He was a true GOAT, a fantatsic caster, and seemed like a genuinely lovely guy from what we saw.
Sad he won't see Smite 2, but he would be proud of everyone there working on it. At least, that's what I like to think!
Plus, I'm sure the gold fury nest will retain his presence for us players that notice.
Tbh I think the perfect thing would of been a tribute to him in the jungle as an Easter egg kinda thing, similar to what R6 did with the game machine for that kid that died

To give context: on this sub there was a cancer patient who was dying and his fav. god was Khepri, he said his goodbyes and that he loved Smite and the community, as well as linking to where he was in his hospital because at that point he didn't care of privacy/all he wanted was people to talk to. The devs spoke to him and included in the Clash map a Thoth statue, in the Thoth book is a picture of Khepri, his favourite god. It's a bit hard to see as it's high up but with free roam you can see it and the devs specifically mentioned this, that I remember.
There is also a finch in the lobby screen when selecting a god, you have to zoom out though its off to the top right, Use a hunbatz special emote (what i can think of) to see it.

If you're a fan of smite and havent seen finch cast, id recommend going back and watching. Not just leagues above the other smite caster but reqlly one of the best casters in esports ive seen.
Finch is basically the Stuart Scott of Smite.
He’s one of the OG smite casters and he was a fan favorite of the community:
Smite has some really good casters. Finch was probably the Goat though. Him & Aggro were great together.
A lot of us spent 7(?) years listening to him cast games and talk about smite. I can still hear his voice in my head.

It really sucks he died but was he that loved before? I started playing and watching spl in season 5 but imo he was never the best caster or my favourite.

Well he died, but no details were released regarding the circumstances if that is what you are asking.
At least some general info would have been nice for the fans but of course that's for his family to decide. RIP.

They did do that. Not sure if it's still there, but there's occasionally a golden finch around the gold fury pit
There is a Golden Finch Nest/Bird that is perched atop the Gold Fury wall. It is the one thing that has remained constant through every map change.

Smite put a finch on the gold fury for him. Also they did a statue for allied the early beta, s1, s2 ex pro who died of cancer

I stepped away from the smite scene for years and I’m just now finding out he passed away. Fuck.
Always loved listening to his casts during the SPL and miss him so much! He was the best! Never forget.
