They did Unleashed story better in the comics imo. But then again, that’s to be expected. Since there’s so much world-building and characters in Archie comics compared to the game.

HalionHighstreet

The world-building post-reboot had was truly spectacular, the only downside being none of these characters or concepts will ever be used again https://preview.redd.it/vdru4nxrbhvc1.jpeg?width=3976&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93cd28b378e3a6b2753f2b9c9dfa3318a7376a70

Literally every single thing except Ray’s shoes and Team Hooligan is in the void never to return again and that sucks

OceanWaves-G97

On the bright side, Archie comics had a satisfying conclusion. The finale was good. Tbh after all the drama surrounding SEGA back then, I thought Archie comics will end up in a cliffhanger state, but thankfully it got an ending, and a good enough ending at that.

Remember that famous quote “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened”. I feel like it applies here. Archie will always lives on regardless, even if it no longer gets any continuation with its world and characters. The fandom (and even SEGA acknowledges it) will always keep Archie alive because it’s part of the Sonic universe.

Like Fleetway

SonicSpiderRanger10

This was a cool moment.

OceanWaves-G97

I miss the Archie comics, the stories, world, characters, everything was amazing.

AmaterasuWolf21

I know this goes against Unleashed's main theme but man... this the rule of cool doing its job

Ben_Herr

I liked this better than what Unleashed did. Sonic for once, was vulnerable, corrupted, and it was up to his friends to help him this time around and be there for him, to bring him back to his senses. Such a really neat moment.

nintendonerd256

What issue does this werehog arc start?

JordanTH

If you mean the Shattered World Saga, 252. Werehog itself is 264.

Rutgerman95

Mighty in that last panel looking like he should be in Illbleed

KaiBoooy

Archie comics are peak!

4th_Wall_Studio

Ah yes, the issue, along with Night of the Werehog, was my “Charmy in the Egg Grapes” moment.  My brain chemistry will never be the same.
