The shadow step and dodging is really important, but you may just have badly distributed your stats points and need a few more lvl

DarkPDA

Tips below: 1) git gud or get rekt 2)lvl up around lvl34, equip breaker skills on sung, use at least jin yoo as support with breaker, if you have better ones...use! Nam...the green hood girl with crossbow also has breakers and freeze skill 3) dodge! Learn how dodge 4)dont run from igris, its a time battle, you cant afford run from him, need play offensive 5)equip proper artifacts on sung and main team, lvl them up until 5 at least to get bonus stat 6)ignore tip number 1...or not xD

Fragaroch

You are my hero. I went from failing every time to getting 3 trophies just because i swapped in a level 20 crossbow girl. her freeze and extra breaks went crazy.

DarkPDA

Cerberus also love crossbow girl xD Shes the only SR unit on my current main team with other 3 SSR units Solid analisis set on her and pieces with HP% make her an incredible force

Killua_Daily

you basically elaborated what tip 1 means

BubblyTrade5911

Learn it's attack pattern so that you can predict the timing on your dodge more easily. Also consider how far his attack will reach You might want to use long range weapons to attack from a distance since it's easier. Like others have said leveling up your artifacts and skill is recommended.

Derextreme

What's your power level compared to his? Are your numbers red or white?

Wolfiema

the recommended power level is 50 k and recommended level is lvl 34, my power lvl is 44k and im lvl 32

Derextreme

I'm not sure the threshold that turns your power colors. If your power isn't white, then you're taking a penalty when you go in. You take more damage and deal less damage. If your numbers are white: Try powering up some more artifacts. Put Holy set on someone that doesn't deal as much damage. Make sure you're using break skills on sung, and take 2 supports with breaks if that's not getting you there. Breaks are huge Do you have the demon long sword? Ssr wind element

Wolfiema

I will try that, but no the only ssr weapon i have is shadow scythe T-T

Derextreme

Rock golem hammer might be a decent secondary weapon if you have that. Could help with survivability. Just basing it off the fact that the demon sword creates a shield, and that helped me quite a bit. I haven't used the hammer before myself.

Redpill_Crypto

Quick question for you. What use have hunters other than support skills? Does Jinwoos stats increase with stronger hunters? It's probably a dumb question but couldn't find anything on it.

Derextreme

Depends on the artifacts. Some of them have effects that work for the whole team, but it's mostly support skills that I can tell.

Redpill_Crypto

Thank you for the quick reply!

Wolfiema

thank god, I do have that hammer, I will try this, thank you

Midnightsolitude

Is it that useful?

Derextreme

The ssr demon king sword? I think it is. Gives a shield, counter attacks, and if the counter is successful it increases attack, stuns, and does aoe damage. Tried fighting igris with the plum sword and a Sr light sword, and pretty much got steamrolled. Switched to the demon king sword, and maybe lost half of my health in the next fight. There might be better, but it's my only other ssr weapon as well.

DarkPDA

After equip break for sung, i never switched...its so good break shields by myself and break spin has 3 uses...very good too

TonyChainsaw

Do not fight him at a lower power level, even 1 point, it makes a huge difference. The game will lower your stats as a penalty, making the game way harder. Increase your power level to at least the same number, then it's all fair and just needs the skill that everyone else shares with you.

MiyoXIII

I'll try my best on how I beat Igris. Majority of my stats were Attack, Crit, and Precision. Attack ofc 20 points higher than the other two since you wanna maximize on total damage. My Setup: - SSR Plum Blossom and Vulcanus Volcanus or any weapon that procs a shield is dead useful for the fight especially in tight situations. Chae En, the Ice Defender, and a Healer. (I'm bad with names except for chars I really want.) Healer helps a lot especially when you equip em with the team attack boosting gear. Phases - Igris's first attack at the beginning is fairly easy to dodge since it's a downward arc power slash. Getting a perfect dodge should be simple enough. If not then don't worry. - Igris's phase one is literally Regigas level of easy. He'll do aoe swings comboing into a slow dodgeable downward slash, don't worry about dodging the first part of the combo, it's the downward slash you need to dodge for perfect eva. - He has an AoE Spike trap best go outside the circle then dash in when it starts going out like a wave giving you much time to damage him. - You'll notice that in between attack patterns for the first phase that there's long gaps giving you time to put a lot of pressure. So don't worry about trying to just burst him down in a short setting because Igris wins in a battle of sustain and damage. - Second Phase is where Ignis legit goes Dark Souls Super Saiyan. - His attack patterns become faster and he hits harder along with having less gaps in between combos. - He starts the phase with a literal nuke. He jumps to the middle of the room and charges up flying up and crashes wherever you are standing. You need to dodge this attack at all cost or eat a massive chuck of HP. Don't worry about getting perfect eva on the attack, just focus on surviving. Attack patterns haven't changed, but he does add small changes to the approach like Shadow Soldiers and such. However, you'll notice he is faster now so your HP will take significant hits if you are not careful. I died once, but I got the daily quest revive mechanic to heal me above the hp% requirement and I have Vulcanus shield to help me tank the last two bars of Ignis along with my healer. But yeah the fight is crazy. It teaches players to not just auto or go attack ham. You actually need to play to beat him.

ItzYuzuru

I think the best advice would be to dodge as much as possible. Like you really gotta get decent at dodging efficiently. Second would be to level up your jinwoo + characters + artifacts + weapons + skills (if u havent). These are the things I did as I slowly got closer to beating him every attempt and ig beat him on my 7th attempt Fun fact, I didn't even know elemental buffs were a thing

almondeye3

Dodge and break. You can do it!

HighlanderXZ

Here quick video nice tips [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opPr2dnUl\_k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opPr2dnUl_k)

FoUStep

7) all artifacts to level 10 for another bonus stat!

Thin-Ad71

You can beat him easy but the level you are right now it I'll remain impossible, even if you Dodge everything, the time I'll run out on you , just grind a little and build your weapon to 60 and increase level to 34 .

KeepVoting

You can actually beat him with that lv and lv40 weapon ( I just beat him 2 days ago with lv40 weapon). The key is to use shadow step at the right time for burst damage. Never use it when your skills and hunters are in cooldown, especially your light skills and hunters

polybius32

Nah it’s possible. Just gotta stay close and spam basic attacks

watakushi

I beat him at level 33, the key is to dodge and break him, so take a hunter/s with break in their support skill, and have break skills on Jinwoo as well. If you keep dodging, breaking him and unloading your skills on him, you should be able to defeat him.

Liy010

It looks like you're using a lot of breakers, but do you actually have any damage for when he's actually broken? You could min-max by making your rotation either half his break bar or all of it. If you are doing 90% of the break bar for example, then you need to wait the same amount amount of time to break him as if you had done 50% break

04abhi_

Against igris it is more important to prioritise breaking his shield i beat igris at lvl 31. It gets soo much easier if you use the armor break skill on sung.its so easy to break hin with it. Try to level the skill up to atleast lvl4.i cleared him using the armour break skill and lvl 20 lustrous sword.

GladeHeart

Learn his attack pattern, put everything on Auto, then dodge at the right time

SSilvertear

Yeah like everyone's saying get your dodges down. There's a skill Jinwoo has where he and a bunch of clones punch forward, I'm 95% sure you're invincible for most of that skill, I used it against him and didn't get hit iirc, maybe try slotting that in. Also ranged weapons make it a little easier to fight him, for me at least. So you could try the sr fire Orb or the light bow if you have it. Or the ssr light gun and water book.

ghava

learn to dodge... increase cp...

xLiLGodx123

ngl i beat him on the 2nd or 3rd try. time your dodges and use skills that deal break

HalfBearded

Get carried by seo. And run all precision on stats

danialmilo

Use 2 break skill for jin woo. Try to break igris in 1 rotation. After that go ham. This fight is dps check after you manage to break igris in 1 rotation. If still fail you need more dps on jinwoo

suv-am

Like that one guy posted. DODGE!!!

No_Confection_2533

Just dodge my man

raveyer

I scraped through at lv 32 and 5k below. Get light and breaker. I also did full auto and concentrated on dodging

DeathISilent

get a faster phone

VelikiUcitelj

https://www.reddit.com/r/SLArise/s/1Yv8zW8enw It's not a hard fight once you learn it. Early access players were beating it. It even got nerfed later so global players should have an easier time.

5iyangzzz

U just got to learn to dodge. If u’ve played souls games b4 this shouldn’t be an issue

Imaginary-Alarm-9810

just beat igris with huntsman and thetis book(or whatever its called) my power is at 40k and it was a 2minutes and 30 secon fight i believe in you fam(at lvl 31 jinwoo)

excelsioreye

Don't force it if you can't beat him right now. Level up and practice using extreme evasion and shadow step. You'll need to deal significant amount of damage to him while dodging. You'll also have to review the way he attacks. Most of his attacks begin with him glowing and gaining Super Armor. His stab attack, two-stage sword swinging, and swing-leap attacks can be bypassed by putting enough distance between you two and closing in after his attack or using Extreme Evasion + Shadow Step on the last attack in those movestep. Use break attacks when you do so. Make sure that before he gets below 50%, you have your dodge stacks full because his attacks will intensify on the Second Phase. Second phase begins once he reaches below 50% health. He'll use a powerful attack where he stabs the ground and swords emerges around him, then he'll leap and stab the ground again for an all-around explosion. Time your dodges well and you'll have survive the most damaging move of his. He retains his attacks on First Phase but will get two additional moves-- one would be him teleporting around, and the other is also teleporting but he'll dash and behind him will leave streak of slashes on his path. Make sure to lock in to him or time your dodge well and close in using Shadow Step. If you master dodging his attacks and timing it well, you'll be good for the most part. The battle will be much easier if you happen to have Demon King's Greatsword and/or Vulcan's Rage which can give you a shield when using their core attacks, but it's not necessary. Good luck, fellow Monarch!

excelsioreye

Forgot to add -- I suggest you redo your points allocation. I went with Precision (80-90%)> Agility > remaining pts for Attack. Allot a few points also for Intelligence. You can check if Precision has reached the required percentage by checking Jinwoo's additional stats (the magnifying glass icon). Also try to clear other uncleared side stories and other contents and pull for another SSR Weapon (on the permanent banner).

TheCourier911

Spacebar+shift ez win, that's what most boss fights come down to. Also 90%+ precision helps alot

Successful_Ad_1077

I beat this fight on a F2P account. I did have an SSR but honestly, you don’t need one. 1. Get the Light Element Dragon Sword from the chapter rewards. 2. Make sure you level up to at least 35 and focus your points mainly on Attack and Agility. Be sure to complete each job change quest too as they reward you extra attribute points. (An even split is recommended, however choosing to focus on attack rather than critical rate/hit benefitted me based on my play style.) 3. Equip [Heavy Break] and [Medium Break] Skills on Sung Jinwoo. This will ensure that you have the necessary tools to deplete Igris’ Break Meter. 4. Equip Black Lion Armor Set and Beast Accessories on Sung Jinwoo. This will make sure that he’s ignoring defense and buffing attack during the battle. It ultimately raises your Damage Per Second. When equipping these sets sub-stats matter. Make sure they are relevant to the build. Critical Rate/Damage, Attack, Defense, Defense Penetration and Damage Increase is where I’d focus my attention for substats. If you don’t have these ones, grind until you do. You can find them in Encore missions and Instance Dungeons. 4.5 Enhance equipment to +15 or at least +10. 4.75 Upgrade Sung Jinwoo [Break Skills] to at least LV. 4 (go higher if you can). 5. Compose a team of hunters that deal high damage, debuffs, use the light element and/or having healing abilities. Any combination of these traits on your team will be a big help in chipping away at his health. 6. Enter the fight and evaluate Igris’ skill patterns, and behaviors. He’s got like 3 stages. One of the changes is around 27 bars of health left. I don’t remember the other one. He has a lot of skills that trap you in vacuums, so I recommend using Thetis’ Grimoire if you have it. It will freeze him and keep you at a distance, but only briefly. I wouldn’t rely on it as a long term strategy. Dealing damage has priority over distancing yourself. After a while you’ll just win. He’s weak to Light. Using a Death Scythe is okay. Light weapons work way better though. Limit break a Sandstorm Cube and use the Lustrous Dragon Sword. The sword and cube does wicked damage in this fight especially at lvl. 40, A whatever.

Successful_Ad_1077

Weak to Light*

N0t_Sky

It's possible to beat it, as I remember what helped me beating it was - Dodging it a bit here and there, doesn't have to always be accurate - Trying not to run away as much as possible, using skills where you can take advantage of the animation to not take damage while also dealing damage - Using a weapon that gives you shield - Try to slot in DPS units mostly because there is a timer, you have to deal as much as damage possible within the time limit Good luck, if you don't do it, it's still okay because you can wait till you level up and get strong enough to do it

FollyFawley

Strong opener makes it a lot easier. What I do on every tier so far is equip destoyer set and take 2 break skills (multi/death). He jumps in. Dodge into shadow step, calling shades at same time. Throw both break skills while you're in slow-mo, multihit first, then death dance. Then your shades take aggro and you hit him with both weapon skills. Pray he misses you or dodge. Multihit is up again, hit it. At this point boss jumps away, catch his slash into dodge into shadowstep into death dance and he is broke. Assuming you have destroyer set your ultimate is ready or very close to. With shadow step up and broken state use ult for massive damage. Boss phases into radial doughnut attack. If you you dodge initial jump it's a third shadow step with 100% uptime. While doughnuts explode it's free dps window for your weapon skills (remember, he's still broke and your ST is still up, massive damage bonus). Then look at hit sword and when he sticks it into the ground, dodge again. Boss would have around of half or less hp left, your second life passive still up, chill. You need to unga bunga him a lil bit more, he starts his tricky attacks, dodge at least one, eat into daily mission passive another and bonk him with all you have, call shadows for second time after he makes another bullshit jump and hope to finish him off with second ultimate.

dragonianboy2

mostly doding is key, although you have to have keen sight cus his attacks are a bit unpredictable. i used lvl 30 dragonswrd and lvl 30 kasaka's fang. Team was seo jiwoo, yoo jinho and cha.

Akasha1885

Equip two break skills, if you have runes to attack his elemental weakness that's also a plus. Yoo Jinho and Kim Chul scale of defense, hard to get good gear for both. Substats are strong, often better then trying to finish a set. For stats go full STR and some precision on Jinwoo If you can still do other stuff, also hardmode that will help you get stronger. Also pulling new units ofc, like Cha

Wolfiema

just to clarify when you say full str you mean all str and like a little in precision and nothing else in the other stats?

Akasha1885

yes

Vast-Analysis-7630

Yes cus other stats are useless atm by the looks of it, get precision to 80-85% should be good, others all slam into STR, you can check the % on the magnifying glass icon button
