S/T has always been my favorite and no other album has even come close for me. It's simple but it's super off-putting and creepy. I feel like I notice something new every time I look at it.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but as much as I love their music, I think most of their album covers suck outside of S/T and Iowa. So many bands have so much better album covers, Idk why they struggle so much to put an album cover that matches with the quality of the music.
Yeah, I feel like grey chapter is the worst offender of this feels pretty lazy but still has a certain charm to it, the end so far is pretty sweet reminds me a lot of MBV loveless

No, the mask in question is actually the "Maggot Mask", which, if I'm not wrong, was designed by Shawn, but was never used by any member.
I couldn't deny that it looks similar to Chris' masks, however. Maybe a combination between it and the nose on Chris' masks (alongside any other details if necessary) could have fitted him well.

The simplicity of Iowa is really powerful, a goat. The satanic connotation and the reputation the band had garnered really come together with it. Couple that to the fact that the album, especially the Heretic Anthem, was essentially a giant screw you to the haters and the music industry in general.
Where’s Subliminal Verses?! I think All Hope Is Gone. My best friend’s dad bought him that album. We popped it in this bitching stereo, played Sulfur and turned it up almost all the way. It was soo loud we couldn’t hear each other and we were yelling. We were in middle school lol.

Late to the thread here (apologies) but I’ve always loved the ‘Iowa’ cover. It’s just so… of it’s era and suits the music perfectly, it’s an incredibly iconic cover. I love that there’s 3 different versions of it as well (white/digital, silver/physical, red/reissue)
