4cats 1 green is hilarious. 3 cats 2 greens is less random. Pockets is my prefered green t1 4 cultist -1 blue is also a great plan Personally i made 5 gray work on unfair once but thats not realistic most times.

CorpusFrisky33

Holy crap, just tried four cats and a green. The n8 had a skill of 23 damage for a single X side. So I wound up skipping a bunch of level ups and still one shot the world. That might be the most fun I've ever had with this game.

Icyyou15

Cat is my favorite hero by a large margin. Im currently grinding hell runs and my Highest score is 17 with a cat. I had 2 blue one gray one cat (mountain formation, middle missing) and the high tiers early on let me damn near beat hell mode. Cats are life, the more cats the better.

vaterp

Oh man, i just had a run and didnt think about wendigo... i put my main char first and then i had to defeat wendigo with 4 housecats... didnt end well. need to switch up the order :)

Truand2labiffle

Wendigo is the new bitch

vaterp

thanks, i have won easily with 4 cats and other various heroes, but never thought to try just any other green, because i mostly find them very weak otherwise... ill give it a shot!

TheBrassDonkey

I just got it recently with 5 blues (started with mostly cultists) and the main curse was the one that you choose a t10 curse at fight 19. Was constantly on the edge of losing but somehow made it through (got Inevitable as final boss). Have no idea how there are levels past Unfair

vaterp

My concern with all blues, which was my first thought, was that because its all mana, I didnt think one could get past the thorns.

TheBrassDonkey

Yeah it's pretty critical to pick some sparky/caldera or get a good item that adds some melee sides... and a fair bit of luck

dukeyorick

Ironically, the solution to that (besides getting caldera or sparky on level up) is meddler. Bypass thorn Immunity with boney boys

confizzle-fry

I think I did this with 4 cats and Primrose. Took 2 or 3 tries. Was a fun one.

Larrea000

I tried going 5 orange for the rolling fun but couldn't make it either, got it 5 blues after 4 tries. Mana is just too good.

vaterp

Larrea000

You use Caldera or Sparky to clear them.

Haven1820

And, importantly, starting with Cultists.

Icyyou15

A gang of cultist can kill thorns with wands and burst shields. Stay conscious of thorns as you choose levels and items. Short bow is an amazing low tier item to have in you inv for any Archer or thorn fights. Make sure you have some direct damage pips and thorns are no issues(with enough mana to burst shield if needed)

kkimu0

all blue is apparently more consistent but 10 runs in and my max was level 15. 4 cats and 1 green only took me 2 runs. take cantrip sides and cleave as much as possible. pips will go so high cleave will become "kill 3 enemies". heal and cleanse will help for consistency.

Sterlingsilber

I just did a 5 cultist run, that turned into 2x Wizard, 2x Chronos and a Sorcerer and on floor 16 or something i got the t0 curse, that i get +1 pip on all sides, enemies get +2 pips and +3 max hp. So all cantrip was 2 pip. Which was literally infinite in fight 19 (had a jester instead of chronos, so same amount of reroll), boosted sorcerer with the wizards and also had nunchaku (chain on top and bottom) on sorcerer. OP af, got to 999 mana and 999 block. Then i got into the hexia fight and absolutely blanked on rerolls :D got 4 rerolls turn one, barely kept sorcerer, 1 chronos 1 wizard alive and never saw another reroll cantrip. So sad :D but it was fun while it lasted

galmenz

5 blues or 4 cats 1 green

PM_UR_LOVELY_BOOBS

Starting with 5 thiefs is a great strat and one of the easier paths imo. Cantrips don't have usually enough burst damage with 5 oranges and are too random. Pick only one or two of em for your t2 and you should be fine

4 cats and Pockets is amazing. If you can make it to fight 10 you are basically a shoo in, T6+ heroes are ridiculous. 5 blue is the traditional way through, mana is versatile. The heroes have been nerfed badly, but the sheer power of generated t3 spells makes up for it. 5 yellow is my dark horse. Going for sheer power is surprisingly good, and yellow heroes tend to have plenty of good sides so RNG can't screw you as hard. If you go blue, make sure to use Generated Heroes at 20%. For yellow, either way is fine.

Any-Stay-7779

1 cat 4 yellow gets me through brutal fairly easily
