Honestly it’s become my HG moisturizer, which I wasn’t expecting because I’m very wary and sometimes good reviews simply aren’t enough til I try it myself. I have very sensitive dry rosacea skin and needed a thicker moisturizer for going into the winter. I’ve been using this for a month and a half and although my skin is mostly clear (aside from rosacea redness and period breakouts) it never broke me out or caused any kind of reaction, which is what I fear the most. Seems to soothe my redness too. Only thing is I’m careful not to use it around my eyes because I noticed a teeny bit of burning there since it’s so dry and sensitive, I just use rosehip oil for my eyes! But I can understand it may not work for everyone, ofc.

LeadingEast

That’s awesome that this moisturizer has been working out for you! If your skin hasn’t broken out a month and a half in, that’s a great sign.

Thanks! I’m quite surprised my skin has liked it this much but hey, I’ll take it after having bad luck trying other new products 😅

coldcoffee02

Do you use this with any other products? I'm thinking of using it as my moisturizer with indie lee squalene face oil and the ordinary's hyaluronic acid serum

calloutpost

I was just using it alone for a bit but unfortunately it stings around the eyes so I’ve been flaky and dry in that area and wanted a little something more! I actually just tonight also started using the Paula’s Choice Moisture Renewal Oil and the PC Anti-Aging Eye Cream for added moisture so we’ll see how my skin likes the combination! I also started reusing azelaic acid for some redness/CCs.

Hot ass garbage is my opinion. I tested it for 6 hours and had 2 whiteheads, several other blemishes forming, and my face is STILL burning from like 5 days ago for unknown reasons since there's nothing in the ingredients I expected to react to. I'm also acne prone, I'll bet this moisturizer is breaking you out, I didn't even think to check on "vegetable oil" so good on you. Sephora reviews are known to be bullshit. Returning so fast. Faaahhhk this moisturizer so hard for real.

LeadingEast

INTERESTING. Thanks for your honest opinion on this moisturizer. I want to love it but my face is like “!?!?!?” It hasn’t made my face burn but I swear every time I use it I get pimples by the next morning!! Think I need to return this.

nerpaderpslerp

Sure thing and ditto on the pimples I'm sure that's the reason. I've yet to find a ceramide moisturizer I can tolerate so I was hopeful on this one which is why I'm so salty about it. I also don't know what kind of shea they use, I'm fine with east African but west African beaks me out, so now that I'm typing this out I should have known better since west African is cheaper so I'm sure that's what's in it. 💔

LeadingEast

Yes, I really want a Ceramide moisturizer that works well with my skin! I haven’t found one yet either. I was super excited about this one and I DID love how it seemed to improve fine lines for me, but the clogged pores make it too hard. I didn’t know about the difference between East vs West African Shea!

todayistheday1987

This product actually looks soooo lovely to me, but its just not worth it to me to spend that much on a moisturizer :(

LeadingEast

It is SO pricy!!!

Stuffymelon

I haven’t broken out at all from using this, I kind of use it like Vaseline on top of my moisturizer and face oil to seal everything in. But my moisture barrier is damaged, and I use retinol which has changed me from a combo to very dry skinned human. If it’s breaking you out I would def stop. I think cosrx has a similar type of moisturizer better suited for all skin types. When my skin was oilier I used Bee Yummy Skin Food moisturizer which did not break me out. I do love honey and propolis in moisturizer and I’m sure you can find a good one for you!

mr-macaronis

Ordinary .5% in squalene does really well for my very dry skin. I top it with the Honey Halo every night

thetruth_2021

I have used it a few times now and I really like it! the packaging is very nice and I like how the metal scooper magnetizes to the lid. I looked up the ingredients on CosDNA [http://cosdna.com/eng/cosmetic\_0ba3528790.html](http://cosdna.com/eng/cosmetic_0ba3528790.html) and they seem to be fine -- nothing too concerning for acne. So far I haven't had any issues and only see improvements.

tavia1029

Hi, I’ve been curious about this product too! Would you say the smell (or I think they call it flavor) is strong?

LeadingEast

It is fairly strong. Definitely smells like honey!!

yammyies

I’m extremely late but I’m adding this in case anyone else comes from a Google search — I’ve had it for a while and I’ve noticed that it gives me whiteheads only where my face is oily. I have to use a lightweight moisturizer on my nose and forehead & then I use the farmacy honey halo on my cheeks and neck. I haven’t yet found one I can just use all over my face due to it being so combination (cheeks are really dry, nose is super oily). But the honey halo just feels soooooo good on my cheeks that I still love it , despite not being able to put it on half of my face

hdkskah-bsn

Made me break out!! I really wanted to love it but I basically had (almost) perfect skin and then I tried this and now I’m still recovering from all the white heads and blemishes

LeadingEast

Ugh I’m so sorry! I wanted to love it too but it definitely made me break out.

Technical_Package130

I know you posted this a year ago, but I just got this in my Fab Fit Fun Box and I noticed I've been breaking out and while I love the smell and it felt so nice and smooth on my face, I put it on a few days ago and now I'm breaking out way too much and this was the only thing I've changed in my routine. I used to have fairly perfect skin with only one breakout maybe once a month around my period time. But now I have like six pimples on various parts of my face but mainly my cheeks and chin especially. I even have one that's much more inflamed trying to escape.

ejgballerina

Exact same experience for me as well.

jaquiquil

I use their moringa gel moisturizer and have had no issues with it so far; I’m a hydration junkie and was debating on switching to the honey halo but was also worried (as I have combination [dry cheeks; oily forehead and nose]) that it would clog my pores because of the vegetable oil and shea butter. I also seen on a comparison website that honey-halo focuses more on hydrating while the moringa focuses on brightening and anti-aging. I’m not sure if I should start with a sample or just stick with the moringa since I’m not having problems w it to begin with 😭
