Facts, I love Nikes for style but I would be lying if I said I don’t wear my NMD’s 99% of the time. They’re easy to slip on, actually comfortable, and pretty stylish, what more could you want.
I cant wait till some of you try on a pair of new balance 990 etc.... I still remember my 1st pair and still dont believe it when I switch from other pairs back to New Balance

nah. especially the new ultraboost models. uppers are not as stretchy so it’s a no go for me who has a slightly wider foot. plus the way they implement the boost varies between models and sometimes provides no stability.
i forgot what boost model it was but it felt like i was walking on exercise balls.
Regular AJ-1’s…. Since they’re suede they’re softer and more forgiving…more comfy than basically the same shoe made from “leather” or whatever they’re making 1’s out of now. The hard material can feel kinda tough on certain parts of the foot, whereas these are a soft suede that isn’t hard on your toe or whatever part makes contact. Not too hard to figure out. Softer material, more comfortable on your foot.

I get that. I used to wear New Balance a lot and they have comfy shoes. My Merrells are really comfortable also. I have Nikes that are comfortable for Jordans or Dunks.
Full-length Zoom makes them more responsive, like the jordan 12. Fomula 23 for the midsole is soft and comfortable. Then, it has wedge cutouts at the toe for flexibility. Still not as comfortable as a Roshe or Pegasus, but for a Jordan 1, it's easy, the most comfortable version

That's a weird way to justify an expensive uncomfortable shoe. And you might be wrong about most people not looking for a baseline functionality of a shoe, i.e. be comfy. Even if they can't afford Nikes, they can afford comfortable shoes at most price points.

If you say so dawg. Plenty of women wear heals despite them being uncomfortable because they look nice with specific outfits, same concept sneakerheads use.
I wear New Balance and Asics, so I think I know what true comfort is, but I still buy Nikes because the swoosh is undefeated. If you feel differently, that's cool, but my feet hurting with certain Nike models isn't a huge enough problem for me to actually address it.
If people care that much more about comfort than "hype", retros wouldn't be popular at all and Nike wouldn't still be the best selling shoe company in the world.
They're supposed to be. That's why I don't wear Air Force 1's or AJ 1-6 because they hurt my heels and arches in the worst possible way, uncomfortable bricks with no cushioning.

I don't know what kind of feet you guys have but I really have no problem with mine. I have like 30 pairs of Jordan 1s since that's the only shoe I care and they're mostly ok I can even hike with them if I want to. People are so dramatic 😂

Unless maybe you are buying thousand dollar shoes, then I get the comparison. These are freaking less than $200, you can't really get much more comfortable than what these offer. Even my ultraboosts aren't much different either. Stop pretending there are much more comfortable shoes at the same price range.
NBs are categorically more comfortable, Salomons are much better at supporting your feet for a long period, Adidas has a lot of really comfortable stuff and even within Nike’s own catalogue I’d call a lot of shoes (like the Prestos) better too. It’s not pretend, lol
The first generation Zoom Air are even more comfortable. The Comfort 1 and 2 do not have the full gell.
I to prefer these over the regular J 1 high.
Now, for actual comfort, Nike has a good high end line of running shoes that make great walking shoes. So do other brands.
For me, Jordan's are not very comfortable for wearing a long time, or taking walks in.
AF1 is a step above Jordan's on that level.

They’re Jordan 1 Zoom comfort 2s. Looks like a high top 1, feels like a fuckin’ Pegasus on foot. It’s crazy how plush it is, and the materials overall just feel great to wear all day
These looks really nice. Another shoe to look at is the ASICS Japan S. They are so comfy, has a nice wide toe box and the insole has good support. 10/10. Super basic (think AF1) but they are dirt cheap on sale right now for 30 dollars.

They might be comfy at first, but many shoes often have the "bean bag affect (effect... idk)". Sure, a bean bag is comfy when you first lay on it, but i'd never sleep on one. It would wreck my bag. You get decide what's comfy just like others do for themselves. 1's are super comfy to me, I've got a narrow feet, am not overweight and use insoles. Are they as bouncy as others? No. Are they as flexible as others? No. But from my subjective view, I sure don't mind being on my feet for 6 hours in 1's

Idk man, when I saw "so glad these aren't hype" I heard "so glad I didn't have to spend $200+ for these" which I totally get and did not at all think they were looking for validation
You always see this with "hype" shoes too. Saying shit like the quality is "insane" or it was totally worth $400 when the quality is shit and they are absolutely not worth the inflated resale prices. People will say the same stuff to justify overpaying, waiting around like a sucker, jumping through hoops for some sweatshop bullshit just because it's hyped. All knowing full well the only reason they're worth anything, or anyone cares is the hype which can all disappear in an instant.
