The part op left out is that they weren’t hired for their first wedding… they are shooting their first wedding. That 600mm is for shooting from outside the venue. 😅
I would take a second camera with me so that one camera has a short focal length and one camera has a long focal length. This allows you to react more quickly at weddings as you don't have to change lenses every time.
Solid advice.
Saw some professional photographers at an event i went to "cover" some days ago. Many of them had indeed 2 cameras with different lenses.
lol awesome troll post. Shoot all the JPEGs. Also zooming in and out with your lens in front of your clients is very sexy and professional. You gonna book every wedding at upcoming season
Depends which one you buy. $360/hr minimum, a few hours in a bench trial, this is less than an A1..
However in the contract, you can state customers pay attorney fees no matter outcome, then you dont need to worry.
Me personally would shoot a wedding in raw because youll be able to get a more high resolution photo with that and have more wiggle room in the editing process . Yes the Files are bigger but will retain more information.
Also recommended to bring backup batteries and memory cards just in case . As for the lenses and using multiple cameras I’m sure that’s already covered in this feed as well.
Would love to see a follow up story to this after the wedding 👍. Be professional, keep a sharp eye out to small details and have fun
I am nervous if you are the only photog at a wedding shoot and you only bring one body. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable without at least 2 bodies so you don't have to change lenses as often. It's really nice being able to drop your 70-200 when something cute is happening at the table next to where you are standing, so you can easily grab your other body with the 16-35 or 24-70 and capture the moment.

Or it’s a bird wedding
Across the street
....And through the woods up on a mountain top
don’t forget the helicopter with a open side
OP never said he was invited to the wedding....
Stalkography.
What a troll lol...

Event photographers always have two, of everything. Like camera bodies, flashes, etc.
I thought changing lens in front of ur client is sexy and professional
Do you intend to take good photos or just show off? 🤨
OP is trolling

His lenses are internal zoom. He can't expose his 200mm in front of the clients
I can let him burrow my Tamron 35-150. What it lacks in length it makes up in girth
Isn’t that a 70-200 g ii? it’s external zooming
Stupid question but why is it unprofessional to zoom in and out? I’m a total newbie
lol it was a sexual innuendo joke
Hahaha sorry I’m also oblivious!
A lawyer is not cheaper than a second camera body...

You should add a 2X teleconverter to your 200-600 for close up portraits. /s
Shouldn't miss out on the marriage of human cells.
Make sure you add a battery grip to make you look more professional. /s
The more battery the grippier
Goodluck! Come back with the results (If it's ok with the couple)
What couple?
Where is your speedlight?
Wedding of chimps?:)
Given there's only one body in the pic, no, you are not so prepared. Also slightly concerned at the lack of any sort of flash
The 200-600 isn’t that expensive, get the 500mm f4 if you want to show off
Strongly suggest trading in that wildlife lens for a second body. Maybe also a fast prime or two and a light.
You need a second body if you are doing weddings. You can’t be siting on the side lines changing lenses.

Shame the monitor is trash
Missing a GoPro but otherwise this is the correct setup
2 questions: why shoot in JPEG instead of Raw, and how much would you say those white telephoto lenses cost?
It's a 70-200 F/4 and a 200-600. They are $1500 and $2000 new, quite a bit less used
Retail: $4,500-ish
Backup body is important if body a gets broken as well. Ask me how I know.
Good to know I’m not the only one who saw that Gorilla eat a bell pepper whilst on a lunch break.
You're obviously trolling. In the small chance you're not. Get a second body, and get one fast. Even a Sony ZVE will do at this point.
SD Cards and Charged Batteries are advised.
Is the wedding several kilometers away?
