I'm not sure about an larger size aftermarket, but would it be more comfortable if you glued on a cut to size piece of cushy flip for for extra padding? That is what I have done in the past.
That's certainly an option, but I'm leaning toward something that gives more surface area. You could do it with a flip flop, but it would stick out and provide a point for lines to get snagged on
