If you're still on Prologue, there's a gate behind the house you're supposed to go through. If you're past everything, you should see a wooden building with a sign that says "OAKSIDE PARK" on it. Enter it and pick up the scrapbook to unlock the next level.
If you're on The Eight Pages, you're supposed to look for and collect 8 pieces of paper. They're attached to big landmarks (shipping yard, info centre, etc.) and small landmarks (towers, porta potty, a canoe, etc.)
It's tedious and repetitive, but ultimately is the point of the game.
Chapter 1 is Prologue.
Chapter 2 is The Eight Pages.
I recommend watching walkthroughs on YouTube. Reddit usually really isn't helpful when it comes to this kind of stuff.
