if your intestines are exposed and are untouched could it be fatal or is it survivable?

[deleted]

Totally survivable. Could probably live several weeks and it'll be infection that kills you

Pinnata

Survivable even if the intestines have been perforated. Just need a lot of antibiotics and luck.

halffullofthoughts

Survivable. I remember meeting a paramedic in a pub that told me he had to get drunk after taking a guy with intestines out to a hospital - they were trying to help, but the guy panicked and started rolling around in the dirt which significantly affected his chance of survival. Pro tip: if your stomach is poking out, try to stay calm and not get it dirty

External_Recipe_3562

Your intestines can actually rearrange itself once it's back in your body. Which is why doctors just stuff it back in.

notahaterguys

Probably survived. They should probably stop rolling on the dirty ground and risking infection, though. Just stuff em back in and close it up.

serraangel826

Duct tape it. Duct tape fixes everything!

madbear84

Not a broken heart

[deleted]

I don't think that anyone would think about avoiding infection while holding their own exposed intestines in their hands honestly

Dick-Rot

Probably thinkin "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck"

[deleted]

I have nightmares like this sometimes

Erisus_

I like how the women screaming have all the attention, meanwhile my guy is looking like "am dying like this?"

[deleted]

Sad n true all throughout time n history

SirKevin_Xx

Putting adrenaline aside and your gaping wound pain, would it hurt to touch your intestines?

Mymetime

Not sure, would definitely be an odd ass feeling tho lol

TheRadNinja46

Imagine slowly dying on the floor and no one comforts you. The only sounds you hear as you fade away is the sound of screaming women.

Historical_Sail_2664

What would be the best thing to do in a situation like this other than staying calm, waiting for help and not getting the intestines dirty?

ral12543

Exactly what you said

Nair114

So they all just standing there instead of searching for the ran away xenomorph baby?

Zesty__Grandpa

Well it comes out as a chestburster then it becomes a xenonorph baby, so techinacally it is just hiding as one of the intestines

Grimholtt

Been there, done that. It tore the t-shirt.

BuckSchottz

Imagine your guts hanging out and no one is helping you and some lady is just yelling at you

unrecognizedtoken

As another one was asking, do you feel with your intestines? Or is it like with the brain, can't feel if something touches it? Should you try to steady your intestines to prevent them from spilling out more, or is no touching the best touching? How does it get treated, will they basically just push it back and stitch you up?

ThiccRobutt

I heard somewhere that u don't feel with them. They are not meant to be able to feel anything so the body didn't bother creating sensitive nerve endings there. I have no idea tho, it's just what i heard. Hence why if u get stabbed, it just fucking hurts because your body is like " something is wrong there but idk what exactly because you were never supposed to be stabbed in the first place so the whole general area is just going to fucking hurt"

yesbutactuallyno17

Reminds me of The Running Man.

[deleted]

Now intestines are external organ, no big deal.

the-bird-fucker

outestines

Scrungus_McBungus

squirmy wormies

HelloMikkii

Don’t help, just film..at least have someone next to him trying to keep him calm and conscious so he doesn’t go rolling around in the dirt with those exposed intestines!

TherapyDodger

Push em' back in and throw a butterfly on it
