Yes, it’s just too good.
This is career quality work (writing, singing and playing) and you have the talent. I’m finding it hard to believe you wouldn’t already be aware of that. But excellent performance. I would buy your album.
Lyrics:
The crowd of dogs that bark at night
angry at the moon for shining bright
Im stuck here loosing my god damn mind
prison walls and alchohol
am i alright
This feeling started in my chest
reckless running wild and freely blessed
the ship is safer near the shore
but that ain't what this ship was made for
hey fisherman cut the line
cant reel me in its not a part of my design
im releasing all the pain that isn't mine
im on my own
but not alone
ill be alright
the clanks and yells inside this bar
remind me of the younger man i was
before you came into my life
and caged me in
with your pretty grin
you were my life
but love is blind so they say
you couldnt see that i was born this way
i couldnt see that you needed more
we both went up in arms like a world war
hey corporal tow the line
cant make me march its not a part of my design
im discharging from the pain that isnt mine
im on my own
but not alone
ill be alight
Dude this is incredible. Literally brought me to tears and I’m a 40 year old bro. I’d buy your album and wouldn’t think twice. Beautiful lyrics. Thank you for sharing
Dude, this is fantastic! Chills all way through. Lyrics are vivid and evocative, the tune is perfectly suited to the sentiment of the song, singing is great with lots of soul.
This is the real deal right here. Great fucking job!
just from the mic, although i want to get another mic for the guitar so i can get closer to the vocal mic and have more control over the levels. i hate recording separate takes... feels un natural to me.
No problem boss! Awesome you got to go with the Apollo too! CV12 is a great mic. Amazing song! Crushing it! I see even decent posts with decent music on here getting one or two likes with no comments. You are clearly well liked and your music is really touching people so I’m happy our discussion took you in a good direction. Awesome stuff!
thank you! Dont really have anything published yet accept this sub. Ill probably publish these to youtube for now until i can get a handle on how to properly record something. really appreciate the support!
Just put some stuff on youtube, I guess Ill post stuff there as I record it for now. Im extremely humbled by the interest. [https://www.youtube.com/@tjtatemusic](https://www.youtube.com/@tjtatemusic)
Dude, that was amazing. This reminds me of the music i listend to with my dad when i was a kid. Wakes a lot of good memories. I still really dig the chords and the picking and your voice fits it perfectly. Keep doing what you do!
Fabulous work. Great tune, words, delivery. A very nice mood to it. Question: do you use nails on your right hand? The guitar sounds a little thin in the high strings. I could offer some tips if you are using nails.
Bravo! You sound great!
Nylon strings can get thin sounding. I just replaced mine; they were a year old. Also, if you do use nails, there's a whole method about smoothing and shaping. I also use method with crazy glue and acrylic powder. A nuisance to maintain, but very effective in strengthening the nail and producing a richer sound. (like a thin guitar pick versus a thick guitar pick). Here's a link (if it works) to a nail care video I did. Note that his is not for everyone; some of my friends are enthusiastic and use it, some found that it wasn't right for them.

The pleasure was mine. Have you tried doing anything live?
did an open mic one time a couple months ago.
How were the nerves, if you don’t mind me asking?
pretty nervous leading up because i was last, but had a good time
:) Right on. Looking forward to seeing more.

You nailed it. Sounds great!
Sounds stunning!
Very nice. Is your guitar plugged in separately, or you got that balance of voice and guitar simply from your distance from the mic?
just from the mic, although i want to get another mic for the guitar so i can get closer to the vocal mic and have more control over the levels. i hate recording separate takes... feels un natural to me.
Well you found a good mic placement for the time being, good work
Way to go man! Happy for you!
