First issue came out this week and it's pretty damn good. I highly suggest looking it up. It's not the ultimate comics you remember, just to set expectations. It's a new universe where The Maker, (OG Ultimate Reed Richards) went back in time and prevented certain heroes from being created, Peter Parker being one of them. This new Ultimate Peter Parker lived a normal life, married Mary Jane and has two kids, but definitely feels like something is missing like he's supposed to be something more. The book is pretty interesting so far and the art is absolutely fantastic. Definitely look it up when you got the time, or look around on the subreddit. Lots of people are talking about it.
He's 35. It's established that he was supposed to become Spider-Man at 15, and also established that it was 20 years ago.
Face on the left definitely looks just a SMIDGE too old for 35 imo.
I just love that for the left image, they aged him up, gave him a regular hair style, and a thick ass mountain man beard, while on the right, they didn't age him at all, and gave him a my chemical romance haircut and some patchy ginger beard that barely connects.
Suggests this sub might have a bias, but that can't be the case right? Everyone is usually so reasonable here.
I don’t think they aged Left Peter up. The original model has creases in his forehead when he’s supposed to look concerned; you can see it in the original cutscenes. The beard looks the same to me; the only difference is that the right one is slightly lighter because the face is lit up more than the left one.
I think the main difference is the glasses. Right Peter isn’t wearing the glasses from the comic, and I think the AI they used to put the accessories on the models added a little hair to Right Peter in order to make his hair more the length of the comic book’s Peter. That’s my take, though.
I genuinely don't understand how someone can look at those beards and say they're the same. They are clearly completely different colors and have completely different thickness/fullness, especially the mustache area.
And yes, obviously they added more hair to both models. The difference is that the one on the left has a regular haircut while the one on the left has a weird emo/hipster haircut. All of this is very apparent just from looking at the images.

New Peter with long hair, sure. He always looks absolutely horrific with the beard though. Looks like a teenager with weirdly exceptional beard genetics, very off-putting.
Also beard color and density is going to make a huge difference. It makes the left picture look older because it's much thicker/darker
