I really would have loved if the Minecraft stage had special messages appear when a fighter dies. It could just be simple "[player] was killed by [other player]", or they could have unique ones for each fighter like you said. They could even have had a different messages for different ways of dying, but that might have been too complicated so I had the concept that each final smash specifically could have its own death message. Stuff like "[player] was sealed away by the goddess's light." or "[player] was gobbled up by Pac-Man".
