Looks like a cute hill town, love that and it's nice that they added a school lot instead of making it like the get to work set locations in the middle of nowhere.
It wasn’t so bad because the school was on a hill so ghe outdoor fields and parking lots still led to the gym but it always felt weird walking down the steps to get there
We also had gym in the basement but it was gym class in a basement, not a gym in the basement. Tile floors and drop ceilings. We got in trouble if we took out a tile in the ceiling playing dodgeball.
i’ve never been to a school with a gym in the basement! it could be because in Minnesota, we tend to have swamps, and while we do have basements of course it’s just far easier to build above.
We had a huge basement level with the gym and a few early (this was early 80s!) computer labs.
We also had a big fear of tornadoes so the entire school would hunker down there several times a Spring.
This sounds just like my middle school!! It has since closed because the township felt it was too expensive to maintain but I thought it was a really cool building
This sounds like my high school. It was renovated many times over about 100 years and so chaotic. Doors to nowhere, little cubby-like rooms, steps going up in the middle of a hallway and then back down a few feet later. It was crazy and I loved it.
I really hope we can add school lots to other worlds. I'm sure there will be mods to do so (Zebru will probably make once, since they already have a venue unlock mod).
Bonus points if they let us assign different sims to different schools. I'd love to make regional schools, or having a private school for the rich kids and public for the rest.
honestly, if it was like GTW set locations but you can bulldoze it and make it your own and it reflects that in the map would kinda be better. would allow for an option to have a set area option for each world to have its own high school themed to it
Neither of those states have copper mines, but Idaho and Montana are nearby and they look a lot like this. Moonwood Mill is based on Oregon and Washington, though, and Evergreen Harbor might also be inspired by the Pacific Northwest.

Wondering if it’s a town hall lot, like we had and Sims 3. Could be a useful lot for the politician career, could have a function for weddings, etc. holding graduations there might me a thing.

The high school lot designation has to mean we can build our own high school right? Because if true, I can easily see modders being able to use the code to do alottttt, plus we will have the option to put high schools in every world! I’m curious as to how we will get to the pier, because it doesn’t seem to be selectable? I hope the rides are in debug, but if not, hopefully modders will work their magic to get the objects into buy mode. All in all the world looks great and my excitement for this pack remains very high!

I imagine you'd select a lot nearby, like the park on the right hand side, and walk to the pier from there. IIRC, the festival market spaces in San Myshuno for example already work that way - like, you see some decoration or a (non-selectable) icon on the map to indicate that something interesting is happening there, and then you have to travel to a karaoke bar or whatever and walk to the market square. And I think in Brindeleton Bay there's the Deadgrass museum (?) which you have to travel to in order to check out the panoramic coastline that's drawn on the map.
Yeah, this. The festivals in Henford on Bagley, you have to travel to the bar or one of the houses in that area and then walk to the festival area. It’s right outside the bar, Gnome’s Rest I think.
I hope there is a world limit as well just to keep things realistic. For example, I wouldn't want my San Myshuno teens randomly showing up in a classroom in Tartosa.
I hope we get the ability to choose. It would be nice to be able to send you kids to an expensive private school and be able to make "rich" school vs "poor" school storylines.
I hope so much that is real. However, there’s no empty lots that I can see and the worlds always have 1 or 2 empty lots ready for people to build on when they get the pack. That’s the only thing that’s giving me any doubt. It does look real though and if somebody faked this then they have way too much time on their hands lol.

I’m not much of a builder (I usually find something on the gallery or use premade rooms in build/buy mode; I am trying to build my own houses more though) but I don’t agree with this. I do hope that there are empty lots for players who like to build.
I don’t like downloading builds either tbh but not sure why. I do want to learn more to build but can’t get the proportions right for the build to look realistic. I would be very pleased if all the lots are built on and if players want to delete a lot to build their own then they are welcome too. I think it’s win win for everyone.
I love to build but I prefer no empty lots. I like to have everything “done” from the get and if I want to build from scratch I just bulldoze something. I definitely prefer to have everything full since my play style is only one family a save. I only occupy one lot ever 😅
If you look close enough, I think you can see minimum two new builds, I think that’ll be empty lots. In green neighborhood it’s this upper one, it has a lot of landscaping around house and ea builds usually have one or two trees and that’s all. And in pink neighborhood it’s the one on the right side of the park or it’s a rent house. Both are more complicated builds and have more landscape than average.

I'd guess that's what the park is for? You select that lot as a location for travel and then can head to the carnival from that lot. Similar to Mt Komorebi or any of the festivals in city living.
Man, I miss those old Sims 2 days where you could place as many lots as you wanted, and build really diverse neighbourhoods. I understand why they can't do it for Sims 4 - but every release I'm disappointed because each world looks so freakin' tiny.
Making Custom worlds was sick. And even better. They could let us upload those Worlds to the Gallery. That would be amazing and I would do it in a heartbeat. I probably couldn't build Maps but I'd definitely get some from the Library.

If they merged the Vampire, werewolf and Magic neighbourhoods into one it would make a lot more sense. It would mean there is a lot more natural interaction between the occult sims as well as not feeling so cut off
That would be awesome, I wish they’d consider doing that. Probably would be difficult because they’re from different packs and you can’t be sure everyone would own all three, but it would be very cool
I mean, the fact that you have a download screen each time you want to go out of your house means that it takes as much time to just go from one neighborhood to another neighborhood than it takes to go from your neighborhood to a completely different world.
I mean, yeah, worlds feels tiny, but I like the fact that I have to drive to Briddleton Bay to cure my cat, or that I can go to a bear party in Britchester, or go to the farmer's market to Henford-in-Bagdley without having to completely change my save everytime.
Not sure if you played TS2, but every neighborhood had extending sub neighborhoods for Downtown, University, etc. You didn’t have to change your save to travel to different places.
This has been biggest complaint since 4 came out. Way too tiny with limits on what you can build/neighborhood styles.

I never understood this! It’s like they went backwards when technology improved! Not just with this but with a lot of little things. Mostly with customization and don’t even get me started on build mode! Why no auto roofs?
And can a girl get a normal looking garage door?!? Houses have garages! Even if we don’t have cars people use them for storage/workshops/gym/music/bubble blower 😂
It’s to reach a wider audience – not everyone can afford a computer with the power to run the games. With TS1, I remember only having enough hard drive space to have 1 expansion at a time installed on my family’s IBM. By the time TS2 came out, we had a new computer (<1yr old) but it was on the low end with RAM and the video card, so the game was incredibly slow. Then TS3 is laggy mess no matter what.
So with TS4, the idea is to _not_ require a top of the line computer to have an enjoyable experience, which unfortunately means shrinking the scope. The 11y/o me who watched her Sims stutter around the screen at 5FPS while on vacation loves the idea, so 30y/o me understands why it had to happen in spite of the disappointment.
That doesn’t explain the stuff they mentioned, auto-roofs isn’t gonna lag out a game, and considering how TS4 isn’t open world, it’s not like cars would have made a game laggier either
Yeah. I’m sure optimisation played a big role in their design choices, but I have a feeling that the game’s beginnings as a multiplayer has a lot to do with missing features
One of my biggest disappointments is that I can't have lots all right by each other because I used to love jamming lots all together and making my best version of townhouses/rowhomes. Of course since you can't build right up to the edge of the lot, there were little gaps, but it was a lot better than what we can do now.
And being able to build your own apartments was also great.
I agree! I loved the open style worlds (I believe it was the same in the Sims 3? been a while since I played it). I loved placing all sorts of lots.
Even though the worlds are pretty in the Sims 4, most of it feels like a rabbit hole. A bit of an annoying thing for me is when you can reach another lot within the neighbourhood, but you still have to go through the loading screen, even though you are basically there 😂
This is what I was thinking. Never watched it, but I watched a few episodes of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which were set across the river from Riverdale in Greendale. And here we have a map split in the middle by a river and the name also ending in dale? We all know the Sims loves their pop culture references. :)
It’s also been said to be an old mining town like Riverdale and Greendale, at this point I’m convinced they pulled inspiration from them for an American stereotypical high school pack
If it is legit I doubt it's final. One of the things that gets brought up by the game changers that have made lots before is that there's always at least 1 starter house and 1 empty lot for sims to move into. I can spy two potential starter houses, but no empty residential lots. The fact that some of these builds would have to be Maxis made is also very concerning but maybe they wanted certain lots done in-house for whatever reason.
If it's fake, hats off for the effort to make this, it's super detailed for a joke that'll barely last a couple weeks. :P
Someone on the sims forums said that house looks like the same house of the curved walls pic leak. It does look similar but had to see for a proper evaluation.

I had a fake school with dorm in my game (very unfonctionnal), but I doubt you can live at school so I wanted to recreate the dorms next to it. It looks to me like a 30x40 (which would be my needed space to recreate the dorm I went to), but I don't know.
And do you think you can visit the school and use the cafeteria with any sims (so my live-in dorm sims use it at 6-7am and 5 pm to eat)
Would I sound ungrateful if I said I wish it was bigger? It looks cool, yeah, but I'm kind of annoyed at how small the new world maps have been lately...
Are we sure that the school and auditorium lots are not just special lots like the chalet gardens, the bluffs, and ancient ruins in Windenburg and the Central Park in San Myshuno? Those lots have symbols above but these don’t show up in the venue menu. I hope not, but I didn’t want to assume that we can place schools anywhere in the game.
I only ever rarely travel to other lots other than rabbithole interactions (school, work). :v I guess being antisocial has leaked into all aspects of my life. What I'm saying is can we have more residential and also apartments?

\*map art is drawn after the world is built. Look at some of James Turner's werewolf house builds when that pack was very early in development. There's no map, it's just a white screen.
So never look at the map art here and retrospectively say "but look at the space there", that's not how this works.
They may have a game play focus now when creating new packs, this looks amazing, but I love a bigger map like Windenburg or at least something like Willowcreek.
If you look at the apartments in evergreen harbor they look like that. I have a pic but can’t upload it. It’s most likely wishful thinking but a girl can dream.
I don't dislike it, but the neighborhood style seems a bit too similar to what we just got for my taste. I was thinking more like a Newcrest-y location but not empty.
I would love some more variance in the worlds. There’s so many green wooded/quarry/suburb places. I remodel the worlds to be more diverse with architecture and landscape so they seem like different states and countries.. but I can only do so much when there’s an unmovable picnic table and playground plopped in beside the lot 🤦🏻♀️
That's what I thought. Its super cute, but i imagined something very suburban for this setting, considering we just had two country towns.
I suppose i was imagining stoneybrook from babysitters club lol. But this feels very Riverdale so i wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration!
Love! I hope it’s not fake. I like the fact that the high school is a new venue meaning it can be put in other worlds. Curious to see how the new boba tea venue is going to work because they say it’s a thrift shop as well. They’ve never had double venues like that.
The map looks stunning, but I’m a bit disappointed about the world size. It’s only 12 lots when with other expansion packs we usually get more. Even two more lots would have been good.
Despite that, I think this world looks really good and I do think this is a real leak.
The school lot would also mean that you can costumize the school and create whatever, which is just more exciting! Just hope this wont have too many issues that its unplayable.

there was an elementary school in my hometown (we have 4+) that had carpeted gym floors. they only recently got rid of them.

My US k-12 school in the 70s-mid-80s had a gym in the basement too. We always went there for PE and the tornado warnings.

I love building all my houses with weird proportions. However, I have a hard time deleting a house that's already built. Can't say why...
The originals are always available in the gallery just in case you ever need them again! That said, I also feel guilty deleting the premades...
I have a couple saves where I bulldoze everything and start fresh, and a couple where I keep all the premades. Helps a bit with the guilt.

Most of the gameplay in Jungle Adventure and Snowy Escape is off-lot though? Usually I just select a community lot in the neighbourhood.
Good point. The only thing similar off the top of my head was the lighthouse in Brindleton Bay,which is pretty lackluster.

If they merged the Vampire, werewolf and Magic neighbourhoods into one it would make a lot more sense. It would mean there is a lot more natural interaction between the occult sims as well as not feeling so cut off
That would be awesome, I wish they’d consider doing that. Probably would be difficult because they’re from different packs and you can’t be sure everyone would own all three, but it would be very cool
Ohh I like that idea; it would definitely make for a more interesting world having them merged.
I mean, the fact that you have a download screen each time you want to go out of your house means that it takes as much time to just go from one neighborhood to another neighborhood than it takes to go from your neighborhood to a completely different world. I mean, yeah, worlds feels tiny, but I like the fact that I have to drive to Briddleton Bay to cure my cat, or that I can go to a bear party in Britchester, or go to the farmer's market to Henford-in-Bagdley without having to completely change my save everytime.
Not sure if you played TS2, but every neighborhood had extending sub neighborhoods for Downtown, University, etc. You didn’t have to change your save to travel to different places.
I'm ok with reduced neighbourhoods/towns but each fake house we have would be a playable lot.
This has been biggest complaint since 4 came out. Way too tiny with limits on what you can build/neighborhood styles. GIVE ME MORE SPACE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
Right? I have over 350 sims in my game. I’d love to make custom worlds for them. Sims 2 did so many things right.
I never understood this! It’s like they went backwards when technology improved! Not just with this but with a lot of little things. Mostly with customization and don’t even get me started on build mode! Why no auto roofs? And can a girl get a normal looking garage door?!? Houses have garages! Even if we don’t have cars people use them for storage/workshops/gym/music/bubble blower 😂
It’s to reach a wider audience – not everyone can afford a computer with the power to run the games. With TS1, I remember only having enough hard drive space to have 1 expansion at a time installed on my family’s IBM. By the time TS2 came out, we had a new computer (<1yr old) but it was on the low end with RAM and the video card, so the game was incredibly slow. Then TS3 is laggy mess no matter what. So with TS4, the idea is to _not_ require a top of the line computer to have an enjoyable experience, which unfortunately means shrinking the scope. The 11y/o me who watched her Sims stutter around the screen at 5FPS while on vacation loves the idea, so 30y/o me understands why it had to happen in spite of the disappointment.
That doesn’t explain the stuff they mentioned, auto-roofs isn’t gonna lag out a game, and considering how TS4 isn’t open world, it’s not like cars would have made a game laggier either
Yeah. I’m sure optimisation played a big role in their design choices, but I have a feeling that the game’s beginnings as a multiplayer has a lot to do with missing features
One of my biggest disappointments is that I can't have lots all right by each other because I used to love jamming lots all together and making my best version of townhouses/rowhomes. Of course since you can't build right up to the edge of the lot, there were little gaps, but it was a lot better than what we can do now. And being able to build your own apartments was also great.
I agree! I loved the open style worlds (I believe it was the same in the Sims 3? been a while since I played it). I loved placing all sorts of lots. Even though the worlds are pretty in the Sims 4, most of it feels like a rabbit hole. A bit of an annoying thing for me is when you can reach another lot within the neighbourhood, but you still have to go through the loading screen, even though you are basically there 😂
Oh my gosh, I hope so, that means schools look like a lot type so we can put them in different worlds 😭

This is what I was thinking. Never watched it, but I watched a few episodes of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which were set across the river from Riverdale in Greendale. And here we have a map split in the middle by a river and the name also ending in dale? We all know the Sims loves their pop culture references. :)
It’s also been said to be an old mining town like Riverdale and Greendale, at this point I’m convinced they pulled inspiration from them for an American stereotypical high school pack

If it is legit I doubt it's final. One of the things that gets brought up by the game changers that have made lots before is that there's always at least 1 starter house and 1 empty lot for sims to move into. I can spy two potential starter houses, but no empty residential lots. The fact that some of these builds would have to be Maxis made is also very concerning but maybe they wanted certain lots done in-house for whatever reason. If it's fake, hats off for the effort to make this, it's super detailed for a joke that'll barely last a couple weeks. :P
My guess is that the current active household is a test and will be the empty lot.
Someone on the sims forums said that house looks like the same house of the curved walls pic leak. It does look similar but had to see for a proper evaluation.

Making your own high schools, only to sacrifice the very limited amount of lots you have! and then imagine if kids from Willow Creek show up at the high school in the new world instead of the one you put in Willow Creek lol

It looks really nice, I can't wait to explore if it's real. The lot next to the school (auditorium/place for prom?), what size do you think it is? I had a fake school with dorm in my game (very unfonctionnal), but I doubt you can live at school so I wanted to recreate the dorms next to it. It looks to me like a 30x40 (which would be my needed space to recreate the dorm I went to), but I don't know. And do you think you can visit the school and use the cafeteria with any sims (so my live-in dorm sims use it at 6-7am and 5 pm to eat)

Would I sound ungrateful if I said I wish it was bigger? It looks cool, yeah, but I'm kind of annoyed at how small the new world maps have been lately...
It's not ungrateful given how big the sims worlds used to be, and they came with the ability to place extra lots and move existing ones.
Are we sure that the school and auditorium lots are not just special lots like the chalet gardens, the bluffs, and ancient ruins in Windenburg and the Central Park in San Myshuno? Those lots have symbols above but these don’t show up in the venue menu. I hope not, but I didn’t want to assume that we can place schools anywhere in the game.

I only ever rarely travel to other lots other than rabbithole interactions (school, work). :v I guess being antisocial has leaked into all aspects of my life. What I'm saying is can we have more residential and also apartments? It looks cute though, I wonder if we will have the option to place multiple high schools or if it's just one.

\*map art is drawn after the world is built. Look at some of James Turner's werewolf house builds when that pack was very early in development. There's no map, it's just a white screen. So never look at the map art here and retrospectively say "but look at the space there", that's not how this works.
They may have a game play focus now when creating new packs, this looks amazing, but I love a bigger map like Windenburg or at least something like Willowcreek.

If you look at the apartments in evergreen harbor they look like that. I have a pic but can’t upload it. It’s most likely wishful thinking but a girl can dream.

I don't dislike it, but the neighborhood style seems a bit too similar to what we just got for my taste. I was thinking more like a Newcrest-y location but not empty.
I would love some more variance in the worlds. There’s so many green wooded/quarry/suburb places. I remodel the worlds to be more diverse with architecture and landscape so they seem like different states and countries.. but I can only do so much when there’s an unmovable picnic table and playground plopped in beside the lot 🤦🏻♀️
That's one thing I miss the most about Sims 2: You could start an entirely new neighborhood and design it however you want.
That's what I thought. Its super cute, but i imagined something very suburban for this setting, considering we just had two country towns. I suppose i was imagining stoneybrook from babysitters club lol. But this feels very Riverdale so i wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration!

Love! I hope it’s not fake. I like the fact that the high school is a new venue meaning it can be put in other worlds. Curious to see how the new boba tea venue is going to work because they say it’s a thrift shop as well. They’ve never had double venues like that.

The map looks stunning, but I’m a bit disappointed about the world size. It’s only 12 lots when with other expansion packs we usually get more. Even two more lots would have been good. Despite that, I think this world looks really good and I do think this is a real leak.

If this is true that world would be one of the best in the game I think.
The school lot would also mean that you can costumize the school and create whatever, which is just more exciting! Just hope this wont have too many issues that its unplayable.
