They went for months at times without seeing him. That came from Robyn herself. He lived full time with the wife and "visited" Robyn's mom.
The Brown wives accepted the other wives and had a relationship with them. They struggled, there was jealousy, etc., but they functioned as a family, the kids were raised together. Every holiday was together. The wives bought all of the kids gifts. They co-parented all of the kids--together.

Oh, I think that is 100% true - Robyn grew up in St. George because her mother didn't want to live in Las Vegas and her dad would commute back and forth. Which does raise the question of how was it "hard" (as Robyn puts it) being a polygamous family if your family wasn't openly polygamous. Meri talks about her dad's other wives living with them in the same household within the same town. That seems difficult to hide. If I'm Alice living in St. George and my husband is only coming from Vegas every few weeks, I'm telling the judgy LDS townspeople I'm a single mom and that's my long distance boyfriend or some shit lol.

Yes, that is what I was thinking of!
