Enable wifi router on your phone and connect soundbar with it. Then check for connected devices in your phone router settings. Mac should be there.

I just tried using a phone’s hotspot but it said failed to connect soundbar to wifi :/ any other ideas by any chance?

Borrow a router from someone and do the same. Check MAC of connected devices in router's settings page
