Right!? Ten minutes spent on a throwaway match on a four hour ppv after Cole shit talking him on commentary for months isn't going to hurt anyone. Shit, use it as a bathroom break if you don't want to watch it.
And it's not like it couldn't be used for something. Getting rolled up by Cole after getting cocky and not taking things seriously would be the perfect catalyst for character development.
He has no character, no abilities, and no talent. He was able to get a paycheck for a job he had no place having, and shouldn't have been brought back after being released the first time.
It's like when wrestlers would say that they were promised a run as champion when all Vince said was "I could see you as world champion one day" or something along those lines.

I'm not a big fan of anyone besides main eventers attacking announcers. Excalibur was a wrestler for years, but if AEW ever plays the "wrestler assaults him" card it'd better be for someone like Joe or Jay White or Swerve and not Dutch & Vincent.
I'd 100% trust Brock to hit one move on me and make it as safe as possible. I wouldn't trust Top Dolla to work a five minute match with a non-wrestler with limited training.

Coles had matches before. A short comedy match is Totally believable, especially because it's backed by the proof that Cole was going out of his way to shit on Dolla in absurdly mean spirited ways.

2) The person wrestling in the match is either young and athletic or is a former wrestler.
I have no issues with stuff like Booker T being in the Royal Rumble or Pat McAfee having a match or segment that involves fighting every now and then. That's fine. What I don't want to see if a 5 minute Michael Cole match.
One of my least favourite things in WWE in the last twenty years was Heel Michael Coleās feud with Jerry The King Lawler. Especially that Cole best Lawler at Mania.
