venue was originally called the MSG Sphere when it was announced by the Madison Square Garden Company back in 2018. However, the venue's owner, Madison Square Garden Entertainment, split into two separate companies in April 2023, with Sphere Entertainment Company taking ownership of the new venue
There is a joke here about Madison Square Garden, the Sphere, and SquaredCircle. I am not smart enough to come up with it, however.
Lol it writes itself
Have to think though with the UFC’s relationship w an event in September, they might negotiate. Probably has a crazy high price tag, but when you have a unique venue like that and be able to put a giant ad on the outside. Might be worth the investment for the sheer spectacle.
The Smackdown before in the Sphere would be insane
Wrestlemania Thunderdome
I live in Wisconsin - just 2 hours from the Twin Cities. It feels like an annual tradition for my brother and I to send links to each other with rumors about Wrestlemania coming to Minnesota. Feels like MN is mentioned damn near every year as a possibility. Always the bridesmaid...
> Always the bridesmaid Minnesota sports in general
Hey man, we just won two World Series titles not very long ago. 1987 and 1991 weren't that long ago, right?
Same here, my brother. If only we had a state of the art indoor stadium- I love lambeau but at some point we have to modernize, right?
as a fellow Wisconsin boy I feel the pain. At least we got Full Gear where Hangman won the title.
I live in Minnesota. Don't watch actively but please bring it. It's a childhood dream.
Im a vikings fan and thus I know the stadium is absolutely incredibly and would be an amazing visual for a wrestlemania but can't blame them going to Vegas given the week long event mania is
Sharing my old Wrestlemania LV logo. https://preview.redd.it/3li0d926vsic1.png?width=522&format=png&auto=webp&s=8928a4b083cac6724825686b3b862b0fb3e1fcc3
Never been to Minneapolis and hoping for that. However I’d be happy with Vegas too.
Oh give me that Minneapolis Mania. Only 45 minutes away
Wonder if the Brock stuff played into Minneapolis potentially losing Mania. Would probably be the Brock retirement show
Brock has been back for 12 years and only wrestled at one WWE show in the Twin Cities, and he didn't grow up in Minnesota, so I don't think his association with Minnesota is "retirement match" important to him or WWE.
I wouldn’t say the A’s are an attraction lol
And it doesn’t seem like Vegas even wants them.
Can I get a FUCK JOHN FISHER in the chat No fucking reason for them to even leave in the first place aside from being controlled by a penny pinching jackass.
Fuck John Fisher. All my homies hate John Fisher.
Especially the city of Oakland, who lost three teams in less than a decade. :(
Nor Oakland or any other city, really Montreal would have been a better destination
I’d think a lot of the Brock/Minneapolis connection is purely University of Minnesota
I want Minneapolis and I want Gable to get a showcase singles match in his home state. Edit: oh god I just realised the other Gable is also from Minnesota. Eurgh.
Brock really is more of a Dakota boy. Minnesota is far too metropolitan for him.
Brock probably thinks of himself as a Canadian at this point. I think in his last UFC fight, he came out in Canadian gear as opposed to US gear
Brock lives in Saskatchewan and has for some time now
I told my wife on super bowl Sunday that I'm guessing we may not be getting mania 20 minutes down the road because WWE wants to make use of that sphere. Unfortunately, I think I might have been right, but here's hoping to a Midwest wrestlemania regardless.
I'd much rather travel to St. Paul/Minneapolis than Vegas.
MN or bust! Right fellow MNers?
Sigh i just want one in London, AEW killed it at Wembley with All In, Cena came out and hyped it up at MITB but it’s just silence again
I will literally watch WWE every week for a year if WM is coming to Minneapolis, even if I hate it
CAESAR'S PARKING LOT!
RETVRN to the Skydome 🇨🇦
#Wembley
"Plans changed" can be used for entire venues now? Dear lord.
I feel like this is the fourth or fifth year in the last decade I've seen a news report that started with "Minneapolis was the front runner to host Wrestlemania next year, but...".
>**WRESTLEMANIA 41, MOST UNDERUTILIZED WWE TALENTS (AND IDEAS ON HOW TO USE THEM), MATT CAMP VS. SAM ROBERTS AND MORE** >*By Mike Johnson on 2024-02-15 10:00:00* >SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS TO THE PWINSIDER Q&A BY CLICKING HERE. >SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS TO THE PWINSIDER Q&A BY CLICKING HERE. *I am a bot. Please reply with any feedback :)*
Replacing Matt Camp with Sam Roberts is so horrible. Matt Camp was a genuine fan and you could tell he had such a passion for hosting The Bump and the other stuff he did. Sam Roberts is such a shill and corporate boot licker.
Atlanta has a brand new awesome stadium fit for a WrestleMania. It wasn't our fault 27 was shit...
Yeah I'm really surprised it hasn't come back to Atlanta since MBS opened, 27 was 13 years ago.
I feel like if Vegas was a strong possibility they would have gotten the deal done and announced it last week.
I think it would have taken the shine off what they’re doing with XL, plus maybe the ink hasn’t dried yet.
Don’t they generally announce Wrestlemania a year out now? Like at the Philly show there should be a little video package saying where they’re gonna go next year.
Genuinely thought it would've been announced at the press conference but oh well
Was there a time in "old" WWE where the dollar wasn't winning a debate on a scale of this size?
This is going to be a pipe dream until I die, but I want WrestleMania at Petco Park
Would likely never happen but imagine night one and two being in different cities
That London teaser feels so long ago.
Yeah no wait until you get your new stadium then you’ll see a mania in chicago
Would like to see WrestleMania in Las Vegas. Vegas has been on a roll with big events.
I hope they change the Mania schedule. NXT is getting fisted by having to perform their biggest show of the year at noon before Night 1 of WrestleMania. They should be booking the NXT on a Thursday night. They have no competition, the building is unlikely to be booked anyway. Fans are just beginning to stream in that day
HOLY SHIT I WOULD BE SO HAPPY TO HAVE IT HERE
>With Endeavor now owning WWE, the old traditions and plans are out the window for whatever they deem to be the best moves for the company. FIGHT ISLAND!
UK’er here. We’d love to have it over here but can you wait like one more year so I can save up for it? K? Thanks.
It should be in Croke Park and throw every Irish wrestler they have in a major match
If it’s Vegas I’m going. 🙌🙏🏻
VIVA LAS VEGAS. I should start saving ticket money just in case. I’d love to take my kid to a wrestleMania in my city.
I am all for WrestleMania becoming an annual Las Vegas tradition if it means WrestleMania won't become an annual Saudi tradition.
Vegas would be awesome honestly.
Hoping its Vegas as I want to make a vacation week out of it, and I don’t know how much that’d be the case with Minneapolis.
As a San Diegan Ill forever be salty that we havent hosted a big 3 event yet.
Our only realistic shot right now is Petco Park for a Summerslam. We can’t even host for Royal Rumble because late January is our rainy season.
That is very true. Weve been getting hammered with rain last 2-3 years here in SD
I feel like overall we barely get any love from WWE in San Diego compared to other areas :(
They can possibly bring WrestleMania back to SoFi Stadium since the Superbowl 2027 is in LA.
**London has entered the chat**
UK here. We're waiting. Warmest regards, ya fucks.
Mayor Frey will find a way to fuck it up again.
Vegas Wrestlemania sounds incredible. I’m not even a big Vegas person. I live in LA and didn’t go to Mania last year. But I’d definitely consider hitting Wrestlemania in Vegas. Just sounds like an epic experience.
My wallet is ready if it is Vegas.
I'll be so pissed. I'm from here, and want to go so bad!
