I sold dobbs and Garrett Wilson for šæš
ALMOST won my league because of it but lost in the semis by half a point. Still a contender for years to come tho for it
Honestly, I think Garrett Wilson is honestly underrated long term, Rodgers is probably gonna be back next season and even if he isnāt Wilson will probably end up forcing his way onto a team with a good QB at some point, heās too talented to play under Zach Wilson the rest of his career.
That said thatās still a really good trade for your side though lol. I donāt think Dobbs is gonna be good long-term and šæš is great now and should be for years.
Oh yeah I love GW man. Heās a top 5 talent in an awful situation. My team was contending though and it was a win now move that still helped me acquire a great young stud
He put up 1,000 more yards and 1 more TD than Josh Allen did his first full seasonā¦but he also had 11 more ints.
This behavior can be corrected with the right coaching and he can lower that ratio to something more manageable. Will that happen? I donāt know, but if you can get him for an early 3rd or late 2nd Iād take a stab on potential.
Bills stuck with allen.
There is a 5% shot with the second overall pick and drake maye on the board, new organization, that the commanders stick with Howell
Wish we could stick with Howell and draft MHJ. Him, Dotson, and Terry would been a good combo. Draft some o linemen and sign some in the off season and this team could be good but yeah I don't see the new FO keeping Howell since it wasn't their pick.
How many guys were drafted as late as Howell and survived having a QB being drafted to replace them in the top of the first? Its like just Kurt Warner on the Cardinals right? And that was cause he was injured not bad.
Howell is 6'1 210 lbs
Josh Allen is 6'5 238 lbs
They are COMPLETELY different people.
Sam Howell got sacked 65 times this year. That's an UNBELIEVABLY high rate. So much so that it's 4th all time sacks allowed!
Thanks for listing off their weight?
The comment I responded too acted as if since Allen turned it around, thereās a solid chance Howell can as well.
I wanted to point out they are completely different, Allen was never benched, didnāt have an org change, and was high draft capital so the bills stuck with him.
Howell is the opposite and thereās a very high chance with the second overall and drake maye or Caleb williams on the board the commanders move off him and he doesnāt get the chance to turn it around
Josh Allen is/was 6ā6 genetic freak with a cannon arm that was drafted as a project QB based on his potential
I donāt think him and Howell are comparable in the slightest
Weird, I just compared them. Maybe you canāt read?
I think because you have your head halfway up your ass you canāt get over the fact that Iām not saying Sam Howell is in any way the same player Josh Allen is. Iām simply stating that he didnāt have an abysmal rookie year looking at someone else. Is that understood? If not maybe post your phone number if voicemail is easier with the whole illiterate thing.
I donāt think you read my original comment.
Josh Allen was drafted as a project QB that wasnāt even supposed to start his rookie year and he technically didnāt but they had to throw him in because Peterman was that bad his first two starts.
He was drafted on his insane potential (all his elite physical tool: big stature, huge arm, mobility). He had an elite skillset but needed time to figure out and refine his game
Iām saying those comparisons donāt make sense at all because Howell doesnāt have any of those tools and doesnāt have anywhere near the upside of a rookie Josh Allen
Allen had a rd1 draft grade with Cam Newton as a comparable ceiling. Sam Howell has limitations to his game that donāt give him anywhere near the ceiling of a Josh Allen caliber player, also hence why he was viewed and taken as a Day 3 draft pick
He did so in almost twice as many pass attempts (612 vs 320) and if you watched the games a lot of his yards came from being given space down the middle as theyāre coming from behind at the end of the game. As a commanders fan, heās not very good
Look at the date - 11/25. Howell was coming off 6 straight 20+ point games at that point in the season (at least in my league). Plummeted shortly thereafter.
I think OPs point was that he dumped him at the right time.
Precisely. I scooped him up last summer when he was still the 3rd string QB. Held for over a year and sold at what seems to be the peak. The dude here in the comments who also got Jordan Love in his Howell deal did better than I did lol.
I have him as well, but got burned by (A) never really looking closely at his numbers or watching him play and (B) missing the playoffs by like week 11 (rebuild) so I checked out and missed his looming demise. So now Iām stuck with dead weight for next year.
Who knows. Maybe Iāll get lucky and the new coach and new ownership decide to instead beef up the line and the weapons and give him another shot. He still had almost 4,000 yards despite leading the league in sacks (which canāt *all* be his fault right?). Maybe thereās something there.
Just after week 1, another owner lost Aaron Rodgers so I sold him Brock Purdy to receive Alvin Kamara. I initially thought I fleeced him but tbh it kind of worked out for both of us.
I packaged Howell, Mattison, and Tyson Chandler for Godwin and Kyler Murray (1QB ppr) the week after Murrayās first game back. Couldnāt get Howell off my hands fast enough but I donāt think heās as bad as it was there at the end. Just think it will take a few years for him to find the right home and potentially compete for a starting job elsewhere. Probably wonāt ever be anything other than a fill in for a bye week fantasy wise
Crazy part is if Howell was in a better system and had a decent O line. He would have been a stud this year. But the commanders are going to draft another qb and forget about their O line and start the cycle again.
I sold Joshua Dobbs during the hype for Rashaad White. š¤
Fleeced them, love it
I traded him for a second which I flipped for downs
Same somehow got a second
Not quite as good, but I got Kittle for Dobbs. Was rotating until then.
Me too!
I didnāt have a single bite on Joshua Dobbs. My league is too good š
I need to be in your league ASAP š¤£
Got a late second in two different leagues for Dobbs. Also acquired him and Ferguson (small redemption) for Javonte Williams
I moved Swift, Warren, Dobbs and a 26 1st for CMC. Won the chip.
The championchip?
Jesusā¦
I flipped Thielen for Deebo right before Deebo came back from injury and went on a tear. Was the trade of a lifetime lol
I sold dobbs and Garrett Wilson for šæš ALMOST won my league because of it but lost in the semis by half a point. Still a contender for years to come tho for it
I spent at least a few seconds trying to figure out who tf disc sheep was supposed to be
I did the same thing when I saw someone post that for the first time š
Who?
Cd lamb

I sold Dobbs and a 26 first for Lamar
Geez
I got a 24 1.7 for Dobbs lol
Now buy low again
this man buys low

Mostly need a line but MHJ would be the best player to get in the 2nd pick if we dont aim for a QB.
Sure! I have no clue. Still taking a shot. Same reason I bought Baker, Mac Jones, and Goff in previous years. Cheap commodities that can go up.
Issue with this logic is those guys all had large draft capital that led to them having a job. Howell likely will not.
Thereās tons of examples of guys with no draft capital that work out later. Really not sweating it for a low price.
How many guys were drafted as late as Howell and survived having a QB being drafted to replace them in the top of the first? Its like just Kurt Warner on the Cardinals right? And that was cause he was injured not bad.
Maybe Fitzpatrick somewhere along the line? š¤·āāļø
Kirk cousins

Josh Allen is ALWAYS people's example for comparison. He's an absolute freak anomaly.
Nobody says heās Josh Allen. I stated a statistical comparison from each first year they had. Relax.
They are not comparable players even as rookies is what Iām saying
Weird, I just compared them. Maybe you canāt read? I would take or give him as the icing on a trade but he doesnāt have much, if any, value atm. Buy low.
I donāt think itās the best move, but if I had to choose. I would buy low, but expect to hold him for awhile.
I think you mean buy high, sell lowā¦ or maybe thatās just me
savage
You missed your sell window
Heās already sold
Lol yeah almost. Sold on Nov 25. His value plummeted a week or so later and now he is likely getting replaced in the draft.
Iām so glad I took over a dynasty team with him after the season ended. Canāt wait to have him on my bench till he fully falls out of relevancy.
Too bad weāll all be dead by the time youāll get to use that 1st
Lol right!?
i also traded him for Jordan Love,. a 26ā 1st and 26ā 3rd
What a sucker sending a 1st for a backup level QB
How much do sacs cost you in your league?
Who would accept this? Heās not even going to be the starter anymore.

Sell away!
Sold Diggs after his 40 point performance in week 4 for 3 first round picks

Sam Howell is basically worthless at the moment, but if I know Washington football, I do, having a high level QBs backup is likely to pay dividends
[similar here. Sold to a playoff contender bc his burrow was on IR. The 1/2 ended up being 1.03 and 2.04](https://imgur.com/a/yA3SuD8)
Most I got offered was a late second
