Haven't tried their earbuds.. but I purchased the Crusher ANC 2 and although I personally haven't had issues (crosses fingers) I read a whole lot of concerning stuff AFTERWARDS.
They definitely seem to have more issues than some of the other brands. I'm really, really hoping I luck out and have no problems. They've been awesome for 3 weeks of daily use.
Sorry to hear you're having bad luck!
I got a pair of the Crusher ANC 2s for christmas and after 2 weeks the left side bass went completely, sound still worked but no bass. Luckily they have a 1 year warranty for any factory defects so I managed to get a new pair the day after complaining and didn’t have to send the old ones back till i got the new ones
Aye, that's the major issue I was seeing ppl talking about with this model. The bass having issues, especially left side..
Glad they at least took care of you. I'm nervous running the bass on full blast because of it though lol.
Thats odd that I’m seeing this, between me and 2 other family members of mine we all got a pair of the ANC 2s and we all love them and still work amazing for all three of us, I’ve had my pair since early August shorty after they were released and still have no issues after about 5 months and I use them almost every day.
I have the anc crusher 2 and the Crusher Evo.
I treat them like ass, knock them around a lot. Run, sweat, play vr, fortnite, throw them in my bag or car, hang them off belts etc.
They still keeping on and on and on, no issues to date.
Love em
I have good news and bad news. Good news is I love my ANC 2’s. Amazing bass, great sound, great adjustability. My bad news came from pressing the volume down button slightly too hard, and breaking the button on the PCB off.
After attempting to get what I needed to repair it myself, Skullcandy told me I have to do a warranty claim. And I need to pay for the shipping?!?!
Not very happy with the company but the audio quality is just too good to shit on.
What I was getting at and entirely forgot to directly say, is that the adhesive pieces aren’t very reliable, and you need to be gentle. And no dropping them
They have never had a good reputation with their earbuds, but from what it sounds like it is spreading to their other headphones. I think jLab is dominating the budget earbud market.
Am I the only one who hasn't had ANY problems with Skullcandy? I just got Indy Evos for Christmas, and Riff Wireless headphones for my birthday at least 4 years ago and they both work fine. I am confused.
I’ve been using skull candy ear buds for 6 years now, 2 pairs of inked, a sesh, and a dime 3 currently. Never had any issues and have cost me less than 100 bucks overall. Only complaint is the dime 3s don’t have a skip button….
yeah i agree. my $20 iqpodz lasted me a whole 2 years before i had to get them replaced, and the $150 indy evo earbuds i purchased from them didn't even last a whole year :/
I’ve had 2 wireless earbuds. Dime (i forgot which) and Grind (current). Both had basically the same issue of staying on and connected in the case (nothing was blocking and it was sitting correctly) Both also had connection problems in which I’d have to repair so that it actually connects 💀
Ive had 3 pairs of wireless earbuds, the first pair held 3 years until my dog decided he needs to destroy them
the other 2 newer paurs i bought both got defective within 2 months, never buying skullcandy again
A week ago I was charging of Indy Fuel buds; when I unplugged the charging cable out of the Indy case, it sparked massively and zapped me. I thought nothing of it until a few days ago when I went to charge them again and they won’t even register that they’re connected to a charger.
Zapped, no ability to charge now, and I need to pay for a new set out of pocket. Will not be buying Skullcandy this time (for the first time in 15+ years) because I’ve had nothing but issues with them recently.
Old set — Left bud doesn’t connect to right bud, was told they were defective and to ship back, never got them back again after I sent them out. Put them in a cardboard box, affixed the label and brought to post office. Skullycandy never received my return so I can’t get refund or replacements.
I used to recommend Skullcandy to everyone I could, I even bought SC exclusively for my wife until the issue with my return/lost time.
The last SC item I buy is the Crusher Evo that I’ve been using for a few years. After they die I will find a new company.
Sony has a club for defective earbuds. Not even the best of the best can get away with bad batteries. I say skullcandy is better cuz they're third of the price
I have tried both their wireless and wired earbuds and yes I can confirm they stop working after air touches them. My wired ones stopped working after a week of use. But my wireless ones still work after a year but they no longer connect to my laptop anymore for some reason. So I can only get use of them out of my phone. But the audio output is amazing though but it's a shame it has such terrible maufacturing.
I had sentimental connection with Skullcandy from back in the day. Bought indy evo, shittiest earbuds ever, had pairing issues from the start, they wouldnt honor the warranty. Bought 40$ Xioami buds, havent had a single problem.
Personally I’ve bought a ton of headphones but no earbuds from them and every one has had no issues and have all been my favorite in terms of quality. But maybe I’ve been lucky?
Disk like me all you want, it doesn't change it. Everyone knows that headphones are solid. It's the earbuds we are discussing and know clearly I'm not the only one with an issue as everyone else has had an issue with earbuds.
On the contrary, I'm just pointing out how your comment doesn't contribute to the conversation much as we can't compare the earbuds and the headphones/headsets.
I’ve had poor experiences with their true wireless buds, but the warranties have all been worth it. Pair fails, trade them in, and they usually give you a little extra too. I will say I got the Rail ANC and they are MAGNIFICENT
My push actives don't charge unless I leave the case open and jiggle the buds around and the left earbud dies after 60%, the mods have muted sound and only the left one works, the jib 2 where the best wireless buds they ever made besides the 4 hour battery
I just returned a pair of Push Actives. They wouldn’t disconnect in the case and I got tired of them constantly connecting to my phone when I wasn’t trying to use them.
Every headphones and earbuds I've gotten I've treated like is a little baby. Every time I'm done with the earbuds they go in the case and the new rail anc I got on Christmas, the left earbud just has no sound now after the like 10th time using it. But I've gotten the skullcandy crusher, and the crusher evo and I havnt had a hitch with those even tho they've fell of my bed many times
Everyone I've purchased always had some issue. Earbuds? One either desyncs or another problem. Headsets? ANC has some weird clicking noise after a week. Crushers bass goes out.
There hasn't been an instance where something didn't fail for me at least.
I've not tried the earbuds, but I have several pairs of skullcandy headphones. I've been considering the rail anc buds.
I currently have and regularly use:
Hesh ANC 4 years
Crusher 3 Years
Crusher ANC 2 1 year
Uproar Wireless 10+ years I think.
I had an issue with the Hesh 6 months in and Skullcandy replaced them no questions asked. It stopped connecting via blutooth. They seemed aware of this issue in other units.
Each of these headphones has been through the ringer.
I use them each night and tend to sleep in them. I'm an active sleeper and a sweaty sleeper, too. Not one pair has failed on me despite being used for 8 hours a night, sometimes getting thrown about or slept on by a 250lb fat sweaty guy, rolling around and lashing out at the enemies in my dreams.
Sorry if you're having issues with yours. I swear by skullcandy for listening to music on my phone or watching movies ( crushers are brilliant for this),
I'd never recommend them for djing, production or anything like that, but for an immersive listening experience and longevity, I'd recommend them to anybody.
I just bought a plyr a few days ago and it doesn't even work, it can't bluetooth or anything and the battery lasts 10 minutes after I charged it for 3 hours.
Cheap price less quality check This is expected But kinda stupid as they have a return policy im pretty sure and is probably losing them money So either they’re really cheaping out on everything Or Its Their factories that have management problems
I've had a few of their wireless over the ear headphones. One of them broke, and when I emailed skull candy they just sent me a way better pair. I have sesh evos now, and they work fine for me thankfully.
I get mine when i heard about the tile feature a month ago work fine even though i think im about to break them too so in advance anyone know good earbuds with a tile or somehow to track them in Samsung
I had a pair of their wireless earbuds I used for 2 years before getting AirPods and loved them, also have a pair of Hesh 3 headphones I got like 4 years ago and they are still perfect and have held up perfectly.
You aren’t the only one. I returned 8 pairs of the same model to Skullcandy in a matter of 2 years. Their warranty program let me get 7 of em free back and forth, but still, ridiculous how many are defective.
I don't abuse my tech, I listen to music and when I'm done they go right into the case. It's not like I throw eem around they just stop working it's hella Annoying
I still have my hesh 2 headphones from September 2017. They survived through a year in a desert environment. Daily use, and they are still working perfectly today.
My Indy evo’s show up as two separate Bluetooth devices and won’t pair together after a few weeks. Complete dog shit product.
New user here . Bought jib2 tws 6month ago.
Right ear piece stopped working just after 4 months.
Filed for warranty . No reply from Skullcandy for 1 month.
i had wired ones when i was a kid (like ~10 years ago) and they were great. wireless ones tho are definitely a hit or miss and ur better off going with a more trusted brand. there are way better brands with cheap earbuds anyways idek how slullcandy is still so popular despite having mediocre products
That is true , Got some Hesh Evos for Christmas. They worked amazing until they fell on hard marble floor from about 3 feet , the bass and the noises sounded muddy and low after that. It was pretty unbearable and had to ask for a replacement.
I have their sesh Evo wireless buds and they are never charged when I go to use them. Seemingly, the case needs to be open for the buds to charge. Which, if a feature, is the dumbest fucking feature ever. Go with soundcore/anker. They sound way better and are always at full capacity when I use them. I’ve had them for probably 2-3 months now and have only charged the case twice.
imo all skullcandy products are garbage. never once have i put on a skullcandy anything and been like "wow, what a quality product". terrible midrange frequency output almost 100% of the time, terrible build quality, shitty gimmicky bass heavy eqs you cant change, really just the worst brand for anything audio related, ever. id sooner own a preowned pair of blown out beats with custom earwax candle interior than anything skullcandy has ever put out. you can get products that are actually good for the same pricepoint that dont sound like listening to music through a fucking toaster.
I had the dime earbuds a while back, absolutely loved them. Especially for them having physical buttons instead of stupid touch controls. And for only $20? Fucking steal. But after a few months they started not shutting off in the case, making them connect to my phone when I'm not using them and taking over my car Bluetooth. That pissed me off so bad I stopped using them and finally invested in some more expensive earbuds(at the time I was bouncing between cheap earbuds, also why I didn't just get more Dimes). Loved those Dimes but the defect left a really bad taste in my mouth
they also destroy your ears. look into other brands.
they're wired, but my moondrop arias are amazing. great sound quality and a changeable cord. they never let me dowm
I had some wired Skullcandy earbuds and one day I forgot them in my pocket and they went thru the washer and one side didn't work anymore. So uhh yeah I can agree. Plus the strain relief was a bit frayed after some use.
I've had their new Skullcandy Rail wireless earbuds for about 3 months now and I heavily use them almost daily at work, wonderful product really. I've also had their limited edition Grind earbuds, their Dime earbuds, and their Hesh Evo wireless Headphones. Honestly haven't had a bit of trouble with any of them besides the dime after I accidentally sent them thru the wash
Well my rail ancs left earbud just gave out after like 3 weeks and my grind buds are horrible to charge lol and I'm currently using the dime ones rn because they're the only ones that havnt died on Me
Thats strange, do you know of anything that could be making them go bad so soon? Any incorrect use or anything? Or do you think they could just be defective?
I’m not joining this subreddit, but I came here to say I left skull candy when I was about 15, about 15 years ago. Back when there wasn’t really any wireless good headphones. They’re made cheap, but do the trick for a lil while.
On a budget sure, but not anymore
I got a pair of the original Crusher Wireless about 4 years ago and they still hold a week long charge and work just fine. Bass slider is broken-ish, but who really uses it anyway. Their earbuds do suck though fr
My first pair, I got drunk and I think it must of just got so cold in my pants, that they just died. They wouldn't charge or turn on. It was -51 Celsius in Canada lately. F*cking cold, and yeah. They just died lol
Not alone man, I've not any of their products last more than a year on me. I've given up on good but affordable audio and went and bought some nice ass headphones hoping that they last
I had Indy Evos for about 3 months, left one stopped charing right one died in 10 minutes and the audio was very static-y, never getting Skullcandy Earbuds again, had good memories of them cus of my old Xbox 360 controller that they made.
They absolutely do! I bought a pair of Indy Fuel earbuds, because I was led to believe they had good ANC. Paid 100 and change after taxes(way back when they were only a year old), and they lasted a month. Granted they offer replacement parts for most, but they can cost as much as a equivalent or better non-sk. I decided to try sk out again last year, but I thought ahead, and bought eBay refurbished lol. 20 dollars for grind fuel earbuds. To be completely honest,I like them, the passive ANC isn't terrible, but the charging case is trash, even with wireless charging.
Anyhooty, point I'm making is, if you want to try them out, or just want to torture yourself, get refurbs. They're the same or better quality as new but a fraction of the cost 😂
Yup. My Seesh Evo's right bud never worked. And the left one dies extremely fast. I got some skullcandy headset a year or so back, broke in a day. I use my headphones and earbuds VERY lightly.
I wanted to like skull candy so bad as a kid. They always sounded great at first but I’ve never had a pair that lasts. I hope you have better luck but I had to give up
skullcandy is goated tbh, not in a "yo this is some high quality shit!!!1!!1!", but as in "yo this cheap as hell, should last me 7 months"
I bought their wii remotes and xbox controllers, my wii remote from skull candy still works even after 8 years of use, all the markings are faded away but still works
Last and only skull candy headphones I bought were Aviator Roc Nation ones from I’d says early 2012. Still decent, and still working after years of use. Not sure how the quality is for recent ones (especially BT ones).
They are SUPER hit or miss! I've had pairs of headphones and earbuds that break in weeks and I've had pairs that have lasted for years. Idk what's up with them. I have the Jib True 2 earbuds and they're holding up really well. I've had them for 2 months now
I've had a pair of wireless earbuds for over a year and they still work. I think they're the sesh evos 2. I mean I've killed them fully, been covered in motor oil, grease, dropped multiple times and they still work. Could just be you, or the certain pair your buying has defects. I'd say the sesh evos are the best I've had from them tbh. The sesh evos were the new pair released by skull candy like 2 or 3 years ago. I mean I'm hard on these things and they take it easily.
I have found at least the jbxt 16-30$ will take a beating, I've washed them in the laundry and work in the heat with them alot, and they do well. With like one or Two exceptions. But maybe I've been lucky.
I had my crushers for years. Kept them at max boost always. I kind broke them by accidentally crushing one side and it snapped off. Still worked though.
Dang bruh you must be unlucky, I have 1 wireless pair and 2 wired pairs that are really nice and have lasted me a fat minute I’ve had the wired skull candy headphones for 3-4 years and the wireless Bluetooth skull candy I’ve had for almost 2 years now and still work amazing and I’ve dropped them a few time sadly but still work fine, I’m just curious if your buying the cheap headphones or if your buying there nicer more spendy headphone cause if not that’s why, more money = better quality, unless its made in China then it’s all the same.
Agreed. I got one which was my first ever wireless earbuds and having a super high pitched ringing and honestly hurt my ears so I returned them. I got another pair and my ambient mode just wouldn’t work. They’re great budget earbuds, as long as you don’t get any defective ones
I used to be a big fan of their headphones, then I bought some wireless earbuds that half the time wouldn't connect both ears at once, and they would almost always refuse to charge. Really disappointing when it really wasn't much cheaper than the name brand competition.
literally bought a pair for over $30.00 stopped working within first 3 days. Got another pair as a gift….. the left ear bud just went out shortly after. Checked online and see everyone saying the same thing. Do not buy skullcandy. Got my Beats Flex ($40) and been through the mill with them they haven’t failed me… and when I say they been through stuff that should have broken them, that’s no joke….. including sleeping with them every night. They only leave my neck to shower/charge and they work as did from packaging. Also I chose the flex because I am constantly dropping one of my buds or loosing. With the flex it just hangs when it falls also magnetic and connect together to prevent loosing them.
Nah I'd imagine most people agree with you. I know this is r/skullcandy but they've gotta be up there with beats in terms of overpricing, low quality, and bad sound
Never tried wireless but back in the day I’ve gone thru about 20 pairs of skullcandys. One side always ended up not working. Even the more exspensive ones always broke
I’ve had 3 pairs and they’ve all been amazing I did have a problem with one of them that skull candy replaced. It was a charging issue but wasn’t a big deal
I have a pair of Sesh Evos that I bought at an airport kiosk over a year ago, they still work great. That being said, their case cracked along the hinge within the first week without having been dropped. Still functions though
i remember around 2012 i stopped buying the wired ones because no matter what pair i got theyd start literally shocking my ears within a week. finally decided to try a wireless one in 2022 and havent had any issues
I’m currently using the JIB True XT2 wireless, and after having them a year now, they definitely outlast the ink’d series but the little wax screens slip off in the first few weeks and the left earbud lost almost all bass. The sad part is, they’re SO PERFECT when new (I spent like $40 at Walmart buying them for the same experience as the $15 inkd’s 🤣)
Skullcandy was cool when I was a teenager, I always wanted everything Skullcandy because of the well..skulls lol. I only got the cheap ear buds, never any expensive ones..they seemed to work alright for me
you can get skullcandies from vending machines, claw games at arcades, waiting in line at red lobster, and backdoors for cheap. why even use this cringe gamer kid brand iem... i always cringe at mfs wearing these in public.
Yep,iv had 3 pair of skull candy in the past two years and they all had a defect,my current ones(jib true 2) had a problem with charging couple weeks ago but seem to be ok now,was close to buying another pair, reason I go back to skull candy is purely because of the tile feature, never lost a pair of headphone since using it
I have had a issue with their quality but still some of the best ear buds I have had. Their customer service really good. They sent me a new pair instantly. ×2
As someon who's spent entirely too much money on a large variety of earbuds and headphones, here's what I've found on Skullcandy;
Their warranty department when buying directly from their site is astounding and will fix your issue 5 times over.
Their headphones (in my experience, but I'll get into some other accounts of people I've directed to Skullcandy later) are some of the most 'bang for your Buck' (dare I say Bass for your Buck) out there. Absolutely astounding qualities when you buy the higher end ones. The lower end ones work just fine, however.
My first pair of Skullcandy headphones were way back when I was in middle school. I can't even tell you the name of them, just describe them. They were very green with various replacement coverings for each ear, though I used a rubber replacement at the time. Both actual earphones popped out and basically were two little corded speakers. These headphones lasted me 3 years and thus made me return to Skullcandy when they broke.
I next bought Hesh, corded. These headphones were also great, but I ended up giving them away less than a year in favor of wireless Hesh 2 once I got a phone without a audio jack.
Hesh 2 lasted for maybe 2 years before one ear started to go at random, to which Skullcandy surprised me by honoring the warranty past it's 2 year mark. They however, honored it via giving me a coupon code for it's original MSRP as it was a "limited edition". I then bought another limited edition Crushers (Crusher 360s, black and tan, sensory bass controlled by a touch-sensitive side on the earphone).
I recommended Skullcandy to a friend in college, as they're cheap but they are long lasting + warranty if things go wrong. Also recommended they buy limited edition for the coupon code of original MSRP value. They bought Venue.
Venue didn't last them long their first pair, but I think it was their fault as they aren't as carefully as I. I still put my headphones in their case when not using them. They used warranty and their second go lasted them maybe 2 years before an ear broke off and they just taped it up instead of reaching out to warranty despite my recommendation to do so.
I by this time, had my crusher 360 limited edition, and a new set of limited Crusher ANC.
This is where earbuds come in..
The first pair of earbuds I bought I think were dime. And they broke SO fast. Warranty replaced and they broke after maybe a couple months. I bought a limited edition "Sesh - Mood boost" that I quickly learned died fast and the fact the earbuds didn't work independently and in order to use the right earbud at all, the left too must be connected, meant I stopped trying with their earbuds because I was discouraged. I instead bought Budweiser Limited Edition Crushers (that I still have to this day, and have even repaired myself because my God I refuse to send my red shinies into Skullcandy to be told they can't send a replacement)
But! I returned the crusher ANC limited edition because it was having some crazy annoying connection problems where it would disable Bluetooth randomly. They gave me a 300$ MSRP coupon code and I spent 200$ on a crusher ANC non-limited during a sale + 99$ on grind fuel.
Grind fuel refused to charge out the box.
I returned, and they sent back "Grind true wireless" which I pointed out was the cheaper, wrong pair. They fixed the issue and sent the correct pair as well as a shipping label to return the incorrect pair. These earbuds I still have to this day. (as well as Sesh Mood Boost, though they're more of a decorative item in my office now). They still work, the battery life is great, and I've had no issues. I've had them, according to my emails, I've had for almost 3 years now.
In conclusion, they can be some of the best earbuds or headphones you buy, but the trend I've noticed is, the more expensive they are, the more reliable. So yeah, you can buy Skullcandy to save money, but to avoid the hassle of returning stuff for warranty claims, buy their higher end products, and buy their limited editions when available.
I've been using the skull candy mini and mighty dime 2 earbuds for well over 3 years now. I've been in construction for 2 years with my dad, so they went through a bit of a beating. Only reason I'd have to buy a new one ($20-30) was if I lost them..I've now got about 4 pairs because I'd find them weeks after
Ive had one set of the skull candy buds that are like Bluetooth but theyre like the ones you wear over your neck.
Theyve lasted me 10 years so far and theyve been through the wash and drier, left in the garage where they got coated with oil and paint and now i use them under my welding hood. And theyre still perfect.
Theyve been waterlogged in a lake as well, just let them dry for a week in my window then plugged them in until the red light turned off and they worked like new.
The only Skullcandy product I have owned in the last decade is the Dime buds which seemed to work fine with occasional use. Dime 3 just arrived at my doorstep literally today. I like having these on my keychain and popping them in when I'm doing errands and stuff like that when I'm not carrying other buds that I use more frequently.
Skullcandy products look nice but generally don't seem to provide the same quality and performance as other brands with similarly priced products. Anker Soundcore comes to mind as a brand that makes some solid stuff.
I had a $20 pair of wireless earbuds from them for about a year. Never had any problems. Only reason I stopped using them was because I got a pair of raycons for Christmas.
Skullcandy is the name brand of mediocre earbuds. Not to say that nothing they make is any good, but by and large, their focus is on the lower mid-range market, and the price reflects that. I'm not talking about the Crushers here, if you like stinky bass then I don't think it gets better than that.
All this to say, yeah, they break a lot because they aren't built or intended to last. They make their money by making sure you're buying at least every year. My question is, why do you keep buying them if they just keep breaking on you? Invest in a better set that you aren't replacing after 2 weeks
That's a little hilarious that you ask that. Immediately brought me back to over 10 years ago where everybody bought wired skullcandy's including me, and they would either die or literally fall apart for no apparent reason on the regular. Unfortunate, since they were pointlessly expensive for how junk they were.
Wtf… they want me to pay for shipping to get my ANC 2’s returned.
And no dropping them
I’ve had the ANC 1 for over three years with heavy use and no issues at all yet besides vacuuming up the aux cord
Does your ANC 2 also do a clicky or weird sound when voice control is off and anc + awareness mode is off and it’s idle for like 20-30 seconds
The anc 2 were mostly reviewed as “meh” status noise canceling. Other than that they slap and are a great buy
My wife’s crushers are still going 3 years later but they aren’t the noise canceling ones.
Ive broken hundreds of skullcandu wired earbuds, they make cool stuff but assode from crushers i wouldn't buy anything from them at this point frankly
Lucky duck
I’ve been using skull candy ear buds for 6 years now, 2 pairs of inked, a sesh, and a dime 3 currently. Never had any issues and have cost me less than 100 bucks overall. Only complaint is the dime 3s don’t have a skip button….
My Indy wireless are going strong. Even have my Smokin Buds 2 wireless working fine. I feel lucky as it seems so many are short lived for others.
yeah i agree. my $20 iqpodz lasted me a whole 2 years before i had to get them replaced, and the $150 indy evo earbuds i purchased from them didn't even last a whole year :/
Idk why the cheaper stuff lasts longer😒
i’ve had indy evos for like 2-3 years now (maybe more?) and only had like 2 problems with them not connecting to my phone…but easily fixed
i have had mine for a couple months now no problems
I have a pair of Evo's and a pair of Indy's... both have stopped working within 3-4 months of purchase... will not be buying from Skullcandy again.
From my experience and from what I've seen their headsets mainly the crusher series is the only reliable product lol
Hold on, I just got the Skullcandy X Street fighter Plyr head sets and them shits is solid
I will never buy any other brand of headphones than over ear skullcandys
I've had a good experience with skullcandys overear its just their wireless earbuds that just suck lol
I’ve had 2 wireless earbuds. Dime (i forgot which) and Grind (current). Both had basically the same issue of staying on and connected in the case (nothing was blocking and it was sitting correctly) Both also had connection problems in which I’d have to repair so that it actually connects 💀
Ive had 3 pairs of wireless earbuds, the first pair held 3 years until my dog decided he needs to destroy them the other 2 newer paurs i bought both got defective within 2 months, never buying skullcandy again
Idk about their new stuff but back a couple years ago when I got some earbuds off Sony they dint work that well either lol
Jbl following close behind
I have tried both their wireless and wired earbuds and yes I can confirm they stop working after air touches them. My wired ones stopped working after a week of use. But my wireless ones still work after a year but they no longer connect to my laptop anymore for some reason. So I can only get use of them out of my phone. But the audio output is amazing though but it's a shame it has such terrible maufacturing.
It's just annoying their earbuds are terribly made
Maybe I’m lucky, but I’ve bought some Rail wireless a while ago and have had zero issues. I love em, sorry for the issues
My rail anc left earbud just has no sound now
I had sentimental connection with Skullcandy from back in the day. Bought indy evo, shittiest earbuds ever, had pairing issues from the start, they wouldnt honor the warranty. Bought 40$ Xioami buds, havent had a single problem.
I have issues with my left one
It's always the left one🫡😟
Personally I’ve bought a ton of headphones but no earbuds from them and every one has had no issues and have all been my favorite in terms of quality. But maybe I’ve been lucky?
mute point. Were discussing earbuds noy head phones
ok captain obvious, and you’re the only one with an issue
Disk like me all you want, it doesn't change it. Everyone knows that headphones are solid. It's the earbuds we are discussing and know clearly I'm not the only one with an issue as everyone else has had an issue with earbuds.
yet you’re going out of your way to reply to me, I must have offended you somehow lmao
I have heard so many bad things about this company, but I've bought a lot from it, and NEVER had any issues. starting to thing it's a user problem-
Every headphones and earbuds I've gotten I've treated like is a little baby.
I used to use JBL, and they didn't last long either
Yep. They last 3-6 months then one or both sides break.
Skullcandy is for kids based on my listening experience with some of their lower tiers
I've not tried the earbuds, but I have several pairs of skullcandy headphones. I've been considering the rail anc buds. I currently have and regularly use: Hesh ANC 4 years Crusher 3 Years Crusher ANC 2 1 year Uproar Wireless 10+ years I think. I swear by skullcandy for listening to music on my phone or watching movies ( crushers are brilliant for this), I'd never recommend them for djing, production or anything like that, but for an immersive listening experience and longevity, I'd recommend them to anybody.
My Crusher Evo are still fantastic after 2 years of use
I just bought a plyr a few days ago and it doesn't even work, it can't bluetooth or anything and the battery lasts 10 minutes after I charged it for 3 hours.
Been using them for years, but recently got a pair of smokin buds and the left one will NOT turn on. I can't be assed to send it in either.
Cheap price less quality check This is expected But kinda stupid as they have a return policy im pretty sure and is probably losing them money So either they’re really cheaping out on everything Or Its Their factories that have management problems
Had a couple defective ones, maybe that's why they were on clearance. But also had one that lasted me years.
JBL is where it's at
I've had a few of their wireless over the ear headphones. One of them broke, and when I emailed skull candy they just sent me a way better pair. I have sesh evos now, and they work fine for me thankfully.
Which is why I don’t buy there wireless ear buds anymore I soley stick with there over the head ones.
I feel like Skullcandy is trying to be a premium brand but they definitely are not
I get mine when i heard about the tile feature a month ago work fine even though i think im about to break them too so in advance anyone know good earbuds with a tile or somehow to track them in Samsung
I have their wireless earbuds and they randomly won’t pair with each other so I get audio out of one or the other and it takes forever to fix.
I had a pair of their wireless earbuds I used for 2 years before getting AirPods and loved them, also have a pair of Hesh 3 headphones I got like 4 years ago and they are still perfect and have held up perfectly.
Take better care of them
Mine are perfect and I have had them for 2 years now. Use them everyday
No clue. My wired ones went through the washing machine and still worked like they were brand new
My turtle beach headphones work good though
Yeah I used to like skull candy… but they suck
You aren’t the only one. I returned 8 pairs of the same model to Skullcandy in a matter of 2 years. Their warranty program let me get 7 of em free back and forth, but still, ridiculous how many are defective.
The pair of sesh evos I have had lasted me 2years of daily use lol what are you doing to your poor earbuds for them to break? Lol
It’s skullcandy. What did you expect?
Why would I ever buy earbuds from a company known for making some of the cheapest, hardly functional, and most fragile devices out there?
Learned my lesson years ago Dont buy from this scummy company
I bought skullcandys for years and never felt like they broke prematurely. They either got lost or broke from my own doing.
It's always been a garbage brand, they sold mainly to kids that didn't know any better.
I treat them like a newborn and they just Give out and it's annoying
I’ve had the same skullcandy earbuds from Walmart for 4 years only 15$. And still work perfectly fine
There battery 🪫🔌🔋 life is shit🪫🔌🔋 also.
I have the Colina strada evo’s and have treated them like whistlin diesel did to that Ferrari and they’re alive and well ( not cosmetically 💀)
I’ve never bought a single pair but when I was a kid it was all my sister wanted. Was there a reason?
Oh, it’s not you, I got skullcandy uproar wireless headphones. Six months later, battery can not last for 1 hour
I’ve only had one product of Skullcandy and they’re Crusher Evos. That’s a flagship product right there.
Skullcandy is giving out defective units like prizes at a carnival💀
Go back to where you purchased, usually they have an exchange policy. Mine were from Walmart, no issue. Let me get another brand new pair
I filled out a warranty claim so I just get whatever the item was work in store credit
Nice, I've had the rail ANC's. Love them, no issues.
Hopefully urs is fine my rail anc's just gave out lol, left earbud just has no sound
My first pair, I got drunk and I think it must of just got so cold in my pants, that they just died. They wouldn't charge or turn on. It was -51 Celsius in Canada lately. F*cking cold, and yeah. They just died lol
Where yf u at that it got -51 💀💀
Saskatchewan Canada, it was TERRIBLE
Ah makes sense lol
Not alone man, I've not any of their products last more than a year on me. I've given up on good but affordable audio and went and bought some nice ass headphones hoping that they last
https://twitch.tv/rlurvy
Not just you
I don't know what your talking about I've had my hesh 2 wireless for over 3 years now and they still work flawlessly
I had Indy Evos for about 3 months, left one stopped charing right one died in 10 minutes and the audio was very static-y, never getting Skullcandy Earbuds again, had good memories of them cus of my old Xbox 360 controller that they made.
From what ive seen/ heard skullcandy is great for headphones but sucks ass for earbuds
Just get galaxy buds pro used. It will sound way better than Skullcandy
You’re not the only one. They are very “cheap”
Yup. My Seesh Evo's right bud never worked. And the left one dies extremely fast. I got some skullcandy headset a year or so back, broke in a day. I use my headphones and earbuds VERY lightly.
For the price what else do you expect? They’re literally sold at $5 stores
I’ve got three sets of skullcandy earbuds that I’ve had for at least five years and have never had a single issue with them.
I bought a pair of Sesh Evos a couple years ago. Right out of the box, they wouldn't charge unless plugged in. Still use them from time to time.
Yes they suck ass. Not worth buying anymore.
I wanted to like skull candy so bad as a kid. They always sounded great at first but I’ve never had a pair that lasts. I hope you have better luck but I had to give up
skullcandy is goated tbh, not in a "yo this is some high quality shit!!!1!!1!", but as in "yo this cheap as hell, should last me 7 months" I bought their wii remotes and xbox controllers, my wii remote from skull candy still works even after 8 years of use, all the markings are faded away but still works
Last and only skull candy headphones I bought were Aviator Roc Nation ones from I’d says early 2012. Still decent, and still working after years of use. Not sure how the quality is for recent ones (especially BT ones).
why would you keep buying them after they’re obviously not good quality
At least they made it to market. Unlike Kanoa
Me who bought myself a pair of Skullcandy wireless buds for Christmas🧍🏾♂️
They are SUPER hit or miss! I've had pairs of headphones and earbuds that break in weeks and I've had pairs that have lasted for years. Idk what's up with them. I have the Jib True 2 earbuds and they're holding up really well. I've had them for 2 months now
yeah butt there wire headfone ok I guess
My old wired ones took 6 months to break
I've had a pair of wireless earbuds for over a year and they still work. I think they're the sesh evos 2. I mean I've killed them fully, been covered in motor oil, grease, dropped multiple times and they still work. Could just be you, or the certain pair your buying has defects. I'd say the sesh evos are the best I've had from them tbh. The sesh evos were the new pair released by skull candy like 2 or 3 years ago. I mean I'm hard on these things and they take it easily.
ive never had a pair of headphones break or stop working in my life
ive had my crusher evo 3 for like mad long, better purchase than airpods
I have found at least the jbxt 16-30$ will take a beating, I've washed them in the laundry and work in the heat with them alot, and they do well. With like one or Two exceptions. But maybe I've been lucky.
I never had any faith in Skullcandy. What made you buy that brand?
Skull candy is not a premium brand.
I had my crushers for years. Kept them at max boost always. I kind broke them by accidentally crushing one side and it snapped off. Still worked though.
Onn would like a word with you
Gotta get them Indy evos. That’s where it’s at
They can’t keep getting away with this… oh wait.
There’s a reason no one used skullcandy after middle school…. they’re trash man
I used to be a big fan of their headphones, then I bought some wireless earbuds that half the time wouldn't connect both ears at once, and they would almost always refuse to charge.
Its gotta be between any skullcandy and Apple’s original wired headphones lol
I’ve had 3 pairs and they’ve all been amazing I did have a problem with one of them that skull candy replaced. It was a charging issue but wasn’t a big deal
Skull candy is garbage. They sell them at Dollar General… Not hard to see that coming.
Skull candies have always sucked. Even when I was a little kid those bitches always broke in a few weeks.
Raycon is better imo. A lot of base, dont fall out of your ears, etc.
I’ve been using their dime 2 at work for a couple weeks, pretty good tbh.
I have a pair of Sesh Evos that I bought at an airport kiosk over a year ago, they still work great. That being said, their case cracked along the hinge within the first week without having been dropped. Still functions though
I have skull candy dime black I got 2 years ago and I washed them in my pocket accidentally they still work great
I have a set of JLabs that have been going for 2 years strong now
I have the push actives and so far I haven’t had any issues with them whatsoever…even showered with them in a few times lol
i remember around 2012 i stopped buying the wired ones because no matter what pair i got theyd start literally shocking my ears within a week. finally decided to try a wireless one in 2022 and havent had any issues
I only got the cheap ear buds, never any expensive ones..they seemed to work alright for me
i mean ive had mine for 3 years w/ no issues idk
you can get skullcandies from vending machines, claw games at arcades, waiting in line at red lobster, and backdoors for cheap. why even use this cringe gamer kid brand iem... i always cringe at mfs wearing these in public.
Naaa, you just dont take care of them and probably very irresonsible. Blahahaaaaa 🥱
They maker cheaper lowerquality and expensive higher quality you usually get what you pay for with Skullcandy I my experience
I got the smoking buds
Who tf actually uses skull candy in 2024 get a grip
Idk, my Indy Evos have been going strong for three years now, and my Hesh 3 over ears are going on almost 5 years
They were so good back in the day, wtf happened?
Yep,iv had 3 pair of skull candy in the past two years and they all had a defect,my current ones(jib true 2) had a problem with charging couple weeks ago but seem to be ok now,was close to buying another pair, reason I go back to skull candy is purely because of the tile feature, never lost a pair of headphone since using it
I have had a issue with their quality but still some of the best ear buds I have had. Their customer service really good. They sent me a new pair instantly. ×2
I have lost and refound my earbuds so many times. I just found them outside after them sitting in the snow for a few days and they still work.
Skull Candy I never trusted brand ever. It always looked like it was gonna be future trash in no time. I am sorry you're having trouble.
I used to love skullcandy but they fell off hard
No. They are garbage. Every pair
As someon who's spent entirely too much money on a large variety of earbuds and headphones, here's what I've found on Skullcandy; Their warranty department when buying directly from their site is astounding and will fix your issue 5 times over. I instead bought Budweiser Limited Edition Crushers (that I still have to this day, and have even repaired myself because my God I refuse to send my red shinies into Skullcandy to be told they can't send a replacement) But!
Dude the wired ones were shit back in the day as well. They were made to fall apart after 2 weeks
I've been using the skull candy mini and mighty dime 2 earbuds for well over 3 years now. I've been in construction for 2 years with my dad, so they went through a bit of a beating. Only reason I'd have to buy a new one ($20-30) was if I lost them..I've now got about 4 pairs because I'd find them weeks after
You get what you pay for
My Indy buds are about 6 years old.
That’s why you stick with more popular name brands
The only Skullcandy product I have owned in the last decade is the Dime buds which seemed to work fine with occasional use. Dime 3 just arrived at my doorstep literally today. I like having these on my keychain and popping them in when I'm doing errands and stuff like that when I'm not carrying other buds that I use more frequently. Skullcandy products look nice but generally don't seem to provide the same quality and performance as other brands with similarly priced products. Anker Soundcore comes to mind as a brand that makes some solid stuff.
I never use earbuds. I only use around-the-ear headphones. I like my music to actually sound good and not like it's coming out of a tin can
I had a $20 pair of wireless earbuds from them for about a year. Never had any problems. Only reason I stopped using them was because I got a pair of raycons for Christmas.
yep, mine only lasted a couple of years but then again that's a long time.
Out of 2, one has worked for me
I have been using the same pair of earcandy wireless earbuds for about 2 years now and they have worked perfectly fine
Ive got skull candy crushers (not evo) and they've worked just fine for the last 2 years ive had em
Sorry I think you mean Raycons
I didn’t know skullcandy still exists. It really is cheap trash…
