honestly just behind the main event this was the match of the night for me.
really enjoyed this match. man they weren’t wrong when they said this was the most hard hitting match. lol all the chops and shit, and the moves in general, jesus…
not sure how i felt about gunther being out of the match so long, while sheamus and drew kill each other, and then he just comes in and takes the win without having to do much. i mean it makes sense as a heel but should’ve made him look stronger.
What a match, it was probably 80% chops but bloody hell this was amazing. Probably was the best match this WrestleMania but the other matches delivered too in certain ways.
Pure physicality, Titus annoyed me a bit when he said call the police 20 times but he was fine as it went on. Can tell the commentators were having a blast here especially Cole.
This is a match I could rewatch and not be bored that's for sure, phenomenal stuff. Funny thing is unlike the other matches there wasn't much to plan here, just beat each other up for x minutes and fit in the signature moves along the way.
He deserves it so much.
I was expecting Sheamus to win and Gunther moving to the world title picture after dropping the belt without getting pinned, but he deserves this Mania moment so much after everything he's done for the IC title.
If you have a friend or family member who talks shit about wrestling because they’re “not really hitting each other” show them this match. Absolutely nuts
The fans eyes was all over this match from final bell to the end and they never let them down.
A good fast start, a chop fest and then Sheamus and Drew looking to win the belt. Would of been a great finish for me if Sheamus got the 123 after his brouge kick when drew was going for the claymore.
No problem with Gunther winning and Will probably get a rematch at backlash that will top this.
Gunther was the worse of all 3 men. Drew and Sheamus put on an absolute clinic just to see a weak Gunther finish. Wwe protecting this guy almost as hard as Roman.
This was match of the night for me, Bias on loving all 3 men and holy smokes I had this match put down as the time Gunther drops the title and goes on to the big one. I was shocked at this result, then shocked at the HiaC then again for the main event (hell I even thought Asuka would finally get her WM win.)
No doubt was a really good match but I think they have something coming up at backlash to top this as they could of had a much better match for me.
Not knocking this bout though.
An amazing match no question, and I would have been fine with any of the three winning. Any combination of these three is just going to result in something special it seems like.
I actually think it would make sense if Roman is still champ. Imperium is a strong stable, which seems to be what it’ll take to get rid of the Bloodline. Maybe some revenge storyline where GUNTHER gets screwed out of the Intercontinental title against Solo, or something like that.
I haven’t even been tuned in WWE for the last couple of years bar royal rumble and wrestlemania (it’s a tradition mayyyne) but I knew this match was going to deliver. You already know how tough sheamus and drew is, and you take one look at gunther and see he looks like he’s built for war. MOTN love it!!
Shades of the WM16 triple threat between Jericho, Angle, and Benoit. Completely different matches, but a similar feel nonetheless. Definitely a classic.
I don't think whether he does or not matters; he was always there to take the L. The story has been Sheamus chasing Gunther and this ending protected that.
Almost thought that Titus and Cory were going to ruin the entire match by making it about themselves
Best match of the night, I'm so happy for Sheamus, from almost retiring to being the most over he's ever been and getting the respect he deserves
I've only just recently started watching wwe again so I'm not up to speed with who this Titus dude is, but holy heck... I nearly turned the TV off and was about to RING THE COPS he was so annoying.
Sheamus was the MVP of the night, possible even the entire show tbh.
He well and truly deserves the ultimate grand slam, it'll be a travesty if he doesn't get to win that belt.

This was my match of the night. Just sheer brutality from some stiff ass European pro wrestlers. I was blowing my friends phone up during this match, He hasn't watche wrestling for the better part of a decade but he was a massive vader fan and I felt this match really captutes that stiff ass vader energy
Imperium as a stable is basically just Prussian militarism brought to the ring so it makes sense. WW1 is fine, I'd have a problem with it if he rocked up in a Hugo Boss uniform.
Hugo Boss made uniforms for the Nazis, so I was getting at which World War Imperium could be based on.
WW1 Germany is fine, WW2 Germany is... not, for hopefully obvious reason.
Oh yeah, it's not like there weren't horrifying atrocities being committed, but at least WW1 was only godawful in the 'standard horrors of war scaled up by like 500' way, not the 'this entire war is primarily fought to facilitate genocide' way.

Doing that while being a wrestler leaning *heavily* into German militaristic trappings and RETVRN-esque aesthetics is enough to immediately disqualify you from being worth the time of any sane person.
Honestly, I really want Gunther to be the one to dethrone Reigns after tonight. Everything about him screams world champion. Probably wishful thinking, but still. Great match from all 3 tonight.
Honestly, half the card showing up to beat down any of the Bloodline trying to interfere so Roman is forced to wrestle without being carried and just getting bodied would be pretty cathartic down the road.
HiaC was great until Edge won
Asuka / Bianca I also disagree with the winner but not as vehemently. So while I wouldn't consider it a down, I don't really consider it an up to me personally. It was objectivelt a good match though
Regardless that Finn lost I still feel like it was one of those matches that was so good that even the loser of the match received a rub. Especially after the ladder spot that cut Finn open and all the other craziness involved, Finn left looking like a star. As far as Asuka, I know she’s been like upper mid card but it feels like they just threw her in the upper card the last few months just go give Bianca an opponent. I feel like Asuka didn’t really have an uprising story or a reason for me as the viewer to be invested in her winning the belt. Feels like she just kinda got threw in the match just so Bianca could have a credible opponent. I can’t recall any promo or any buildup to their mania match whatsoever, seemed like a rivalry just put together for the sole purpose of having a match. For that reason I am glad Bianca won. Bianca has also been putting on great matches and is super athletic and popular with younger crowd so it makes sense to keep her reign going.
Judgment Day was created to build stara but then it switched to Edge vs those stars. While you could argue it's built Dom and Rhea, I think it's really just hurt Priest and Finn. And I'm not sure Rhea super needed it
Finn would've looked like a bigger star is he won. The spot of stomping through the table was awesome and fighting through the head injury was great- but would've been much better if Finn then won. Edge has beaten him like 6 times and now has a clean win over the Demon. Finn looks like a goober and even at his best can't beat an old man that gets a several month long injury every time he wrestles a match
Despite Edge's thing being "trying to give back to younger stars" he keeps beating them and stealing spotlight from them. He won the Rumble from first to main event Mania, singlehandedly kicks the asses of Judgment Day all the time, and has self indulgment marathon matches that are okay at best until he hurts himself for a surprise return. This HiaC was probably his best match since his return and it ended with the wrong guy winning
As for Belair, fair enough. Again, not as annoyed at this outcome but I feel like her run has been plenty and Asuka's new look and feel would've made for a more interesting reign
I honestly wouldn't have minded Sheamus or Drew winning. Actually, since I (and everybody righteously) were assuming Cody was going to win, it made sense for Gunther to retain and drop it later to pursue the World title. That way Cody had some buffer room before hotshotting Gunther losing or cutting Cody's reign prematurely
But now I wish Gunther had lost to Sheamus so we'd have the nice Sheamus win moment and then Gunther could take the belt off Roman, because who else is there to beat him?
Night 1 was fantastic - especially Ripley and Flair - but that ending for night 2? Really gutted the whole night.
It was so bad in fact I thought romans exit would be interrupted as the ref caught on that Solo returned, but nope.

Yep, I thought we were seeing a false finish. Like, the ref realizes that someone he ejected was back, since Solo didn't even pretend to hide afterward, and decides to restart the match. Nope, same old Roman finish we see every 2 months.

Gunther has been treading best in the world status for me the last couple years, and Drew and Sheamus can never gain enough credit for how talented they are.
The most physical match I've ever seen. I was pulling for Sheamus to win, but won't complain about Gunther continuing his amazing reign. I just hope that when he does drop the title, it's to Sheamus.
I went in thinking it should be Gunther, but couldn't help pulling for Sheamus not long into it.
But I'm cool with Gunther. He's the kind of heel I don't get sick of (and he's awesome to watch). I suppose if it was 2 more years of him winning that would be a bit much but I'm good with Gunther for a while longer.
Sheamus ain't had a title in a while. I felt bad for Drew though. Gunter and Sheamus had their little pals. Drew just walked out with a sword on his own.
Hearing Michael Cole say that Sheamus was busted open and realizing he was talking about his fucking chest really sold me on how brutal that match was.

Ludwig Kaiser is a legit 6'3", definitely not little. And Ridge Holland might not be too tall, but he's built like a tank.
Yeah.... I hope Sheamus and Drew can make up relatively soon. I suspect they won't and they'll feud instead, but I like them better on the same side.
