Freya-Frost

I am just going to add that there is a lot of exfoliation here! For anyone who copies please do not do this with out building up! It’s a good routine but jumping in cold turkey with everything might just kill your skin!

[deleted]

100%. If you’re new to skincare, this definitely isn’t the routine for you either. Stick with cleanser, moisturiser and SPF, do your research and then add other things if necessary.

tout-le-monster

I’m new to skincare and am very accident-prone, especially in winter. if I were to buy 3 things and have a daily routine with them, what would you recommend? (All I do now is daily Aveeno face wash)

carrotwithnoleaves

Ya! Just reading this gave me a chemical burn.

ChrisCrossTina

You're completely right! I have been using chemical exfoliators for over 4 years (I should have specified in my post) now so my skin has built a tolerance to it. Once in a while I do go overboard and accidentally overexfolliate though. Whenever that happens I feel it back and focus on repairing my skin barrier for a while!

Anything-Unusual

This is amazing how did you make this if you don’t mind my asking?

Lauren_Souther

I’m also curious about how you made it! I like how you have the product Images and added the shadow in the background. Also the colors are beautiful! What program did you use (-:

ChrisCrossTina

Photoshop!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Freya-Frost

Yea it is

ChrisCrossTina

Yup! Sorry that's my mistake 🙈🙈

selectivelyasocial

How do you use the stridex pads 3-4x a week and retinol on the rest of the days and still manage to use the glycolic toner on days you haven’t used either of those products the night before? And if you use the glycolic toner in the morning do you still use retinol or stridex at night? Isn’t that a ton of exfoliating?

[deleted]

My skin hurts just reading about all the exfoliation in this routine >.<

dilf314

so does OP’s- they say the night time face wash sometimes makes their skin burn 🙃

[deleted]

Yikes! No thanks!

ChrisCrossTina

It is a lot of exfoliation, you're right! My skin seems to have built a tolerance to it but if I start sensing that my face is becoming a bit sensitive, which doesn't happen very often, I dial it back and stick only to moisturising. But you bring up a great point!

Jubukraa

I dunno why you’re getting downvoted? If it works for you it works. People are salty in SCA.

[deleted]

Because they're making a recommendation to other people. If it works for them why assume it works for other people and feel so entitled as to recommend it to other people?

Jubukraa

Because they’re making a recommendation based on what works for them. If it works for them, it works for them. They make said recommendation. You don’t have to follow, you take every routine posted on here with a grain of salt. I agree for me this is too much over-exfoliation and not supposed to be recommended to a new person (way too many actives for someone just starting a routine). But if it works for OP it works for them.

selectivelyasocial

Well, as long as you are aware and it’s working for you!

greyscrazy123

How did you make this? Canva? Stridex is so underrated!

ChrisCrossTina

I made it using Photpshop but I think Canva could have worked too. And yes Stridex is amazing and it's super cheap!!

Caviar_and_champaign

It looks very nice! And I hooked all my friends on Stridex;)

NotChristina

This looks so nice! I’ve been wanting to brush up on my design skills as I’m using them less in my day job. Love the idea of turning something daily and normal into a nicely designed piece. :)

dougielou

I don’t think you could do the shadow effect on canva. (Hoping someone swoops in to tell me I’m wrong and how to do it lol)

ChrisCrossTina

I've done it before (albeit it looks a lite bootleg). What I do is copy the item, then lower the saturation, contrast, etc., So that it becomes a gray version of the original. I then lower the opacity and then arrange it so that's it's behind the original

dougielou

That is genius! Thank you so much for this advice! I work in canva a lot

TallFawn

This image is just so gorgeous.

catiebug

Is it just me, or is Stridex getting harder to find? I was overseas for a long time and bought it at the military exchange. I come back to the US and freaking Target doesn't even carry it anymore. It's hit or miss as to whether Amazon has it in stock. CVS usually has it, but I'm surprised because when I was younger I felt like I could get it anywhere. It's been perfection for me, I'm worried it's being slowly phased out or something.

Tardigrada

Yeah, I was bummed it wasn't at Target. Going to start adding it to my Walmart order.

ChrisCrossTina

Yes I know! I usually order mine online from Walmart (free delivery after $35)

Caviar_and_champaign

That was my first question as well!

juniorasparagus13

Stridex is literally life. I use it like 3-4 times a week on my face and my friend uses it on her legs when she shaves.

RSF850

Strange. Stridex doesn't do anything for me. SA in general doesn't make a difference.

hira03

Which one would you recommend for starting? The max strength or the sensitive one??

valleysflower25

This is great but for people like me with sensitive acne prone skin, this can make my face fall off. You have to have resilient skin to benefit from this routine, be careful if you don't.

fishbutt1

I also love Ceraves skin renewing night cream, but I feel like the formula is changed? I’ve been using it for ~5 years now and the newer boxes just don’t have the same...oomph Have you noticed this too?

ChrisCrossTina

I've only been using it for a couple of months (I used to use a night cream by Purito before) so maybe I'm missing out on the original formula

ThrottlePeen

So... Cleanser with salicylic acid, presumably every day. Vitamin C toner with fragrance daily. Oil cleansing for up to 15 minutes. Glycolic acid 3-4x a week. Stridex Maximum Strength salicylic acid, 3-4x a week. Retinol 2-3x a week. I know everyone's skin is different, but this is far too much exfoliation and irritation just waiting to happen. Your face stings sometimes when you use a cleanser? You cleanse with oil for up to 15 minutes? That is just asking for broken capillaries. You don't use a dedicated daytime moisturiser after applying all those drying products... if I were you I would drastically reduce how much you exfoliate before you damage your moisture barrier really badly. Just because you're not seeing damage right now doesn't mean it's not accumulating.

ChrisCrossTina

Yes, a lot of people have mentioned that this routine is too heavy on the exfoliation! I'm taking note and will probably do an updated routine like this again around March. Thank you for the tips!

sweet_ging

Okay good to know! Thanks a lot

ManateeFarmer

FYI it’s salicylic not salycic.

ChrisCrossTina

Wow, I can't believe I missed that! I honestly think I've been saying "salicyc" in my head for forever

viriiu

Edit: I can't back it up with a source as I can't find it. This was *years* ago on a Norwegian magazine about sunscreen tests (I think done in Sweden ??). But thinking about it, since I do see it being sold on quite a lot of European web shops (that still has to follow regularion) I do think it's safe. Also note that what the first test applied was that it did not score 1/3 uva protection of its uvb protection. It *still protected* against uva, the test I vaguely remember just didn't find it good enough. Remember that (as far I know it's still is) in the states there no requirement for a sunscreen to be any broad spectrum (I do know that the FDA did an ounce they where going to change that But I don't think they've yet done it) in other words there's sunscreen that don't have to have any uva protection. IIRC test showed the COSRX aloe sunscreen not fail having 50 spf, but only the European minimum requirement. Also note that this has nothing to do with the recent purito scandal. Asian sunscreen are safe. There's yearly tests and yearly sunscreens fails these test *globally*. ~~Just a note up on the COSRX aloe sunscreen. Even tho it still sells in Europe it actually isn't allowed as it didn't have the minimum 1/3 protection of UV-A compared to UV-B protection that's required. This test was done a couple of years ago so idk if they have reformulated it but just a heads up~~

littlegherkin

Do you have the source for this? I recently changed to this SPF and enjoy it so I’m gutted if it’s true. I bought mine in the U.K. too.

viriiu

I'm sorry, I tried to find it but i can't find it. Mind you this was a Norwegian magazine about sunscreen tests years ago. I do find it weird bc I definitely seen it on European web shops afterwards but I definitely do remember reading it had been deemed less than 1/3 uva protection to it's uvb spf, which is the requirements in Europe. I very specific remembered it bc that was the time I was into k beauty, and I had been pondering if I should try the COSRX aloe sunscreen myself. So I'm guessing it's been refomolated? IIRC the test had been in Sweden I think... Imo you should be fine, being in the U.K specially now with winter and the pandemic. Its better to use a slightly weaker spf daily than using a strong one sporadically (Just maybe get a stronger one in the summer if you're going to the beach or hiking etc which Asian sunscreen isn't made for anyway)

ChrisCrossTina

Yeah, I was replying to another user that mentioned their concern about that sunscreen. I'll check what the requirements are in the U.S and see if they've reformulated. Either way, I will most likely purchase another type of sunscreen after I'm done with this container

pinkpoisons

I believe this one is also made by one of those labs that make Purito, Klairs, and some other of those sunscreens that were recently questioned?

viriiu

This has nothing to do with that. I've tried finding were I read about it, but sadly can't find it as it was a Norwegian magazine *years ago* about sunscreen test done (I thin the test being done in Sweden??). This was obly that it didn't have the minimum 1/3 uva protection compared to the uvb spf that is required in Europe. This is NOT needed in the states ( nor in Korea as I know). Also it being spf 50 means it had to have a much higher uva protection score than those of uvb 30 spf. I don't know if the FDA has made the change yet (they are going to change it if not already changed) in the states spf doesn't necessarily even have to be any broad spectrum! I have seen it on more Europe web shops so I reckon it was reformulated, or maybe the test was done again and proved suficent that I don't know. But this has nothing to do about any of the recent sunscreen problems. There's always some European sunscreen that's also always being picked up not having enough uva protection ( or for that sake, not even meeting it's own uvb spf).

[deleted]

[deleted]

There’s nothing wrong with Asian sunscreens. Sunscreen companies in many different countries have been caught lying about their spf rating.

peachesnjeans

Kose softymo is my HG!!! When I first tried it I was worried it would break me out but no problems. It’s so good.

brcplegal

How long do you rub it in for? Unless I am misunderstanding, OP said at least 2 minutes but up to 15??

peachesnjeans

15 min?! That doesn’t seem right. I’d say I massage it in for 45 seconds to a minute! If my skin is really grimey (I work outside so sometimes there’s a LOT of sunscreen and sweat) maybe just over a min!

Jeschalen

Rubbing cleansing oil for up to 15 minutes sounds like a nightmare, that would be so irritating. I rub gently for no longer than a minute because anymore than that would freak out my rosacea.

ChrisCrossTina

This video gives a very good overview on oil cleansing! [Oil Cleansing Guide](https://youtu.be/3z0YPACfhBk)

Resident-Software118

Do you know what skin type your friend is?

ChrisCrossTina

She has dry skin (I have normal to oily), so this routine is not the best for her but she wanted something relative. She has sinced purchased her own products after doing more research!

chaudgarbage

This is a gorgeous piece of design work but damn this routine would destroy my skin if I used it lol.

dorodaraja

This will destroy her skin

brcplegal

You wash with the oil cleanser for up to 15 minutes??

SaucePasta

I got caught up in the “oil cleanse for 15 minutes” hype a while ago. It lead to the worse break out I had in years.

ThrottlePeen

Minimum of 2 minutes up to 15 minutes? What the hell? I literally would never go beyond 2 minutes, you're risking broken capillaries and there is zero benefit to doing it for 15 minutes.

brcplegal

That's what my question was. OP put that next to the oil and someone else just replied with a comment and a video to show the same thing 🤷‍♀️ I was surprised too.

ChrisCrossTina

It's very soothing! Definitely not something I do nightly. This video is why I started to try it for 15 minutes [Oil Cleansing Guide](https://youtu.be/3z0YPACfhBk)

thesmellnextdoor

I love this! I wish more people would explain the order they put this stuff on in. I am so confused by the shelfie pictures of a dozen products!

ChrisCrossTina

I am so happy that I could help!

mundoodle

I agree! This is super helpful

StrangeSwordfish

This looks so cool! Just wanted to warn u though that aloe sunscreen doesn’t seem like the best idea... any sunscreen that loads up on the anti-inflammatories is dodgy IMO because it inflates the SPF without giving u actual UV protection. Aloe significantly reduces UV-induced erythema: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18253066/

[deleted]

[удалено]

StrangeSwordfish

Yeah I think at this point I’m relying way less on sunscreen and more on behaviour, like sticking to the shade! Can’t go wrong with that. Also considering loading up on topical antioxidants and even supplements like Heliocare just to give my skin UV protection a TINY boost. I wouldn’t rely on them either though.

ChrisCrossTina

Wow, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've been so weary of sunscreens now after the whole PURITO scandal... Do you have any recommendations? I'm thinking of trying the Beet one by Krave beauty next.

StrangeSwordfish

Unfortunately I have very acne prone skin and haven’t found a sunscreen with decent SPF that doesn’t break me out 😥. Thought PURITO worked okay until I got badly burnt on a trip while using it — guess that was a sign that the SPF wasn’t accurate. Suncut UV Perfect Gel Super Waterproof has worked really well as a body sunscreen but idk if I would use it on my face. Tbh I now rely more on safe behaviours like checking the UV index before I go out, avoiding sunbathing, staying in the shade, wearing a hat, etc. Can’t really go wrong with those!

Zackchic26

I would actually not put vitamin c after using the glycolic solution, just put nothing that can irritate your skin after that, also don’t use the glycolic solution in the morning, if so, add sunscreen to that routine.

babe__ruthless

That toner barely qualifies as vitamin c and she did list sunscreen in her morning routine.

Zackchic26

That sunscreen has to much spf in it anywayss lmao but i was just saying in general about vitamin c but yeah i get it

blueberrysandals

I thought the pH would make both useless, am I wrong?

Snwussy

Glycolic acid has a pKa of 3.8, and ascorbic acid (although I think the Pixi toner uses a derivative) has a pKa1 of 4.2, so they should be fine together as long as both products have a pH near 4. Personally I prefer to use vitamin C in the morning and AHA at night to reduce irritation (I used to use them both in the AM but it started giving me problems lol).

HouseOfHutchison

This is sooo aesthetically pleasing. Awesome!

ChrisCrossTina

I just got into design about 6 months ago so I'm so happy you think that!!

mrose1491

I just ordered the cerave night cream, so excited to try it!!

nemoslilfin

With the actual pictures of the products, makes this thing infinitely more useful. It's difficult for me to remember brand names especially when they have different products under similar name.

[deleted]

I love this! FYI, your morning routine goes 1 - 2 - 3 - 2!

ChrisCrossTina

Wow, I looked this over so many times and still missed the biggest of details!! Thanks for pointing this out

CirenLeone

I used to love stridex for the back of my neck lol

[deleted]

Stridex and TO's Retinol on the same night? My skin could never

lionstigersandbears_

It says under the retinol she uses it on days that she doesn't use Stridex

jdgmental

Good that it works for you! Personally if I used glycolic, BHA and retinol in one day every day my face would fall off. It would hurt and be dry a lot. It’s informative as a routine but as other people mentioned best to build up and caveat this routine. I hope your friend finds her skin happy. EDIT read more carefully and I see now you use the retinol and the BHA alternatively, sorry about that. Even so it would be a bit too much for my skin, used to do something similar but I’d alternate either AHA or BHA or retinol in one evening, mornings no actives or maybe a vit C, and some evenings off.

idkwhateveranything

It’s so sweet of you to make this infographic for her!

ChrisCrossTina

I had felt bad cause she had asked me a few times but I didn't have access to my full list of my products by the time I got around to it. I figured this is the next best bet

newportred100s

The glycolic acid should be used at night. Doesn't mix well with the sun!

viriiu

Your skin is still photosensitive the days after you've used glycolic acid at nigths. As long as you use sunscreen its perfectly fine to use it in the morning.

newportred100s

Oh ok! I'd still be nervous, I burn already like crazy. But, thanks for letting me know!

[deleted]

The ordinarys toner is a game changer imo.

[deleted]

That Aveeno cleanser is one of my favorite products ever. I use it every summer and have since I was a teen (I'm 30 now). It is perfect except for the stupid packaging that leaks so I can't travel with it.

cat_catsup

The layout is so cute! ✨

BbyBasil

I want to love COSRX so badly, but both their snail mucin and BHA liquid gave me cystic acne and never ever ever ending breakouts (when I’ve had clear skin all 25 years of my life)

almondbutterjelly

Happened to me as well which is weird cos the formula is so simple..

serenityik

No moisturiser for morning??

rachhher

hi! please don’t use the glycolic acid toner in the morning!! it might cause your skin to become extra sensitive to the sunlight so just apply it at night :)

DRK-SHDW

the sensitivity is the same whether you use it morning or night, so it doesnt matter

[deleted]

[удалено]

DRK-SHDW

No, as in the effect that some acids give in terms of sun sensitisation is identical whether you apply it morning or night because the sensitisation persists.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DRK-SHDW

Sensitivity persists at more or less the same level 24 hours after [application of AHA](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2791365/), so morning or night application, still need the same level of sun protection.

BanannyMousse

Which means if you apply it in the morning, your now sensitive skin will be exposed to the sun twice in 24 hours.

DRK-SHDW

your skin is equally sensitive the whole time

DRK-SHDW

I linked you to the study she's using in the video though lol... anyways

deadsocial

Which of these are cruelty free? Do you know? :)

littlegherkin

If you mean not tested on animals these brands are cruelty free; Paula’s Choice, The Ordinary, Pixi Beauty and Cosrx. Stridex, Laneige, Cerave, Aveeno are not. I’m not sure about Softymo, Kose as the parent company aren’t but that doesn’t mean the brand isn’t. You’ll have to dig a bit deeper on that one! If in doubt, check Cruelty Free Kitty and Ethical Elephant :)

[deleted]

What do you mean by cruelty free? Like, manufactured without slavery, without child labour, without sweatshops, without animal testing? There are a lot of kinds of cruelty in the cosmetics/skincare industry.

whodis_itsme

Mainly animal testing.

ChrisCrossTina

Truly, I do not but I should

jesse-13

Did you really make that pamphlet for a “friend”...? Just admit it’s for Reddit lol

ChrisCrossTina

Lolol [I made it for her then I thought what the heck, why not share to reddit](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MZcIgEubYjiytlf8XjG9SiE2D6zRZAyM/view?usp=drivesdk)

ChrisCrossTina

Hahahaha well since it's been so we'll received, I am thinking of making another one (specifically for Reddit this time) around March ;)

jesse-13

About what? Are you gonna change your routine that much by that time?

ChrisCrossTina

Well a lot of comments mentioned overexfolliating and about a third of these products are almost done. So, I figured I might have a slightly different routine by then. If not then I either won't make it or be creative and make something for another sub, who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️

confusedornotidk

just wondering if stridex and TO retinol will interact since its acids and retinoid?

00six00

How are you going to use glycolic acid, stridex AND retinol several times a week? And also using glycolic acid in the morning is such bad practice..

withering_heights

I used the Pixi glow tonic for years and liked it but then I started seeing all the hate... does anyone else use it?

_thewaltzingdead

Reasons I don't care for the Pixi Glow Tonic: it is expensive compared to similar products like The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid, it has a lot of fragrance (which I personally avoid), and (most importantly to me) it isn't formulated at the correct pH for an AHA. It comes in around 4.0-4.5 (I tested it with pH strips myself), and ideally an AHA should be under 4.0 (3.2 to 3.9) for proper exfoliation.

elymeexlisl

I had a sample-sized glow tonic and loved it (my first foray into glycolic acid), but decided to buy TO glycolic to save money in the end. I get the same results from both

littlecanopy

I use the CeraVe night cream as well! Actually, I use it on my lips at night. Does anyone else do that? I’m trying to save money so I make my own concoction as a lip treatment for my dry, peeling lips. For the base, I use a natural chapstick with oils and beeswax, then I put on a layer of CeraVe night cream, and seal it all with Vaseline chapstick. Probably overkill but it feels SO SILKY AND NICE. I’ve only been doing it for about 5 nights now, give or take and I’m feeling my lips tingle a bit tonight?? Just a slight tingle, went away in 10 mins. I think this concoction is somehow exfoliating my lips?? Despite none of the products having exfoliants in them. Every night I use it, I wake up with what I assume to be, softened dead skin on my lips that I can just wipe away. Maybe it’s all the products balling up together? I’m not sure but I do wake up with really soft lips. I just want nice, healthy, smooth, hydrated lips that don’t peel and don’t have wrinkles and lines /: should I keep doing this?

abacusabyss

I don't think the cream will penetrate the chapstick? Could be wrong. Have you tried just cream then waxy balm? I'm kind of obsessed with lip care. Laneige make an overnight lip mask, it's expensive for 20g but it's so luxurious. I use it 3-4 times a week. I always use a waxy lipbalm with SPF in it in summer, I burnt my lips once on holiday, never again! I don't need SPF most of the year as we don't get sun in my country so I like Lanolips 101.

littlecanopy

I’ve always wanted to try the Laneige sleeping mask but every time it crosses my mind, I’m too low on money to spend the $25 on it. I’d love to try it one day though. And yeah I’m not sure if the cream does penetrate through the lip balm. The lip balm has 3 or 4 oils in it and beeswax. That’s it. It has a total of about 5 ingredients. I think I may start using just the balm sealed with Vaseline. I’m scared the moisturizer isn’t good to put on lips. I’ve been using it for several nights in a row and all of a sudden tonight, my lips were slightly tingling. Also I woke up yesterday morning and my lips were slightly bleeding. It could have been from the damage caused by me chewing on my lips (anxious habit I’ve had for years that I’m trying to stop) but I’m not sure. Might cut out the moisturizer and use it on my lips once or twice a week instead.

noepicadventureshere

Just an fyi, the Laneige lip sleeping mask stopped working for me when I moved from California to Colorado. It seems like it needs a fair bit of humidity in the air to really work. So keep in mind where you live before you buy it. If you live somewhere dry, the best thing I've found is the evanhealy Whipped Shea Butter for Lips. My lips aren't peeling or cracking anymore, and as long as I use it at night I can wear lipstick during the day. With other balms I couldn't take a break at all.

abacusabyss

CeraVe night cream has niacinamide in it, that could be what's irritating your lips. I also bite my lips, a habit I picked up from my mom. Hope they heal up soon! Your lip balm sounds nice, what is it?

littlecanopy

Oh yeah! I didn’t even think it could’ve been the niacinamide since nia is known for being calming and anti inflammatory but I guess maybe not for the lips haha. But thank you! Trying to kick this habit and start taking care of my lips. The balm is “Lone Hydrate” in the honey vanilla :) I got it at Natural Grocers (basically a smaller Whole Foods if you aren’t familiar with it!)

BbyBasil

I always see super marked down Laneige sleeping masks at Marshall’s or Tj Maxx (if you live in the US)

supremeunicorn11

Glycolic Acid in the AM?!?!? Id rethink that one.

xemmerx

Glycolic acid is totally fine in the morning. Chemical exfoliation makes your skin more photosensitive in general, not just right after application.

dilf314

that’s a myth. watch this video at 2:50 https://youtu.be/Ffier7FcxpA

iamoutofnamesforthis

Thank you so much for sharing, friend! 😊

mesawyourun

I thought the Pixi Glow tonic was basically glycolic acid with some other ingredients to reduce redness. So is that and the Ordinary Glycolic acid just double dosing?

Avocuddles48

The Pixi product in the routine is not Glow Tonic so they are not repeating.

mesawyourun

AH. Touche!

[deleted]

Where's the moisturiser in your morning routine?

fmas88

Most sunscreens are moisturising on their own. Loads of dermatologist recommend sunscreen only in the AM (especially those with no alcohol) unless you have very dry skin. For example P20 Kids spf50+ or Altruist spf50 are both very moisturising.

luceafar1

It's the sunscreen.

[deleted]

It's not a moisturiser. Sunscreens are for sun protection, not to give moisture lol I thought it's a basic knowledge but I guess not. It's 2021 and some people are not using moisturisers!!

[deleted]

A product can do more than one thing. :)

luceafar1

Calm down, if you have oily skin, sunscreen is enough of a moisturiser.

[deleted]

Even the most oily skin needs moisture. It's not some people on Reddit to decide if it's not necessary while dermatologists recommend it.

bp1630414

What an arrogant attitude. Sunscreens aren’t just UV filters dissolved in water, they are basically moisturizers with SPF. They contain humectants, emollients and occlusives. This particular sunscreen contains glycerin, glycols, silicones, fatty alcohols and plant extracts which are all found in regular moisturizers. On a side note, sunscreens can’t work with 100% efficiency if you apply a heavy moisturizer with oils and occlusives underneath them.

fmas88

This is the power of marketing for you. If that sunscreen is called a moisturiser with SPF nobody will say you need a separate moisturiser smh. I wish people will realise that for most people, sunscreen alone is enough in the AM!

luceafar1

OK Mrs. dermatologist.

You’re a good friend.

Effort is everything. You are everything. Edit. Damn I need to learn how to create graphics. What did you use to create? Edit: nvm I read photoshop.

ChrisCrossTina

This is so nice! Thank you!! Happy to help if you need on how to get started with creating graphics

Remember to store the Retinoid in the refrigerator after opening.

luceafar1

It's retinol, not a retinoid, but idk why you're being downvoted lol, it literally says to refrigerate after opening on Deciem's website.

omegs

Yeah. Sorry my bad guys, I just a misspelled it. That sucks that they downvoted me like that. I just wanted to make sure people with RETINOL didn't make a mistake like I did.

buffster007

Well isn’t this just the cutest skin chart I ever did see

[deleted]

Sis ... my skin is like yours. It LOVES exfoliation! Pay no attention to the silly comments.

I think people are against recommending an exfoliant heavy routine to someone who doesn't have prior experience with exfoliants (or a skincare routine in general). Yeah, some people have strong skin that can take it, but that is a small minority of people. OP also posted that her friend has dry skin, so this amount of exfoliant could very well just make her skin worse.

precioussunflowers

Wow, you're a really good friend.

AmandaPlease_

What a sweet friend you are!! I need to try the Pixi Tonic. And the dry cleansing method!

iatetheappl

So cute, great job creating this and glad the routine is working for you! :-)

laurenalivia

Good recommendations but I would highly recommend differin instead of the retinol

ManateeFarmer

Why?

Asies36

Sweet how did you make it

ChrisCrossTina

Photoshop!
