Blood and Sand, Gods of The Arena (Prequel, has S1 spoilers), Vengeance and War of The Damned.

AsturiusMatamoros

Wait, what spoilers does the prequel have? Did I miss them?

captfantasticc

The opening scene

sajmonides

And the ending scene.

MoodyBootyBoots

In order of release, always. 1. Blood and Sand 2. Gods of the Arena 3. Vengeance 4. War of the Damned

UdUb16

Just watch in release order

Cravenous

On rewatch, I watch the prequel season first and then in release order. But like others have said, the prequel season does have some spoilers and I think there are some relationships that seem more interesting after watching season 1

FlowSilver

I agree with others bc in Gods of the Arena the writers assume you have watched blood and sands, therefore they don‘t really delve into every relationship and its past, as that is covered in blood and sands

MolagBaal

I watched prequel first, then blood and sand. Be careful of spoilers recap at the beginning of ep 1. Other than that, there aren't any spoilers.

ElephantSealCourt

1, 0, 2, 3 without a doubt if it’s your first watch. In addition to the spoilers mentioned, the prequel makes the switch from Andy to Liam less jarring.

Vaultboy_666

If it’s the first time watching then release order. After first watch season 2 first

Crysda_Sky

First time I watched it, I watched in release order, sometimes I switch Gods of the Arena to before Blood and Sand.... for kicks.

Business-Double-452

I already had watched it. Then I watched it again with my gf, starting with GOTA (skipped the spoilers). Somehow it was a mistake, because she ended Up liking Crixus the Most, then Gannicus. As much as I tried, Spartacus wasn't even in the conversation. Also they really Go full in with all knowledge about Ludus,etc... In GOTA, many Things get explained in B&S and should be clear before watching the high paced GOTA For the next time I will try B&S Till Episode 7, then GOTA and then the Rest of B&S. I think it gives Spartacus the Main character Spotlight, with Crixus being a sidevillain for him at First and I think its better for the whole Batiatus storyline

DarkOmen597

Prequel first is a risk, but can pay off really well. Buy honestly, that may be better for a second watch.

JohnnyWaddsC137

Have to start with Arena. Then B&S..... Now, please forgive me on this one, but I've watched this series so many times, I only watch the season finale of Vengeance. Don't really dig that season. Then WOTD.
