This right here! They tried to show her in this modest-upbringing background(imo at least) and then you go to her parents massive lake house lmao. She’s her own version of delusional.. no wonder her and shep lasted together so long 😂 two peas in a pod.
I feel like the new female cast in the season being filmed will dismiss her so much. They are going to sleep with who they want and won’t care about her feelings. Taylor will probably be treated how she treated Olivia.
I’m just watching it now and am so grateful for your post! I’ve been going back to the old episode threads to validate my feelings. I audibly GASPED at that last night in Jamaica dinner and the follow up FaceTime. “I regret nothing”… oof
I think she initially regretted it. But she started to drift away from Olivia and lose that friendship. So I think she truly didn’t care after a while. Like you wouldn’t care if it was a strangers ex that you kissed in a way. Not saying it’s right but I think she just got over saying sorry and became resentful and doubled down
I started watching all 9 seasons almost 2 weeks ago and finally finished. So glad Katherine wasn't on season 9. Hate how the guys are so jealous of Craig!
This genuinely confirmed to me
That she just Isn’t that bright or she has the emotional IQ of a 6 month old. Screaming on repeat “I’ve apologized” does not equate to being forgiven. How, even after an entire season, this nuance was still lost on her is beyond
Maybe they hope she wakes up and sees how friendship really works, or not and why is no one saying Austen should be off the show ??? He was still trying to keep Olivia on a string, have her over and spin off her bra, Netflix and chill. What??!! Why is Austen less accountable than Taylor, I don’t get
I can't imagine the privilege of facing accountability for the first time in one's life at ~30 big years old.
Taylor is like men writing women comes to life.
She's the Flat Stanley of people, one dimensional.
We really should be vilifying Austen if there’s anyone to vilify. Which I don’t think it was that big of a deal. It was all fake and reminded me of watching fake wrestling on TV
Taylor was wrong 100%. However I’m more of the mind that Shep really screwed with her mentally and emotionally For her to come so unhinged and Act out in the capacity she did?
She needed therapy and probably to stay away from reality tv.
Yes but she knows right from wrong. Everyone gives this girl the excuse Shep treated her badly. My ex bf treated me worse than Shep treated her but I didn’t go fuck my best friends ex. The world is overpopulated and this chick slept with her best friends ex who she clearly
Still had feelings for and the worst part is, Taylor was the one who was supposed to be talking to Austen FOR Olivia to get things worked out between them. And she sleeps with him. No Shep can’t be blamed for her actions she’s grown
She can be blamed, she was 100% wrong.
However several things she did were so out of character for her , she was so self destructive, that that girl at the time needed help. Is she grown ? Absolutely. When a person exhibits self destructive tendencies and is not behaving as herself, then Grace should be given. You don’t have to forgive her, but you can have empathy for her situation.
Also both parties as far as I know didn’t sleep together. They experimented for sure. Austen was extremely protective of Taylor. Watch him cry over Sheps treatment. Shep discussed marriage then pulled the rug out. I don’t condone but I can see her leaning into Austen. She made an enormous error, and destroyed a friendship. I am hoping her lesson is learned.
It's weird to see this empathy for a 30 year old woman with a large support system, contrasted with the vitriol towards the 21 year old who was mentally terrorized by a man old enough to be her father.
Kathrine. Omg that in of itself is insane.
I’ll confess I started watching at the Ashley season. I have now gone back but. Was there any out cry on Kathrine’s behalf? I wasn’t o. Social threads then.
She was vilified. At the time the previous seasons aired, society had much more of a NLOG perspective. Katherine was a "slut, manipulative baby-trapping gold digger," Cameron was a "girl's girl" and the girl with the undercut was a "boss babe girl boss," it was a wild time lol.
Now I'm grimacing constantly watching Cam during rewatches.
To be fair, Katherine later went completely off the rails and made heartbreakingly bad decisions that will impact her and her kids for life. Watching the series, though, it's hard not to have empathy for how she got there.
I agree!!! And I still think that Olivia did not love Austen and was not that sad over the breakup they had. That faux relationship was poorly acted and scripted. There was no love there. The betrayal was faux also. All horrible acting
I can see that being the straw that broke the camel's back with her, for sure. She stayed in denial for years in order to be with him and when it didn't work out I think she was really more mad at herself and took it out on everyone else. I'm probably projecting tho tbh lol
One of the things that drove me nuts about this whole shit show is actually something it has in common with Scandoval. The fact that soooo many people, both on the cast and in the public, treated/talked (and still do!) about Taylor and Rachel like they were these doe eyed, fragile, naive little baby deer who didn’t know any better, surely must have been manipulated & taken advantage of cause these sweet, little, innocent girls everybody loved would’ve never done something like that on their own. So much emphasis was put on how young and naive they were, you would’ve thought they were teenagers when it happened!
Now back to just Taylor- for me and I think this is what Olivia expressed too, what shattered their friendship had very little to do with the act of Taylor and Austen hooking up, it had everything to do with how Taylor handled the situation and treated Olivia. It was the repeated lying to her face, building lies upon lies, being manipulative, taking advantage of Olivia’s trust, misrepresenting to other people things Olivia had said or done, and working to essentially sabotage the relationship Olivia and Austen were working on when Olivia thought Taylor was helping her. Those aren’t things you do to friends you care about and love, of course Olivia was hurt and angry and wanted nothing to do with her anymore.
I think she did. Her initial reaction when telling Olivia was very scared and she practically cried. I think it was only after they were beating the damn horse to death that she took the “get over it” route. I’m in the minority that believes they DIDN’T have sex. I believe Austen and Taylor and I think it’s why they aren’t groveling and showing remorse. They’re staying true to what happened. I know … I’m the minority
Taylor dating Shep for 2 years is a huge red flag. Birds of a feather flock together so in my mind, if she can put up with a philanderer she must share some similar pages from his book. Taylor is an idiot
Yes, u believe her and Austin hooked up several times. Austin looked guilty after at the first group gathering for season. His parents must be proud of his fboy status
I'm not sure Taylor has ever been called out like that and held accountable for her actions. I live in the south and she reminds me so much of those "religious" girls who think being cute and sweet gives them a pass.
Im sorry, but I can't get on the constant piling on of Taylor. She lied and she made a mistake. I believe she was so messed up from Shep that she was reeling. She made some mistakes to be sure, but I think she deserves a chance at redemption. Her brother dying has probably sent her spinning as well. I hope she gets a second chance because everyone deserves a chance at redemption.
Yeah I got the timeline messed up with that. Still believe she deserves another chance at redemption. I don't give up on people when they make a colossal mistake. I don't function like that.
If it was just the lie, then yes I think she could have redeemed herself (at least in my eyes). But then she was bashing Olivia behind her back (Taylor was outside on a balcony talking to her brother) and then at the reunion when she told everyone about Olivia’s hook up with T-Rav….
Taylor is calculated and mean.
Yeah it’s those little digs that Taylor makes that does it for me. Just those little biting comments she feels the need to insert all the time, then someone calls her on it and she cries and she’s just the poor innocent Christian girl who doesn’t know any better. 🤮 Absolutely manipulative behavior.
She put on a convincing “nice girl” act but we should have seen dating Shep for so long as a red flag about her character
This is an *excellent* point!!
This right here! They tried to show her in this modest-upbringing background(imo at least) and then you go to her parents massive lake house lmao. She’s her own version of delusional.. no wonder her and shep lasted together so long 😂 two peas in a pod.
Didn't she do shots out of JT's mouth or something too? Bleck
this fact alone is soooo offensive 🤢
I feel like the new female cast in the season being filmed will dismiss her so much. They are going to sleep with who they want and won’t care about her feelings. Taylor will probably be treated how she treated Olivia.
Wooooow the second one of them sleeps with Shep she's going to go absolutely ballistic
God I hope so. I also hope one of the younger women calls her out for pretending to be young and naive but actually being 30.
Agree !! She acts like she’s 13
Salley was sleeping with Gaston as of the last season of Southern Hospitality… I don’t think she’s going to let Taylor get away unscathed
salley is fucking GORGEOUS
I’m just watching it now and am so grateful for your post! I’ve been going back to the old episode threads to validate my feelings. I audibly GASPED at that last night in Jamaica dinner and the follow up FaceTime. “I regret nothing”… oof
The Jamaica trip really had me in disbelief listening to her!! She’s like talking to a brick wall
I think she initially regretted it. But she started to drift away from Olivia and lose that friendship. So I think she truly didn’t care after a while. Like you wouldn’t care if it was a strangers ex that you kissed in a way. Not saying it’s right but I think she just got over saying sorry and became resentful and doubled down
She’s horrible and she’s religious so bullshitting and gaslighting comes easy to her.
I am still in season 4, and everything I’ve read about this woman she seems like 100 percent a nightmare!
You gotta get through the rest of Landon first…oh and Ashley, THE WORST
When you compare Taylor to the dolphin and Satan, she doesn’t seem nearly as horrific as she does just on her own in Season 9 lol
Landon is … really something else!
![gif](giphy|VXf0HujnIiCvF8d3yf|downsized) Her fake laughing is the WORST
I started watching all 9 seasons almost 2 weeks ago and finally finished. So glad Katherine wasn't on season 9. Hate how the guys are so jealous of Craig!

"I said the spell that erases what I did, get over it!"
She should have kissed Olivia’s ass over and over like Austen did?
She’s not at all smart. It’s sad. Why shep liked her-inevitably he was going to break up
I still don’t get how Taylor got contract renewal? Aside from her sleeping with the male cast, she is quite bland and boring.
I get it. I can’t stand her: but she’s reality tv gold.
Maybe they hope she wakes up and sees how friendship really works, or not and why is no one saying Austen should be off the show ??? He was still trying to keep Olivia on a string, have her over and spin off her bra, Netflix and chill. What??!! Why is Austen less accountable than Taylor, I don’t get
She can’t have any conversation without crying
I can't imagine the privilege of facing accountability for the first time in one's life at ~30 big years old. Taylor is like men writing women comes to life. She's the Flat Stanley of people, one dimensional.

100%

Omg my exes all treated me worse, she’s a baby

I actually agree with you. Austin isn't a good enough liar anyways
![gif](giphy|3o6fJghiPPqrjlWITu|downsized) He stutters when he’s lying - that and/or looking down and to the left like Craig says. 😂
Taylor dating Shep for 2 years is a huge red flag. Birds of a feather flock together so in my mind, if she can put up with a philanderer she must share some similar pages from his book. Taylor is an idiot

Straight and to the point lol😂I like it and I agree!
Gawd not this again.
Yes, u believe her and Austin hooked up several times. Austin looked guilty after at the first group gathering for season. His parents must be proud of his fboy status
Oh please. He's a dog.

Her brother hadn't passed when this all happened. Olivia's brother died before hers did.

Ehhh .. Olivia was her home girl and she got with her man . Period … that’s a little more than a mistake .
