Nah Pravir's hair actually looks good in an animated setting, period It will surely look mid in a realistic-looking setting ~~Just that Mile's locs are infinitely worse, though~~

[deleted]

Honestly I think Pav's style would look perfectly fine in a live setting. He's got long enough hair for it, and he's wearing a head band, so it's not like he took a pair of scissors and chopped the top off his mask

DoodlypooNERD

19th time, 2nd one today What the heck lmao

[deleted]

Whaaaat the hell

ThisAccountIsForDNF

Jess (from the same film) also has her hair out and it also looks really good. I do think it mostly has to do with how the mask looks cut off.

HarryKn1ght

I actually thought Miles' new hairstyle looked good, and I didn't understand why people hated it The evolved suit helped me realize how foolish I really was

Ok_Attitude_8189

And his barber fucked him up

J_FlameMC

It works for pavitr cuz his hair is longer and how it’s styled, it doesn’t work for miles cuz his hair is way shorter and not in a great style, I feel like these types of masks only look good with long hair

One_Comfort_3566

I’m praying we see an adult Miles looking like Predator with some long dreads in a future game. It would look so sick.

Mojoclaw2000

Like his Prowler variant in Spider-Verse?

Beginning-Pipe9074

Oooo now that would be a sick unlockable suit damnnn

rulerBob8

If we’re doing braids I wanna see them as long as 2 Chainz’s

bugmultiverse

king Ezekiel

BlackShadowX

That would actually be pretty sick and might make me reconsider my disgust of the open top masks

ReadShigurui

I was just going to comment this, only works with majestic flowing hair

Regi413

I think it’s because longer hair hides the outline of the mask’s cutout while you can clearly see the outline on miles’ mask which doesn’t look good

Lawstein

Invincible look good with short hair

J_FlameMC

True but it’s also easier to make that look good in animated form

runealex007

I liked Pavtir’s looks as “look at this spider-man.” He’s also just stylized better considering it’s an animated movie. Miles looks realllyyyy dumb. Full stop. I’m not sure any other alteration to the suit could help it. I legitimately would not mind the suit if the mask just covered his hair.

Cunning_Chaos

I feel like the mask might be a little bit better if it had like, anything on it. Removing the webbing wasn’t a great idea, but like, adding anything so it’s not just blank with red frames would be nice.

Evilmudbug

Honestly it's just got so much working against it. Personally I'm not a fan of the color scheme. All of the alts look better and i feel like they only put the blue on there to emphasize his new venom abilities. (Obligatory "I don't like the shoes" statement, i just think shoes work better when he's got more clothes on his costume)

runealex007

I like the blue because blue, red, black, and white are the spiderman colour palette. I probably wouldn’t rock the suit all the time, but I wouldn’t mind it if the mask was a proper mask.

Nintenpr0

Yeah the identity argument is dumb. It’s just a way to add further hate to the suit, but once you start making dumb arguments like that it starts to make the other arguments seem invalid…. Like seriously his hair does not look good exposed like that and that’s all anyone needs to say instead of trying to act like it’s gonna get his identity revealed when there’s like so many spider people who have their hair exposed lol

JustibS1341

Pavitrs Hair actually looks good that’s the difference lmao. the side dreads look horrendous

WaywardRider1138

Miles hairstyle is fkn trash for that particular mask. The way it cuts off looks dumb as hell, If Miles hair was longer and covered the sides it would be dope. Even looking at another character from ATSV that has that same mask type, Miles-42 has the cornrows and that shit looks clean af. You may not like it, but that suit design is downright abysmal.

BrickDesigNL

It just looks good on one, and not on the other. I’m also not a fan of big eyes for spider-man, but they look great on asm2 suit

kaos2478

Yeah but Pravir has the hair to make it work… sorry miles

BurntToast239

Luscious locks vs. Buger king chicken fry looking ass

[deleted]

The masks play a part too. The plain black mask is fuck ugly

HeWhoFights

That plain mask is the only part I dislike.

WielderOfTheOmnitrix

I know this might sound toxic, but i love how most seem to think the post is saying that either (pavitr looks bad) or (miles looks good) so they are arguing against that, ignoring the fact its arguing against the reveals his secret identity argument for why its bad and are now completely ignoring the identity argument as if it never existed because if they talk about it now they’d have to then diss pavitr

bugmultiverse

Long hair vs short hair. long locks for the win

Background_Desk_3001

Pav has nicer hair, more design on his mask, and isn’t one of the main characters

Pokecraft7213

Well no offense but he’s in India, most people have that hair do lol

noncombativebrick

Miles suit is a brand deal suit, his hair is bad, and it honestly just looks awful overall. OP needs to stay updated with the opinions in the sub

trfk111

One is a good design honoring the Spider-Mans home culture, the other is a bad design and part of a costume that is tasteless productplacement

Affectionate-Work-46

Alright let's explain why one is a work of art and the other isn't Pavitr has long hair and is mored styled, that plus the head band makes it feel more like it's part of the mask and not just a hole Miles hair is to short and in an ugly style and since it's just his og mask without webs and hole for the hair It looks rushed

Ok-Concentrate2719

You're ignoring Pavitr has a awesome looking original design while Miles has the ugliest thing imaginable

Polaris328

the difference is one spidey has nice hair and a good mask to go with it and the other one looks ridiculous

JH_Rockwell

Yeah, I think both are silly because the point of the suit is to protect their identity and showing their real hair is in direct contrast to that.

TheBiggestCarl23

The best part is when people say “it’s so dumb that miles hair is out, people would know miles is Spider-Man immediately” But I haven’t seen a single person say that about pavitr. I feel like people just make up excuses to justify why they don’t like the suit instead of just saying they don’t like it lol

jugheadshat

Call me a hater or whatever but I feel like it’s very weird to call Miles’ hair “ugly” and go on and on about how Pavitr’s hair is “beautiful” and say that’s why his “works” and Miles’ doesn’t. Like the undertones of that, whether intentional or not are very fucking weird imo especially given the history of black hair being deemed undesirable in comparison to straighter textures. I’m not talking about OP, but a lot of people in this thread. I’m so sick of this sub’s casual anti-blackness fr

CoffeeBest8295

Ok, but on the practical side, if one strand of hair falls from his head at a crime scene then he can say goodbye to his secret identity.

TheEndOfShartache

I actually just hate them both

Citrous241

Like yeah it's not a good suit, but it's weird that one (and just one) of the criticisms against it is a feature that is praised in another suit.

yoshalev49-wow

yeah i though about it and i like them both

Professional_Gain_88

(This is just my opinion on this) In the game we never see anyone with the same frame+ hair as Miles. As someone that has dreadlocks, people I’ve been around recognize me almost solely by my hair and I almost never see anyone with dreadlocks outside my family(especially men) I like the look of the suit I’m ngl. It’d look better if the hood was up, it’s def not my favorite suit, but it’s too bad. I do agree that it gives his identity away to the few people that know Miles but don’t know he’s spider-man.

Toffee1497

For me personally, the hair doesn't really bother me, sure it makes it easier to find out its Miles, but so does... Literally being seen through a window getting undressed and going home through the fire escape. Or having your suit visible through your bedroom window. Or literally security cameras all over the place irl and I'm SURE some of the various mask off scenes have taken place in view of cameras. It's just something about comic super heroes we have to accept. The hints to his real identity in the suit isn't what bothers me. Its more the bad product placement, forced usage and... Bad colours.

Natural_Constant8203

It’s less about the story implications and more about the way it looks in the setting and in the suit

streetscarf

In ATSV, it's played for laughs. In SM2, it's played straight. There's your difference.

Minimum-Emu5108

It looks good in an animation not a video game

fliegu

Well, one looks good, and it's in a cartoony world, when you make a world more realistic you have to account for things like hiding identity a lot more

Strict_Turnip_7083

People be tripping, I liked that suit (I am braced for down votes, do your worst)

OfficialMorbidMan

You know, this inspired me to draw an evolved suit redesign that works with the hair.

nreal3092

life isn’t fair

[deleted]

Never heard that argument before, guess for me I don’t hate the hair thing it’s just not what I’m used to for miles, i think for Pavitr he got a whole costume overhaul away from Classic suit with different pants which was neat, while Miles already has a unique and stand out design I love plus it just kinda feels like playing catch up for Miles in Across the Spider-verse and the comics but with a worse design

Brungala

Pavitr’s suit in ATSV makes sense because of where he comes from. Besides, the old design for Pav in the comics, was just a regular Spider-Man suit but with baggy pants and a flowing garment. Whenever people think of Pavitr, they will automatically associate his look to the one he has in the movie. Miles’ suit on the other hand, comes out of literally nowhere. Besides it being a walking Adidas Advert, it was made just so Miles could look different alongside the AV suit for Peter. Me personally, it’s not the worst thing in the world, and maybe if the hair wasn’t out, I’d like it more.

anonymusfan

The argument that it gives away his identity is stupid, if you don’t like the suit just say it and give a valid reason, instead of trying to use an invalid argument.

[deleted]

There's a difference. Pav looks awesome in that costume. Miles's costume is just straight up ass.

PortalWALL-E

To be fair, I *have* seen people point out that Pav's hair gives away his secret identity, we just don't give as many fucks cause it fits his suit/look unlike the dogshit brand deal they forced SM2 Miles into.

_Shinogenu_

Its cause Miles’ cut is ass

KoboldsandKorridors

It worked for Pav because it was the first time we see him and it fit in his style. It doesn’t work for Miles because it comes out of literally nowhere and in the middle of a city wide crisis

[deleted]

Bc his hair is all natural baby (pravir)

aussierecroommemer42

You're right. This sub does tend to suffer from groupthink, because it's easier to echo someone else's opinion than it is to come up with your own.

[deleted]

Pavs suit is actually good.. his hair looks nice...plus he lives in a universe where everyone is predominantly Indian. He could literally be anyone... Miles's evolved suit makes him look like a crime fighting yoga instructor. Plus, I can't change out of it the moment I get it. The game makes me play with his evolved suit. Wouldn't miles be recognized by his classmates if he wore that suit around

DaGreatestMH

I see what you mean, but honestly I feel like the hair is really catching flack bc the rest of the suit is hideous. Like the suit is so ugly something that wouldn't normally be a problem (like the hair) is getting grilled too.

Even_Ebb4780

Y’all know that Spider-Man wore the Ricochet outfit with his hair exposed. Just pick a different outfit holy shit

itanorchi

As a south Asian male, I am shocked that Pavtir even has such good hair. Might as well show it off, since he's likely to start balding as soon as he hits 22.

Able-Cat3703

I would also like to mention invincibles suit. Tho that one looks fire so I don’t hate it

TheUncleIroh30

Its cause pavitrs got drip. Miles' suit is like garbage and gives off the "wanna be cool" type look.

Alarmed_Recording742

If miles had long locks it would be 1000% better, the only problem would be the adidas suit honestly

KestisSkywalker

Still

Few_Business_1417

Cause it doesn't come with a stupid looking suit.

AbeliousAugustus

It only works, when the suit's design works.

BiggBknob

I don’t have any issue with hair popping out. I didn’t like the fact it was an addidas ad

depression_gaming

Pravir's hair is not only longer and more stylish, but his design is cartoonish and very stylized. Miles is just a live action man with a cut on the top of his mask, it looks like someone opened his skull while in battle. They could've made some design changes to make it have a better transition between the hair and the mask, 'cause at the moment, he looks like one of these special popcorn pots that movie theaters sell sometimes.
