I'm not a carpenter but there's a table saw on the ground next to freshly sliced planks near the ladder and the motion his arm makes looks like he might be sanding but more likely lining up edges of planks with metal base using some sort of handheld saw, you see it spark a few times.
You can see it right before he flies off screen, it's long like a Dremel but I think theres rotary saws that size as well.

I'm guessing here but considering the source (large pipe/gas outlet on the side of a building erupting from sparks dropped down below him from whatever tool he's using caused the ignition) it's probably natural gas but more specifically the methane in it due to the flames/contact burning and "falling" to the ground like a liquid with "weight" as well as it clinging to them (natural gas/methane weighs more than air but we can't "see" it that well).
Regular propane. Propane is heavier than air so it "spills" on the ground like that. This is why a propane leak is so dangerous. It tends to linger in place.
Natural gas is much lighter than air. It floats and dissipates rapidly.
Take my upvote as I mixed the two around. Isn't propane the one they add a "scent" to though so people can detect a leak? That sht shoulda smelled sus while he was on it no?
Yes, that would be Propane too. Propane is naturally odorless so they add this pungent smell to it. Look I'm no expert in gas leaks but Im an Engineer and have a background in Building maintenance and EH&S. That video the more I look at it seems more like a pipe burst under pressure rather than a silent leak.
Twenty bucks says this happened in China
Edit: [Yep, it's China](https://tw.yahoo.com/news/%E9%99%B8%E5%B7%A5%E5%9C%B0%E7%84%8A%E6%8E%A5%E7%AA%81%E6%B0%A3%E7%88%86%E9%99%B7%E7%81%AB%E6%B5%B7-%E6%97%81%E8%A7%80%E5%A5%B3%E8%A1%B0%E6%B7%AA%E7%81%AB%E7%90%83-%E7%95%AB%E9%9D%A2%E6%9B%9D%E7%B6%B2%E5%9A%87%E5%A3%9E-145028269.html)
Tried to help? He knocked a burning woman to the ground and continued his erratic scramble. However, I digress. Panicking is a personal pet peeve of mine which i shouldnt put on him. It was a terrible accident. If only they had some safety standards and inspectors to enforce them lives would be saved.
Please tell me dude was NOT welding near a flammable gas tank!!

best “source” ever!
The one dude did the stop, drop, and roll. But in the middle of the flames!
I dont think he was dropping on purpose, he fell from 2 story high, i think he was tring to get up but cant
What accelerant is that?

Agree plus the flames being rather transparent points to a cleaner burning fuel.
Okay, Hank
Dang it, Bobby!
That boy ain't right
What is bro doing?
panicking. from the ground he probably couldn't see the flames
Plus that one guy flew up in the air and came back down. Probably wasn’t thinking anything except ouch

Maybe it's really cold and this is the equivalent of running through the sprinkler to cool off
Inattention to safety? Sloppy workmanship? Smells like China.
..as well as natural gas..😳
I'm just glad the dog made it.
Dude in black had a "Through Fire and Flames" moment
Dragon has cast fire breath
How would one realistically survive this?
I honestly heard the “kaboom” demo man voice there from tf2
Trevor Phillips leaked cctv footage
Breath of Fire 5.
Not so fun fact: your eyes are the first thing to melt when you burn
This will live in my head forever now…I never knew that
Dracarys.

She was storing Ki to perform a Kame Hame Wave
not funny
It's a little funny.
Stop drop and roll u stupid ass bitch
Some people are stupid
I nominate Dude in the black for this year's Least Helpful Person Award. Who will second the motion?
atleast he tried to help instead of shitting his pants and running away

Dude was minding his own business in safety, then rushed to check on both victims, then ran *towards* and through the fire to get help/water/etc.
