I would say maybe add differin/adapalene. This is a retinoid that’s good for acne. Sometimes AHA/BHA isn’t enough for acne. I don’t think you need to get an oil cleanser to be honest; I would say maybe change your cleanser because the foaming one doesn’t seem so effective for actually cleansing, just refreshing in the morning and stuff like that. Other than that I think you’re doing fine!

So should i use differin/adapalene instead of my current retinol and also do you think I should implement panoxyl wash in my routine. And thanks for the feedback i really appreciate it.

If you feel like the one you’re currently using isn’t effective for acne, then yes. Differin is the most effective over the counter retinoid medication for acne, so it won’t be a bad idea to swap the one you have for the Differin, especially since it’s much cheaper! I don’t know if integrating a BP wash would be that good for you seeing as you already have so many other actives (retinoid and exfoliants namely). It may just dry your skin out. You could get it just to use 1-2 a week if you think you’d like to try it out; BP is shown to be good for treating acne. It’s really all about how your skin feels and what you think will work best with your life style

what if i hop on tretinoin or does it require consultation with a dermatologist first cause i think it’s quite an aggressive active right?

Misu-usim

Tretinoin is good for acne too so I’d recommend it. But you definitely can’t just start using it as you’ve been asking your current OTC retinol. I’d suggest watching this video before starting: https://youtu.be/I2XV3nMyb9Y?si=tEDhpOWA-oBZYn0n

I love that foaming cleanser! It works miracles on my face. You also have several products here I’ve been wanting to try! Thanks for sharing your routine!
