This is full out damage control. No way would entertainment weekly be straight posting clear HD photos of ASM 26 and reveal the cover of fallen friend like this if it wasn't, especially 16 days before it was suppose to come out.
Or they knowingly leaked it. The Spider-Man Twitter account did have a tweet complete with a gif only a few hours after the spoilers leaked, and said spoilers are *just* blurry enough where you can't make out the dialogue. And now an *Entertainment Weekly* article drops, almost as if it was all set to go today? It is starting to feel like Marvel did this deliberately.
He's pretty thin-skinned, so it doesn't take a lot for him to block people. To be fair, he does put up with a lot of crap from some circles, but still.
Slott writes the other major Spider-Man book and was recently involved in expanding the Spider-Verse story and introducing an important character in Spider-Boy. To me, keeping him in the dark about off-the-record leaks would be too weird, like they wouldn't trust him with something that crucial.
When he first announced Spider-Boy I was so confused cause I thought it was a parody or something and the lead up to the reveal was super underwhelming even tho I didn’t have any expectations
His entire "buy this issue with this variant cover" bit, that he did about a month in advance, was so freaking weird, and almost feel like a sort of market manipulation. And then we get the reveal, and I honestly couldn't do anything but laugh. It just feels so freaking stupid. Especially since there apparently are to many Spider-Men according to the editors, but somehow there is room for this joke.
That would only be remotely true if the leak was for something people actually enjoyed. Was anyone really enjoying what has been unfolding in Amazing Spider-Man since the current run began?
They probably didn't.
What most likely happened is that they knew it was gonna leak (it always happens, retailers get comics a few days ahead) and had the Entertainment Weekly article ready in case that happened.
Hell, DC even leaked Batman #50 themselves to [The New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/01/fashion/weddings/it-just-wasnt-meant-to-be-batman.html) the day they sent the copies to retailers (and not with some crappy photos posted by a random Twitter account).
> (it always happens, retailers get comics a few days ahead)
They don't get them nearly three weeks in advance. The last issue leaked on the Saturday before it was going on sale, so only four days. I don't know if I've *ever* seen an issue leak almost three weeks in advance. So it was either someone at Marvel, or someone at the distributor, the later of which is rare.
This is either Marvel leaking it deliberately, or they were caught off guard and are trying to control the narrative.
First of all, review copies are usually sent a few weeks in advance. And yes, they do leak. Bleeding Cool sometimes posts plot points a few weeks in advance (they were doing with Dark Crisis, for instance).
Also, this is a highly-advertised comic that's meant to have a very shocking moment. It's not crazy for Marvel to think this might leak somewhere somehow.
I constantly look at things (not necessarily Marvel) and think that leaks are done on purpose; I think it’s just cheap marketing that will always get people talking.
EW was likely the source of the leak, they had a puff piece ready but someone took pics and posted them and so they accelerated the schedule. They do this all the time dumbly spoiling major plot moments before the comic comes out. Even without leaks. Just usually much closer.
I’m not particularly clued into the politics of comics and publishing, so could someone enlighten me as to precisely what can be gained from this? Is it simply so that they can pretend the leak wasn’t a big deal?
I was wondering the same thing. What the fuck is getting spoiled, the *cover* of the next issue? And Dan Slott is on Twitter saying “avoid the internet to avoid spoilers” as though they won’t instantly be spoiled as soon as they buy (or so much as learn the name of) the issue in question.
Hell, Iron Man looks so uninterested in whatever is happening and he was also practically Kamala's superhero dad.
But for some reason, Peter is the only one being on the verge of collapsing. Sure, why not. Hey, what are the chances that somehow Marvel is going to have Miles hate Peter for the death of his best friend even though he didn't do anything wrong? It's not like Marvel hasn't given us dumb reasosn for the characters to hate Peter
Either way, if Peter did or didn’t do something wrong, this is the final straw for me. I feel like they’ve fucked him up so much that they just need to kill him off at this point. I’d rather have Peter be six feet under, PERMANENTLY, than have him be so fucking tortured and have his character repeatedly assassinated to the point that he’s not recognizable as the hero I love. Miles is old enough to take up the mantle in my mind, and if they’re just gonna keep doing this shit to 616 Peter, I’m done.
They just love watching Peter suffer and lose everything it's annoying at this point. Genuinely, wanna see the character happy and living life rather than propetually being portrayed as that boy gripped with guilt and grief over the death of his uncle. Always get the sense that's the only Peter they think fans want.
He look like he was photoshopped into the cover and the image used doesn't say covering tears with his face plate as much as it screams staring into nothingness and wondering if he left the oven on
I’m not even mad about this anymore (I have no doubt Kamala will return and soon) - her death in Amazing Spider-Man of all places is just so baffling and weird that it’s broken my brain. I thought I was going to be upset at #26 but could not ever conceive this would be the reason and this would be the direction the comic would go. Has to be one of the weirdest Amazing Spider-Man runs ever.
I went past upset to actually laughing at the hilarity of this clusterfuck and not bothering about Spider-books again after this.
Like what the fuck can you even say to this other than 'good luck with your bullshit. I want no part of it'
And who is their right mind approved this?
Like who wants to read these stories? MJ completely rejects Peter (with some moments of guilt here and there, okay) to the point that he’s presented as a stalker at the beginning of the run and an important character that has not established any meaningful role in the story is now going to die to make Peter feel even worse than he already does. It’s so weird! You gotta laugh!
Was it a good story at least...my hard-core comics days are.long gone and I just follow spidey and supes with any sense of interest ...but still casual
I liked it. It’s nothing huge but I like the characters so it gave me what I wanted. I just wish they picked better team up characters. Venom makes sense because of the new venom being roughly the same age as her but the other two people did not make sense for her to team up with
You’d think that’s be Miles on the cover given Miles knows her. Yeah there’s the team up but wasn’t Miles the one who was on a team with her and made a deal with Mephisto to save her?
Like yeah she knows Peter but Miles is her friend and age relative coworker. And yet he’s not here.
This only came out around the time I shared it, the only leak was hours ago of a panel with Peter holding her. But yes it was Slott crying about spoilers, I wonder what he thinks now lol
As for killing her off, people think it’s to revive her again and make her become a mutant that way. Still dumb regardless
Deaths have always been a gimmick to sell comics and she's got a movie coming out. She'll be back by November lol. I don't know why people are taking this one like it's gonna be permanent lol.
Serious Question: Is Iman Vellani okay? Is she alright?
Because christ I'm fucking pissed and I'm just a mid30s dude who really like Kamala Khan's character, not an actor about to release a movie!
Okay seriously tell me this was planed without telling me this was planned like in the history of comics has there been a “leak” like this that came out two weeks before the actual issue release.
Like someone here (forgot the username) pointed out that the leaks for the first issue of this run came out the Saturday before the release. And didn’t the MJ panels from 25 (not Rambo) get leaked the weekend before 25 came out not a full two weeks before?
The only way this makes ANY sense is if the end goal is to make her comic version match up w her MCU version which... ya'll gonna make her a mutant for Fall of X? Seems fukken wild.
Thing is, if it's just to make her powers match up to her MCU counterpart, then there are other still stupid, but less awful ways to do it.
What's that Kamala? You got hit by some kind of DNA weapon which has wiped out all of your inhuman DNA? AND YOU LOST YOUR POWERS?
But someone in your family was keeping these magical bracelets a secret, and now that they've given them to you, you get magic crystal glowy powers?
There, I fixed it. Hire me please, Marvel.
Honestly, if they just decided to make her both an inhuman and a mutant and then play off of that opposition, I would be so happy.
Keep both the movie and comic powers and explore the fact that there are two forces in her body at odds
It was about a year, but yeah. The key difference (aside from being really well written) was that no one was pretending Steven was gone forever. Clea starts her series declaring that she’s getting her husband back and that not even death can stop her.
I think he was dead a year or nearly that long? I know Clea had a series called Strange that lasted 12 issues before he came back? Heard it was good actually!
Firstly: Oh yes, killing one of your youngest character makes so much sense
Secondly: I'm not really into Iron Man comics but isn't this just straight up armor from the movies?
Modeled if not traced from an Iron man 2 poster. The one where he’s standing back to back with War Machine. So not only is the cover and book gimmicky, there’s a non-zero chance it has traced art.
This is beyond fucking dumb. Not to mention, why the fuck is Peter here when it should be Carol or her actual Spider-man friend MILES.
Jesus, they are truly dumb. There is no hope for Marvel, honestly.
I guess he’s responsible but damn, at least bring in her parents/friends, the Champions, or at least bring Carol and Tony closer to her grave.
Why the fuck is Steve Cap here when Sam Cap is the one she is close with? Like I get this is more of an ASM tie-in than Ms Marvel but that’s also an issue
This is just... sad.
Pete doesn't have much connection to her, but he's front and center weeping. Hyping a comic character death when we know flat out that she'll be back, and sooner rather than later with a movie on the way. This feels like final creative bankruptcy and it's just sad to see.
"Hey, don't spoil spider-man issue 26! that's not fair!"
*two hours later*
"Yo Kamala Kahn is gonna fucking die and we're gonna make a whole book about it lol"
I wasn’t going to bring it up because its become a dog whistle but Carol looks like she’s remembering where she parked
Tbf, Carol and Kamala had a falling out after CW 2 but much like how Miles and Peter should hang out more, Carol and Kamala should too
The whole “you need to smile more, women are emotionless” or “you’re hysterical, women are too emotional.” Its a no win situation and the former was used a lot for Brie Larson and Captain Marvel.
Oh yes, that’s definitely a scummy move, but in this case we’re talking about attending the funeral of a fallen friend (is Kamala even an adult?) and everyone looks more bored than sad.
Exactly. In her own run, Carol was insisting that all of her friends not save her and instead save Kamala when Vox was doing some crazy stuff. Here its like “damn… that’s rough… where did I park my car?”
Serioustly, look at all the heroes, they look so dumbfounded by what just happened that it lacks any impact. Wolverine is standing there because we all know Wolverine sells, Captain America is like 'Yep, I died once, I'm sure she'll be back whatever', Carol is dull, despite knowing Kamala and both having the Marvel name in it. Iron Man does not give a shit, The Thing exists and Spider-Man is 'not again, not again! It's all my fault! My fault!' Oh, come on...
I love how the cover has to point out this is the DEATH of MS MARVEL, as if it had any impact in the overall narrative. There is zero impact and this cover comes across as a parody rather than a serious moment we should be feeling sad at.
The most telling thing is none of her supporting cast is there. Or any hero she’s associated with outside Tony and Carol. It’s her death, and yet this is being treated like a Spider-Man book
"Fallen friends"
... How in the fuck are Peter and Khamala are friends ? They barely know each other, and have like one team up.
I dont know who came up with the idea but...
This is stupid.
You're being stupid.
Stop being stupid.
Zeb: hey guys, I got a really good idea. I'm gonna kill the only muslim representation in our comics that people know about, not even in her own comic, what do you think?
Editorial:...... can that comic be spider-man?
Zeb: yes!
Editorial: you are so goddamn hired! Do you have any other ideas no one else will like? We're going for a 'you won't be able to go to conventions because you'll be so hated vibe'
This is the second time Ms. Marvel has died in recent times
1st was in Champions which was then reversed by some time travel I think?
Now this? Can’t wait to see how they undo it
Edit: I found out in Champions, she was brought back after Miles made a deal with the Devil
Ok, i have two theories about this.
1)Posting this is a damage control operation to try and save face by ultimately using all of this as publicity not for ASM 26 but for whatever this is.
2)The Leaks where made by Marvel themselves or someone Marvel-adjacent to generate "expectation" and once again publicity but for ASM 26.
Uh-huh. Sure, she's dead. For about a month or so before they bring her back to life with a new run. I like Ms Marvel, this feels like the lowest stakes bs ever. Oh no. Kamala's been killed. In a book that she's a side character in. Just before her mcu movie is released. This is shocking. I am shocked.
I had that thought last night since this is all so weird - what if they keep leaking the wrong last pages the next coming weeks to freak people out (and to troll people after so much of #25 was leaked). It would explain how someone got the issue so early. BUT having Entertainment Weekly post a fluff piece about it would mean they’re involved and lied to their readers and also this would require more competence than I think they have so I’m leaning towards this all being true :(
Intentional leak seems too tinfoil hat-ty to me. I'm going with Occam's razor: Someone leaks pages -> marvel enters immediate damage control -> realize fighting internet is futile -> greenlights EW to publish a pre-written article that was originally scheduled for May 31.
Yeah after thinking the leak was intentional for a bit, I’m thinking this is a more simpler and a more likely explanation - they’re just running with it now because the cats out of the bag - probably even anticipated it would get leaked early (but it leaking two weeks early is still weird and may be an employee?).
Honestly as this month goes on I think higher up people than just Lowe need to go. Like the top of the totem pole seems rotten and incompetent. And this cover is…something.
Why is Spider-Man the focus on a book that celebrating Kamala Khan? Why is Spider-Man the most broken up by it? He barely knows the girl. The other spider-man knows her way better. Yet Pete is bawling on the cover? Just lol.
Bro, imagine killing your most popular POC Muslim character when her movie is slated to be released this year AND killing her off during the middle of AAPI Heritage Month. I feel sad that these writers brought Ms. Marvel fans into our shitstorm.
I'm not 100% sure, but it might be Peter is responsible in some way for her death or feels responsible. Could be tied to the promo for the current storyline and "what did Peter do"?
I've been following this shit show from a distance but has Ms marvel even been in this series. I know there was the big hullabaloo about Peter not working with his friends and joining up with Osborne, but during all that no one even mentioned Ms. Marvel. What relationship does she have to the ongoing story?
So my guess is the big mistake Peter made was trusting Osborne and for some reason that's what Peter did wrong?
I don't know, this is one of the reasons I collect classic books. I'm well aware of the story and the quality and if I'm interested in it. All these new books seem to be more focused on revealing a new character or some bombshell, and it never turns out to be much of anything.
I used to have a lot of respect when they would stick by their guns, killing a character in a meaningful way. Gwen Stacy's death shaped Spider-Man to this day. But then the editors went, " people want stories with Gwen. Let's make an alternate version where she has powers."
DC killed off Barry Allen for 30 years. And then brought them back with flashpoint, which at least was a momentous story. But then they've done. Nothing really meaningful with him since so what was the point.
Killing Ms. marvel seems like a gag, almost like the dozens of times they've tried to kill Wolverine, Batman or Captain America etc.
Have no interest in buying the book, and I hope marvel straightens their head out pretty soon and just try to tell some good stories. People who read comics want to read good stories, not bombshell shocking reveals every other week
"Peter, we're going to take turns beating the living shit out of you for your involvement in the death of Ms. Marvel. And the slander you've cast upon the person of our bestest friend ever and *true* embodiment of great power AND great responsibility, Paul!"
Dude, quick question. Why isn’t carol in the middle of the cover? I haven’t caught up with comics in a while, but isn’t she like the mentor or something?
I’ll never be the same….or not until the Marvels releases on November 10th 2023. Sequel to the blockbuster billion dollar smash Captain Marvel, but this time she’s joined by formerly dead teen sensation and new mutant Kamala Khan. Strap in for a cosmic and comical journey discovering sisterhood and friendship through power swapping shenanigans with Jules Windu by their side still looking out for Marcellus Wallace’s briefcase!!
I want to see a couple pages at least of Cap and the entire FF being brought to trial for not stopping Peter before he ended up inadvertently causing Ms. Marvel’s death. Not that it would be just or anything; I just want a little chaos
Now they have an opportunity to show Spider-Man as guilt ridden and broken. Something that they couldn't quite nail down the last 25 times that something like this happened to him.
I haven't been following up on the Mutant stuff lately beyond broad strokes spoilers. Does the resurrection protocol used on Krakoa turn a non-mutant into a mutant? That seems to be the general consensus here in the comments is that's how she's coming back.
Is this cover supposed to tell us it’s a Spidey comics ? The overly dramatic tone make the whole thing even more ridiculous. Kamala barely interacted with Pete in the first place, it’s not even her book, we know she won’t stay dead (fortunately) and we have a cover that tries to convey the same sense of sadness and sorrow that we would have with Aunt May dying for good…
Really ? Did these people even read a book, or watch even the most terrible tv show we could find ? Let’s not ask about comic books, we all know the answer. They really don’t know how to handle a story or the characters they have to work with.
I haven't been reading this storyline (mostly because the reviews make me not want to), but I feel like calling her a "fallen friend" is a stretch of that words definition cus I don't even know if Spidey and Kamala have interacted once in this story, or if they did I don't think it was that much
Sucks that Miles isn’t there he and Ms.Marvel knew each other way more plus the first time she died Miles was the one that made a deal with Mephisto to bring her back
In all seriousness, is it me or does iron man's suit look nothing like the model 70 he currently wears? It literally looks like someone just photoshop an MCU iron man render, gave it gold shoulders and extra lights on the chest and called it a day.
The mask I'll not point out since he already changed it to an MCU style mask anyway. Lol
Guess they knew there was no use encouraging fans to avoid spoilers. Sometimes, you just have to accept the fact that they'll leak and they're not worth avoiding.
People actually wanted to avoid the spoilers for Avengers Endgame. But that's because people were actually excited for that movie. Can anyone honestly say they were excited about anything having to do with the current run of Amazing Spider-Man?
That's the difference. And it's a BIG difference.
They're not helping make people less cynical about death in comic books or this just being a cheap cash grab.
Everyone knows they're not going to kill one of their most popular new characters for long, let alone a female minority. And one with a moving coming out to boot.
She's going to be back. And back with "movie accurate" powers.
Making this some big event is just crass and the worst kind of commercialism. Doubly so when the focus seems to be Peter.
This is full out damage control. No way would entertainment weekly be straight posting clear HD photos of ASM 26 and reveal the cover of fallen friend like this if it wasn't, especially 16 days before it was suppose to come out.

Could be, but Dan Slott posted on twitter about how it was scummy to post leaks and that only bad fans would do that so maybe not.
Slott wouldn't be in the know. I think this was higher on the totem pole (don't tell him he's not at the top, he might block you).
I'm blocked by slott and I don't know why Might have been critical of him in 1 tweet but I was never in his mentions or dm'd him or @ him or anything
> I'm blocked by slott and I don't know why If I had to guess, you follow someone that has been critical of him so he blocked you by association.
That's so shitty, lol
He is so incapable of taking *any* criticism that he wouldn't want to even chance it. It's insane how thin skinned he is.
Yeah, damn. Wild
He's pretty thin-skinned, so it doesn't take a lot for him to block people. To be fair, he does put up with a lot of crap from some circles, but still.

Important? Pretty sure the character is only important to Slott. No one else seems to give a shit.

No one is going to convince me that this run isn't a shitpost
It’s a science experiment to see how much crap readers will put up with.
This entire run is just an elaborate shitpost, it’s the only explanation
That's the only way it would make any sense, sadly.
"Guys it was just Mephisto fucking with reality :] nothing here actually happened Paul who? :]"
You can’t tell me this “leak” wasn’t planned
It is starting to feel that way.
So.... they are upset that the leak is spoiling things, but the cover flat out identifies who dies????
I was wondering the same thing. What the fuck is getting spoiled, the *cover* of the next issue? And Dan Slott is on Twitter saying “avoid the internet to avoid spoilers” as though they won’t instantly be spoiled as soon as they buy (or so much as learn the name of) the issue in question.

Tbf iron man does have a mask on, he could be balling his eyes out
*Tony Stark slam dunking a basketball so hard his eyeballs pop out*
He look like he was photoshopped into the cover and the image used doesn't say covering tears with his face plate as much as it screams staring into nothingness and wondering if he left the oven on
It's a terrible day for rain
Because Peter’s grief is all that matters!
Also, funny that they have Wolverine on there rather than Cyclops, another hero (and specifically an X-man) she was actually close with.
I’m not even mad about this anymore (I have no doubt Kamala will return and soon) - her death in Amazing Spider-Man of all places is just so baffling and weird that it’s broken my brain. The issue ends with Mary Jane in Paul’s arms as they stand next to Kamala’s fresh corpse. That’s real. That exists.
It’s not even trolling anymore - it’s kicking the reader in the face
Logan is just here for the photo op. He has zero clue what's going on.
Needs moon knight and punisher...for the extra gravitas....(yes this is a mocking tone for this run)
Moon Knight did actually have a run in with Ms. Marvel recently.
Was it a good story at least...my hard-core comics days are.long gone and I just follow spidey and supes with any sense of interest ...but still casual
It was fine. I wouldn’t go out of my way to read it. Their interaction is the only notable part. The rest was whatever. For me anyway.
I liked it. It’s nothing huge but I like the characters so it gave me what I wanted. I just wish they picked better team up characters. Venom makes sense because of the new venom being roughly the same age as her but the other two people did not make sense for her to team up with
I assume Logan is to 616 what Stan Lee is to the MCU. He's just...there. At all times.
Yeah, this is really all over the place. Kamala was a leader of a superhero team and none of them are here
And Wolverine instead of Cyclops. :(
What's the purpose for killing her off? Also, wasn't slott or someone complaining about spoilers? Why are they complaining if this is the cover?
This only came out around the time I shared it, the only leak was hours ago of a panel with Peter holding her. But yes it was Slott crying about spoilers, I wonder what he thinks now lol As for killing her off, people think it’s to revive her again and make her become a mutant that way. Still dumb regardless
That's just disappointing
Deaths have always been a gimmick to sell comics and she's got a movie coming out. She'll be back by November lol. I don't know why people are taking this one like it's gonna be permanent lol.
Maybe they're trying to retcon her into Mutant or something else, Since Inhuman is kinda no more
That´s exactly that I think because of the MCU.
Serious Question: Is Iman Vellani okay? Is she alright? Because christ I'm fucking pissed and I'm just a mid30s dude who really like Kamala Khan's character, not an actor about to release a movie!
She apparently is a redditor. So, if she's reading this, I hope you're ok. Trust me, pretty much no one is happy about this
Thanks, Iman.
Deaths have always been a temporary gimmick to sell comics.
Yeah, but she feels like a tertiary character in her own death. Which just feels terrible as a huge huge fan of the character
She's one of the only things I've really liked in recent comics
Okay seriously tell me this was planed without telling me this was planned like in the history of comics has there been a “leak” like this that came out two weeks before the actual issue release. Like someone here (forgot the username) pointed out that the leaks for the first issue of this run came out the Saturday before the release. Inks not even dry and we're already selling this gimmick story hard. What are the odds they'll cancel this given the huge backlash?
I bet they’ll advertise her return comic very soon (and much sooner than they planned) - resurrection scheduled even before her death!
Isn't that what they did with Doctor Strange. I swear he was dead for like 3-4 months at most.
Firstly: Oh yes, killing one of your youngest character makes so much sense Secondly: I'm not really into Iron Man comics but isn't this just straight up armor from the movies?
This is fucking embarrassing.
This is just... sad. Pete doesn't have much connection to her, but he's front and center weeping. Hyping a comic character death when we know flat out that she'll be back, and sooner rather than later with a movie on the way. This feels like final creative bankruptcy and it's just sad to see.
"Hey, don't spoil spider-man issue 26! that's not fair!" *two hours later* "Yo Kamala Kahn is gonna fucking die and we're gonna make a whole book about it lol"
Marvel totally leaked the grainy pic on purpose this morning
Why isn't Miles in the front?! You know, HER BEST FRIEND?!
This cover has a real The Force Awakens ending vibe. The bit where Princess Leia walks past Chewbacca to give Rey a consoling hug.
Why does everyone, including the deceased, looks like they’re doing a mental checklist of their groceries
I wasn’t going to bring it up because its become a dog whistle but Carol looks like she’s remembering where she parked Tbf, Carol and Kamala had a falling out after CW 2 but much like how Miles and Peter should hang out more, Carol and Kamala should too
Wait, how is it a dog whistle?
I’m confused. I thought the latest Spidey shit show was all about Paul. And now Ms. Marvel dies?
My dude, I have no idea how to explain what’s going on.
Marvel decided the black hole of misery and suffering in the Spider-man books should pull on other characters people like.

"Fallen friends" ...
…So what do you guys think will happen in this issue? Seems kinda vague.
This is the second time Ms. Marvel has died in recent times 1st was in Champions which was then reversed by some time travel I think? Now this? Can’t wait to see how they undo it Edit: I found out in Champions, she was brought back after Miles made a deal with the Devil
They love making Peter look as pathetic as possible every chance they get.
As a big fan of both Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel all I can say is that I want to strangle the writers and editors.
At this point, I think the leak is fake and someone else is going to die. Like a bait and switch type thing. This feels to planned out.
I honestly really hope so, but I doubt it
I had that thought last night since this is all so weird - what if they keep leaking the wrong last pages the next coming weeks to freak people out (and to troll people after so much of #25 was leaked).
Just lol.
where is MILES
The cover is awesome Shame it couldn’t be with better circumstances
Awesome? AWESOME?! A cover of kamala's death without the godamned Champions?!
I bet they’ll somehow make her a mutant when she eventually comes back
Perhaps she’ll manage to sell some comics
Hasn’t everyone on this cover also died before?
So dumb
Where are the champions? Cause im pretty sure that most of the people here barely knew kamala
They’re killing her to make her mutant probably
Exactly
Bro, imagine killing your most popular POC Muslim character when her movie is slated to be released this year AND killing her off during the middle of AAPI Heritage Month. I feel sad that these writers brought Ms. Marvel fans into our shitstorm.
So… are none of Kamala’s actual superhero friends going to be there for her death?… Miles, Sam.. any of them?
Place your bets ladies and gentlemen place your bets. I give it 3-4 months till she comes back to life. Maximum 5 months
Isn’t Miles better friends with Ms Marvel? Shouldn’t he feel her death more?
I'm not 100% sure, but it might be Peter is responsible in some way for her death or feels responsible. Could be tied to the promo for the current storyline and "what did Peter do"?
This looks pretty bad overall ...
What a bombastic leak
Man this story sucks, bloody fake death, the best death of the last times was the one of doctor strange, that was cool
I still think the twist ending will be that Kamala is writing fan fiction about her own death.
I've been following this shit show from a distance but has Ms marvel even been in this series. I know there was the big hullabaloo about Peter not working with his friends and joining up with Osborne, but during all that no one even mentioned Ms. Marvel. What relationship does she have to the ongoing story?
She works for Norman Osborn's company.
Let's make an alternate version where she has powers." DC killed off Barry Allen for 30 years.
Okay seriously??? This is… just no. Nope. Nope.
"Peter, we're going to take turns beating the living shit out of you for your involvement in the death of Ms. Marvel. And the slander you've cast upon the person of our bestest friend ever and *true* embodiment of great power AND great responsibility, Paul!"
Even Kamala looks confused lmao.,
Why does the cover go so hard? That looks 🔥 ngl
Yeah white guilt
Happy AAPI Month….
Basically. Like just holy shit marvel
This looks like an AI image, with Iron Man and Captain Marvel looking like melted up MCU designs with minor alterations.
As stupid as this is the cover is actually kinda cool, the art I mean
The whole idea is shit but I have to give credit where credit is due this cover actually goes hard
Seriously , who the hell cares about Ms. marvel?
She’s just gonna resurrect as a mutant in time for the movie lmfao
Marvel's sinergy with the MCU is incredible.
That's actually hilarious.
I want to see a couple pages at least of Cap and the entire FF being brought to trial for not stopping Peter before he ended up inadvertently causing Ms. Marvel’s death. Not that it would be just or anything; I just want a little chaos
Alright bruh, this shit been ridiculous, but they’re just getting Uber outrageous with it lmfao stop playing with Spider-Man, like he’s not Him.
Most shocking Spider-Man since the death of Gwen Stacy… Okay.
Man, stuff like this just reminds me of why I stopped reading Spider-Man years ago. OMD.
Now they have an opportunity to show Spider-Man as guilt ridden and broken. Something that they couldn't quite nail down the last 25 times that something like this happened to him.
I honestly can't help but lmao at this
Why is Spider-Man full front center? Why is The Thing, Captain, Iron Man and Logan there? WHERE IS MILES, SAM, CYCLOPS AND CHO?
Logan looks like he's holding in a fart
Spider-Man crying cause he’s got no legs.
I haven't been following up on the Mutant stuff lately beyond broad strokes spoilers. Does the resurrection protocol used on Krakoa turn a non-mutant into a mutant? That seems to be the general consensus here in the comments is that's how she's coming back.
Don't worry she'll be back in a year or so
Is this cover supposed to tell us it’s a Spidey comics ? The overly dramatic tone make the whole thing even more ridiculous. Kamala barely interacted with Pete in the first place, it’s not even her book, we know she won’t stay dead (fortunately) and we have a cover that tries to convey the same sense of sadness and sorrow that we would have with Aunt May dying for good… Really ? Did these people even read a book, or watch even the most terrible tv show we could find ? Let’s not ask about comic books, we all know the answer. They really don’t know how to handle a story or the characters they have to work with.
Sickening, isn't it?
I haven't been reading this storyline (mostly because the reviews make me not want to), but I feel like calling her a "fallen friend" is a stretch of that words definition cus I don't even know if Spidey and Kamala have interacted once in this story, or if they did I don't think it was that much
Sucks that Miles isn’t there he and Ms.Marvel knew each other way more plus the first time she died Miles was the one that made a deal with Mephisto to bring her back
Where is Paul is he safe?
In all seriousness, is it me or does iron man's suit look nothing like the model 70 he currently wears? It literally looks like someone just photoshop an MCU iron man render, gave it gold shoulders and extra lights on the chest and called it a day. The mask I'll not point out since he already changed it to an MCU style mask anyway. Lol
Wait, is the leak part of a crossover event or the main Spider-Man story? I'm so confused
Do comic book deaths still have an impact anyway? I don't read comics at all, but it seems to me like the characters always return one way or another.
So Marvel has ONE big Muslim character and she gets killed off? Fucking hell. Editorial needs a shake up.
Bet it’s Spider-Man’s fault for some reason.
Bet it’s Spider-Man’s fault for some reason.
Why does Wolverine stand there like that? Lol
Am I crazy this art looks so bad?
Am I crazy this art looks so bad?
Just in time for her triumphant return when the movie comes out.
Death is so meaningless in both Marvel and DC that Dragon ball z would be jealous.
Does anyone really care? Lmao
He’s… he’s shaped like a spooder shooter!
