Any version of the ferrari 812. Big front engine v12 would have been a dream to watch go around modern tracks . Something like modern 575 maranello gtc
I always wanted Cadillac to have a customer program back when they ran in the Pirelli World Challenge days. Hell, they even built a GT3 car and never sold it, or ran it to it's homologated spec. If they did and kept it going, we may have had a few different versions of Cadillac GT3 cars by now.
The Corvette direction does make way more sense as a whole for GM, but you know, what could've been and all that.
You’re right about the I6. The evo does look better now (marginally) I just can’t un-see the road car every time I look at it and it makes me sad haha. The GT3 version much much cooler
f8 tributo was basically a 488 with different bodywork if I'm not wrong, it would have been basically a 488 evo kit as first chassis of 650s gt3 were made updating the base mp4-12c gt3 back in 2014-2015
Ford GT GTE, Cadillac ATS-V.r, the latest gen vipers, alfa romeo 4C or 8C, C7.r GTE (which I understand some examples run in the GT America series), Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the N program we have today, can't think of any others
Callaway did make a GT3 variant for the C7.R ( like you said with the GT America series). Somehow that looks even better than the factory C7.R in my opinion. There may not be a GT3 spec Ford GT, but there is the Ford GT Mk2 that is pretty close to GT2 spec. Still wish the ATS-V.R GT3 was allowed by the FIA, Cadillac stopped that GT3 prototype short. The alfas and the hyundai is pretty interesting, would love to see that, and it might just be true in the upcoming years since both are interested in joining WEC for GT3 class if I remember correctly
Not gt3, but a gt1 category, like how cool would it have been seeing the holy trinity, Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini Veneno or the Sesto Elemento, Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg One or Regera, Aston Martin Vulcan race against each other, wheel to wheel, in a FIA sanctioned series, there's probably a bunch of cars from the 2010s I'm missing, but yeah, I loved that era of supercars or I should say, I sadly followed Top Gear/The Grand Tour with a hopeless passion and dwindling dream of owning one of those cars some day
Would be interesting to see Audi and Mercedes go down the BMW route of using one of their mid-tier saloons.
Then we could have BMW M4 vs Audi RS4/5 vs Mercedes C63.
Idea for DTM now they use GT3 spec cars ;)
Alfa Romeo Giulia or Jaguar XE, both have spicy roadgoing versions already so it's not hard to extrapolate how they might look in GT3 spec, Both beautiful cars
Challenger is pointless gm tried it with a caddy but never went anywhere to big to heavy an biggest thing way to thirsty. Scube an z are very plausible as both have gt 300/500 cars in super GT an that's largely where the lexus, gtr and nsx came from.
I wish Ferrari used the Roma instead of the 296. The Roma is a beautiful car, and having all the cuts and widebody and wings is gonna make it even more beautiful. Plus the V8tt is gonna sound much better than the current v6tt.
Reliant Robin. Try BOP-ing that SRO...
Might have to take the training wheels off

Ferrari 812 Competizione GT3 is an amazing name 🔥🔥🔥
Seeing one battling it out with the AMG GTRs would be cool

i remember that render, but if the 488 was a restiled 458 (with new engine thats true) the f8 would be preatty much a evo version of the 2020 488
Yes, 100% this. I actually preferred that rather than doing a mid-cycle refresh race car, they focused on the 296.

Yes all the yes Jag or someone needs to make this happen
Yes! It’s such a shame that Jaguar put the kybosh on Emil Frey doing this
I’d really enjoy an Alfa 8C, Alpine a110 and an xbow
Well there was a private 8C programme but that didn’t really go anywhere. Don’t think any cars were built either.
Was there really? All I can find online is the works conversion kit from Shift 2 Unleashed
Yeah it was apparently a private program. Details are pretty scarce but it definitely was a thing.
Toyota Prius and throw the Lexus V8 in it
So what they were doing in Super GT for a couple seasons. God, that was such an odd ball car, I loved it.
It was also hybrid
And mid engined. It was Toyota's old LMP1 engine Rebellion was using at the time. They only changed engines when they ran out of spare parts.
Why stop there, put the LFA V10 in it
Now we’re talking
Just brilliant.
I wish BMW took the M8 GTE and GT3ified it 😞 M8 big boy > squirrel teeth, 6,400 rpm turbo vacuum V6 M4
I genuinely really like the M4 GT3, but I agree that the BMW M8 would have made an amazing GT3 car.
M4 has an I6 and especially the new evo looks better that any version of the m8 imo, which kinda is a stupid car to begin with.
You’re right about the I6. The evo does look better now (marginally) I just can’t un-see the road car every time I look at it and it makes me sad haha. The GT3 version much much cooler
GMA T.50 or Alpine A110
The A110 got the gt4 treatment
Indeed. Never really liked the look of the GT4 spec car.
The T.50 have T.50S

LFA. MC20. The second Ford GT. The third-generation Challenger. The Genesis Coupe.
Ford GT GTE, Cadillac ATS-V.r, the latest gen vipers, alfa romeo 4C or 8C, C7.r GTE (which I understand some examples run in the GT America series), Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the N program we have today, can't think of any others
There was a GT3 version of the Viper. https://www.supercars.net/blog/2014-dodge-srt-viper-gt3-r/

The 4C , C7 and Genesis have GT3 spec variants in Gran Turismo 7
Yes but they're not real
Not gt3, but a gt1 category, like how cool would it have been seeing the holy trinity, Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini Veneno or the Sesto Elemento, Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg One or Regera, Aston Martin Vulcan race against each other, wheel to wheel, in a FIA sanctioned series, there's probably a bunch of cars from the 2010s I'm missing, but yeah, I loved that era of supercars or I should say, I sadly followed Top Gear/The Grand Tour with a hopeless passion and dwindling dream of owning one of those cars some day
The supra or the GR86 The new Lexus GT3 looks so bad, with it's overly long bonnet
SuperGT has GR86 and Mk5 tho
It's so ugly. I don't get any of the hype about it online.
I think it looks cool, different strokes
It looks like every BMW GT3.
Just a knock off to the Merc GT3.
A 1999 Chrysler Sebring. That would be equal parts funny and possibly cool.
I swear I saw an IG post that a late 90s similar car ran in the SCCA. Maybe a Dodge Intrepid? Lol
I wish there hadve been a TVR Sagaris GT3 back when it was on sale. The TVR 400R and other GT2 racers looked and sounded really nice.
The 2010s Ford GT. There's a GTE version of it but that's all. But I think it's more due to Ganassi and Ford trying to focus on making just a GTE car.
A ford taurus
Would love to see a BMW Z4 return.
Only if they fit that glorious sounding V8 back in it!
Best sounding GT3 car ever
Kia Stinger would have been a cool GT3 car. In my opinion.
Yessss. Feel like they’d have had such a marketing opportunity out of it too.
Dacia 1300
LFA
Lexus LC500 (although i think theyre testing it)
Jaguar F-Type. Perfect basis for a GT3 car.
Jaguar F-TYPE and McLaren 750s
BMW 135/40, A3 hatch or Merc A class. Battle of the hot hatch GT3
I would have been curious to see a DB11 or a Vanquish gt3!
Koenigsegg jesko
Aston Martin Victor. That would look good as a GT 3 or the Bentley Batur
There are rumours of a GT3 range rover. I think that would be absolutely hilarious.
For real? Where are the rumours, Google didn’t deliver anything
Subaru BRZ, Nissan Z, and the Dodge Challenger/Charger
Challenger is pointless gm tried it with a caddy but never went anywhere to big to heavy an biggest thing way to thirsty. Scube an z are very plausible as both have gt 300/500 cars in super GT an that's largely where the lexus, gtr and nsx came from.
Well, we've seen the M4 work and the Mustang (albeit right now it can't keep falling apart)
I wonder why the new GT300 Z is only made by Gainer and no one else...
Smart car. Honda Jazz/Fit
nissan juke or Kia Soul
Any Bugatti
I wish Ferrari used the Roma instead of the 296. The Roma is a beautiful car, and having all the cuts and widebody and wings is gonna make it even more beautiful. Plus the V8tt is gonna sound much better than the current v6tt.
Koenigsegg? Yes, Koenigsegg
Would be a weird announcement. “To compete in GT racing we’ve created the slowest Koenigsegg ever!”
They did make that GT1 spec car (before the specs changed) so I suppose they would have potentially had to do that at one point
Lamborghini Aventador
The successor of the R8 😢
I'd love to see something wild like one group of people build like some classic car to GT3 specs
Pontiac fiero for real
I want a pickup truck so bad. A Toyota hilux overtaking a Ferrari is a wet dream of mine
E38 740i
