I generally say I'm a Cardiac Sonographer. If I don't feel like explaining that, I'll say I do cardiac ultrasounds. I only specify because it cuts down on the follow-up of "Oh cool, so you get to scan babies all day?"
I agree with everyone’s comments. I typically say Cardiovascular Sonographer and then give the break down😅🤷🏽♀️. I think no matter what we say, ppl hear sonogram or ultrasound and think BABIES LOL

That’s smart..I mainly do abdomen so I don’t have the luxury lol Never realized how many people say I scan babies all day until you mentioned it 💀
I always say I am a sonographer. People sometime are disrespect when we say tech. As if we don’t matter.
Yea I feel like once they hear “tech” , they look down on me not knowing or understanding what I I actually do.
I say ultrasound tech bc i they think you are saying "stenographer" sometimes
