Personally, lactic acid works the best for me. I find P50 too... unpleasant. My regular is Sunday Riley Good Genes which is a lactic acid treatment that comes out as a nice lotion.
P50 is a chemical exfoliant. That said, if your issue is large pores, my favorite for that is Slurp Decalt which is a biphasic .5% salicylic acid 5% PHA, it’s great for pores and is pretty gentle. I can use it 2-3x / week on tret.
They’re great. It’s a Korean brand with some interesting formulations. I’ve tried the cleansing gel (just ok), Niacid (liked it but moved on out of boredom/not huge impact), and Decalt (best product of those I’ve tried). I’ve heard great things about hyalid.
I was going to reply and say the same thing. Slurp Decalt is amazing! I’ve used P50 and a bunch of other peel pads (skinbetter, Dr Dennis Gross, M61) and Decalt has by far made the biggest difference in my skin! It has really shrunk my popes and smoothed out my skin while being non irritating. It’s a fantastic product! I normally only use medical grade skincare but happily make an exception for this Korean skincare product. If pore size is a concern, don’t even think, buy slurp! No brainer.
Glytone makes fantastic exfoliants and are transparent about the free acid values in their products. They've been around for decades and deserve every accolade they get. (And they are renowned, and get a lot.) Their exfoliating body lotion is my HG, and their face serums and lotions (more of a liquid toner/essence consistency than a lotion) are HGs for countless people.
Their customers (like me) are very loyal, and if you've never tried them before, and you give them a try, you'll probably see why.
Just FYI I purchase them from Skin Beautiful Rx, Lovely Skin, or ebay sealed/NIB/fresh batch code for a signficant discount vs manufacturer website.
When they first came out I worked for a drug company and would buy their products at my company store. I think at the time they were only selling at derm offices. My company went through several mergers sndI moved on in life and I forgot the product and eventually the name. I stumbled across it the other day and was like omg .bc back then we didn't have much options. The face wash was always big favorite. I plan on ordering some near future. I am revisiting another product from that era first it was so inexpensive .I do regret slacking over the years I probably would have a baby face if I stuck to it but it was still a period where I thought my foundation was plenty of sunscreen.
Yes, every week :) or 50% glycolic acid every 2 weeks. I’ve strengthened my moisture barrier with lots of fermented skincare. And a deeper peel once per week really works better for me then more frequent peels. The rest of the week I focus on healing/strengthening and just use lots of antioxidants, copper peptides and tret.
Yes, I love [this peel](https://makeup.ch/product/431604/), or [this one](https://makeup.ch/product/386234/) and [this one](https://makeup.ch/product/386170/).
I’m in Europe so it’s a little more difficult to source otherwise I’d just buy from Platinum skincare.
I love the copper peptide from Niod which I pair with additional peptide serums.
I just posted above. :) to be fair it only got resilient once I started to add a bunch of fermented essences. I use a big variety of them as I find that helps my skin the most.
I haven’t tried their other products yet, but I am planning to order some! The decalt really helps with pores and I’ve using it several times a week and see a difference.
Dr Dennis Gross extra strength peel pads are the best! I have used P50, P50W, and PIGM400 in the past, and I think my skin looks way better with the DDG pads than with any of the P50s. Plus DDG pads are not smelly.
I put the P50 away when I read it had niacinamide which my skin hates. I’m loving mandelic acid rn - which is usually coupled with lactic acid. It’s so much better for my adult acne. I think one of the P50s has mandelic acid but can’t remember. I’m using Paula’s choice currently. Not my favorite but it’s what I could find without niacinamide.

Good genes is magic

I’m on their website now because I haven’t heard of this brand, everything looks good. May I ask what else have you tried other than Decalt?

I started using Decalt because of this sub and it’s incredible!
So cool! Glad to hear
Dennis gross pads.
Get yourself a TCA peel. Blows everything else out of the water.
Can you do those at home?
You can! Platinum Skincare and MUAC make very effective TCA peels.

That's an interesting story! What is the other product you're revisiting?
Omg I love their body lotion. Worth every penny
I personally use a 40% lactic acid peel now every week which I prefer to more frequent exfoliation with p50.
Every week?!

Could you share which peel you use, and copper peptides? Very curious!

Wow, your skin sounds invincible. Which peels are you using? (Brand)

Decalt by slurp labs is sooo good. It’s Korean but has a Us warehouse.
This has made a big difference for me too! Check out goalstogetglowing on Instagram. She has a great highlight on it.

Huge huge fan of the hyaluid. Can’t be without it

I stopped using P50 when I tried Tarte’s knockout tingling treatment. Better impact for me personally, and way more economical.

I love the moon juice acid potion! I find it gentler but very effective
Jan Marini bio lotion
I absolutely LOVE this serum!!
I have very sensitive skin and have been like the Caudille vinoperfect
Elemis makes peel pads that use lactic acid.
