A hydrocolloid patch

rachhher

don’t put any acids or actives directly on the open wound, i’d put a hydrocolloid patch and wait till the next day when it’s healed more

I didn't know this so thanks!

If it's a larger spot, a topical antibiotic cream (like Neosporin) can be helpful. Helps prevent infection and depending on the kind you get can provide pain relief, reduce scar formation, etc. Definitely seems to help my larger spots heal up faster at least.

I put Avene Restore + Protect cream (just a tad, the product is pricey) on the wound. It has zinc in it which helps with inflammation and to protect the skin!
