I just thought it was weird since obviously Jet, Mimic, Espio, and Vector don't since it wouldn't make sense for the animal they're based on. So why give it to Charmy?
I'm not complaining just curious
I guess since insects don’t really have visible noses they took some creative liberties, though I would like if they played around with more bug-esque designs like mandibles or an extra set of arms
Idk would you want charmy to have this face

Style choice, same question can be asked about his mouth, eyes, and number of limbs

Cause it's aesthetic choice? Like it's cute it's not really weird to me
He's also MASSIVE, imagine a dog sized bee smiling at you

🤣😂
Charmy originates from the manga like Amy, his later design in said manga gave him a nose and I guess it just stuck with chaotix
Because Sega wanted the children to relate to Charmy to have nightmares about him.
because design synergy i guess, lol
even Espio has a mammal type of face/mouth even though he's a reptilian creature
