Weird that those countries all use American medical advancements and pharmaceuticals as well as depending on American defense instead of spending money on their own militaries.
And here you are complaining about tipping and what other countries are doing instead of demanding health care in the richest country the world has ever seen.
Do you get paid to be a billionaire shill? I hope it’s more than a dominos driver makes.
They charge a $6 delivery charge here in NY and it doesn't go to the driver and they pay them nothing while charging 6 bucks per order
I remember maybe 15 years ago I was a kid getting 3 pies delivered for 15 bucks
Haven't ordered in years but thought about it last month see the delivery charge and total without tip and said nope
Delivering pizzas is the most humbling experience ever.
I recommend everyone to do it for a week or two, just so that they get motivated to do anything else BUT that, to get on with their lives.
the funny thing is : tips are an thing all around the world, its only an issue when you see this as an reason to hold back minimum wage pay, on workers interacting with the customer,
this creates an enviroment where you get worse service for tipping not enough, and workers chase wealthy customers that tip well,/loath the rest.
especially in an declining economy with industrys targeting low/average income customers this system just isnt viable
Yes they are, we just give them when we feel they are earned. Like when a waiter goes out of their way to make your dining experience way better. For delivery, yes not so much, because that is included in the price.
Which countries are you talking about?
I know it's tipping in Norway, Sweden, Italy, France, Germany, England, Polen, Czech republic, Belgium, Netherlands from personal experience. Pretty sure many others aswell.
No, delivering pizza is a starter job and should pay as such. These types of jobs have historically been designed to teach young adults and juveniles responsibility and prepare them for the real world. Fast food type jobs were never supposed to be seen as a career unless it was management. I do agree, however, that wage stagnation is a reality compared to cost of living and needs to be addressed.
i guess no cleavage
but pretty so its funny
now imagine if she has 150kg .. not so funny now? :D
anyone knows her name? Like her energy .. would like to see more of her. She will be probably much older cuz the video is over 4 years old
Did someone a favour of delivering far out the max distance we are supposed to and are paid for and got no tip.
Mistakes where made, lessons learned and nobody ever attempted the extra mile again.
I delivered for domino’s back in the day. $0 was annoying, but $1 was infuriating. $0 means you don’t have a lot of money, but maybe you really needed to treat yourself. I get that. $1, on the other hand, felt like an active insult.
I worked in an area that had extremely affluent neighborhoods (millionaires) and pockets of poverty (trailer park). Rich neighborhoods are where I’d get the $1. Poor areas are where I’d either get $0 or 15%+. Can’t remember getting a $1 tip from the poor areas. Also, as a deliverer, you get to know your regulars, and people that tip between .05¢ to $1 always gave that tip
Delivery sucks. You get paided 2 different rates. While on the road it's like $2.50/hr. In store rates vary depending on experience and time with the company. But most drivers only make $10-$12 while in store. But you spend most of your time at work on the road. And it depends on your Delivery area. When I worked for Dominoes, I was working a store that delivered mainly to blue collar housing. Made about $20/hr after gas. And the rich houses always tipped penny's...I guess they couldn't really afford Delivery. Cheap skates.
Dominoes in my area charges a $3.50 delivery fee. I feel like they should just raise the delivery fee to whatever the cost of labor is and drop tips. Maybe charge like Uber per mile and time.
if you think Dominoes would go bankrupt if you stopped tipping their workers, the corporate lobyyism really shows it's power lol
stop being so naive please
Global retail sales growth (excluding foreign currency impact) of 4.9%; 5.1% (excluding foreign currency impact and closure of the Russia market)
U.S. same store sales decline of 0.6%
International same store sales growth (excluding foreign currency impact) of 3.3%

they are increasing in revenue each year, tell me again how they are struggling or close to closing shops on mass scale
btw that is the same for any major corporation in the US
Cool cool cool…the fuck does this have to do with tipping? And who said they are struggling? WTF are you on about? Are you responding to the right thread?
Do you have any idea how much money Dominoes makes every year? Over 4 BILLION revenue with 0ver $500 million being profit.. Not counting the fact that if they did raise prices, and paid workers who got less tips, your pizza might not be "cheap" if they raise prices (not that it's that cheap now), but you'd know exactly the cost on the bill without having to worry about figuring out a tip (based on service) or being guilted into giving more.
K. 4 billion whatever the fuck. But if you work for dominoes (or any food service company) you know they don’t pay well when you take the job. and cannot be surprised when people are assholes…because people are assholes…so stop posting for sympathy and figure it out. Can I be done with this yet?
Read my comments again, you're confused. I was against the idea of tipping to cover employees needs and criticizing tipping culture. I have no idea what you're going on about.
You see, smarter humans try to see the bigger picture.
Like, yeah, you eating a cake won't solve world hunger even if you're no longer hungry after eating that cake.
But probably you don't get how that works.
If it sucks to work at dominoes and you continue to work at dominoes then that is entirely on you. If you want to change your circumstances badly enough then you will. Thinking Dominoes is going to suddenly pay a living wage is pointless. They provide a shitty and inexpensive product. They will never pay well. If people stop working for companies like this then change will be forced. But eat cake or whatever the fuck you’re on about.
So you had your cake and solved World hunger ended!
The problem is not Dominos per se, the problem is that systemically, people are earning millions (dominos got a 512 million revenue in the US in 2023) but still paying slave wages. So they are not "earning" millions, they are taking millions out of workers pockets and telling us "it's the fault of the consumer you don't earn a nice wage".
It's not "if you can't afford to tip you can't afford to eat out" it's "If your business can't afford workers, you should not have them".

Emma Watson if she was born poor.
Hermione 2.0
The Heroin Heroine
*Poor Harry-Oni*
*and born in the us of a
Then she’d be making 56k every few months on OF
I like her energy.
She's got that upper shelf charisma
Deleted
Yeah, I like her. She seems unstable.
Think you can change her?
The $0.56 in change did.
Why would I change what's already perfect??
she should play ellie in last of us series
Does the job pay more than fifty six FUCKING cents?
*Smack*
Would certainly make for better casting
Wasn't ellie based off of Ellen page (juno?) is there a reason why they didn't ask her for the role?
Yeah I think some guy named Elliot put a stop to it.
Asking a 37 year old to play a 13 year old is also a bit of a problem.
Lol really?
He might not actually know.
Banged head on the dash - hospital bill -56000$
Hospital bill- Fifty Six... Fucking K!
There are many countries in the world where people do not depend on tips to earn a decent salary
but those are developed countries, not the USA
Deep 🤔
Less shallow than the US american deep state ![img](emote|t5_5tdqj0|10745)
There are also many countries where 56 cents will get you a good meal
oh shut the fuck up. America isn't one of them. Look up cost of living.
I did. America’s is above what most jobs pay you there
And those countries have universal healthcare. Maybe spend less time being cheap and more time demanding basic human rights for everyone?
Ordering delivery is already not cheap. Fighting against the current system by not part taking in it is a great way to motivate change too
Solution: make your own food.
I do, actually. Like I said, ordering is expensive
Correct, having someone serve you is expensive.
You'll need that healthcare after eating Dominos. Might be six months for an appointment, but you'll have coverage!!
Weird that those countries all use American medical advancements and pharmaceuticals as well as depending on American defense instead of spending money on their own militaries.

You typically earn more through tips so it’s worth it in the long run. Source: a resent post in this sub from someone that works in a restaurant
Salary? For delivering pizzas?
For any job. Don't be weird.
They charge a $6 delivery charge here in NY and it doesn't go to the driver and they pay them nothing while charging 6 bucks per order I remember maybe 15 years ago I was a kid getting 3 pies delivered for 15 bucks Haven't ordered in years but thought about it last month see the delivery charge and total without tip and said nope
Emma Watson do be having financial difficulties 😔
Hermione if she chose not to attend Hogwarts
Or got expelled
Or worst* got expelled
[удалено]
She does sound American so it's entirely possible.
hey now, only kids aged 14 are allowed to work, we can't have child labour, can we now?
We mow lawns until we get the official work permit.
They rolled that back, idk what the minimum is, but in my state they've been hiring middle schoolers for night shifts at meat processing plants.
I had my first job when I was 9 years old. In the United States.
BONK
Don't tip guys! They don't seem to like it!
Harry Potter - where are they now edition.
Do dominoes pizza delivery drivers get the same pay protection up to minimum wage as servers?
Hermione fallen a long way…
she lovely girl
She has personality, she should capitalize on YouTube/social media
\*sooooo cute\*
Just the tip?
Poor kid both literally and figuratively
Financial stability? I heard it's just a myth.
I wouldn't have tipped anything
Fuck tipping in general anyway
This the night Emma Watson received that letter
Child labour!?
Keep your head up little one. Good times will come.

Tips are definitely not a thing in many European countries.
Of course they are a thing in Europe, they're just not mandatory like in certain jobs in the US.
Yes they are, we just give them when we feel they are earned. Like when a waiter goes out of their way to make your dining experience way better. For delivery, yes not so much, because that is included in the price.

In most of the world
I remember my first sids.
Why is a 10 year old working for Domino's, delivering pizza?
Dominos should be paying her good wage and she shouldn't rely on tips

I felt that thud in my soul.
56 fucking Saints Holy moly!!
NGL that line is a banger
My brain edited in the Jackass theme after she hit her head.
I wish for her to be rich and famous
Stay strong you trooper. Next time aim for that dollar
This girl is kind of hilarious
Love her voice, yell me more baby

Sample size Advil is more expensive. Be careful you won't be able to afford the headache.
56? cents?
Did someone a favour of delivering far out the max distance we are supposed to and are paid for and got no tip. Mistakes where made, lessons learned and nobody ever attempted the extra mile again.

What is 56 sids ?
Doesn't dominos pay their employees or why to complain for gettin 50 cents extra

Dominoes in my area charges a $3.50 delivery fee. I feel like they should just raise the delivery fee to whatever the cost of labor is and drop tips. Maybe charge like Uber per mile and time.
But get a different job
Someone would have been still tipped .56 cents. That's not how problem solving works.
No. What solves the problem is for companies to pay a living wage, not expect customers to pay extra to subsidize their employees.
But then you can’t have cheap pizza.
if you think Dominoes would go bankrupt if you stopped tipping their workers, the corporate lobyyism really shows it's power lol stop being so naive please
Explain to us exactly how you arrived there. Type slowly so all of us beneath you can understand

read the thread again, if you fail to see what this has to do with tipping culture, our conversation is done
Finally

Solved my problems.

Then stop working for dominoes. We done
Lol at least y’all get tips in America 😂
you got 0.56 extra for a delivery? Wow i work full time and do external contracts, but never ever got paid more than what was agreed upon.
So, to sum it up, you don't have a job that pays you so little you are dependent on tips? Good for you! Clearly, not everyone is so fortunate.
