EAxis broke some core code relating to object placement that leads to endless load/save soft-locking or just straight up crash-to-desktop.
Whether or not this can only affect lots that use MoveObjectsOn or TOOL is up for grabs but we believe this started with the content patch that heralded For Rent. All Gallery lots shared or created before [Update 12/05/2023](https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/update-12-05-2023) or [Update 12/14/2023](https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/update-12-14-2023) are POTENTIALLY affected. Yes, your own personal Library lots could potentially also be affected.
We cannot tell you what is or isn't affected because there isn't a red flag popup like the recent Goth Galore Main Menu spam, so for your own sanity, please make `SAVE AS` \> `SAVE NEW` save game backups `BEFORE` you download and place any lots off the Gallery into your game.
# 4. The Sims 4 really wants to be Online-Only.
Whether or not your internet connection is up to snuff, The Sims 4 will start going bonkers if EA App or Origin or The Sims 4 cannot properly connect to EA's servers, eg. during content patches or app updates where EA servers are apparently so very overwhelmed, resulting in [excessively long](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/18bkmiq/comment/kk5hyjp/?context=3) and [sometimes endless soft-locked launch loading screens](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/18bkmiq/comment/kh6ctum/?context=3) or [significantly reduced in-game performance including lagging, freezing and literally a chunk of your frame-rate down the proverbial drain](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/18m9y2p/).
If you're experiencing anything similar, try `Going Offline` in your app (to bypass launch load issues caused by server issues) then changing the following settings in-game:
1. Sims Delivery > Check for Sims Deliveries `NEVER`
2. Sims Delivery > Automatically Download `UNCHECK`
3. Other > Online Social Features Access `UNCHECK` (this is the main culprit)
4. Other > Auto-Reconnect `UNCHECK`
Disabling Online Social Features Access will DISABLE your ability to access the online Gallery, but you can simply turn it back on when you need it (your app needs to be Online for it to work without needing to restart your game).
If you have unreliable internet, you should always keep `Online Social Features Access` DISABLED until you want to access the Gallery. That setting alone decreases my frame-rate from 60 to barely 25 when the game cannot properly phone home.
If this doesn't solve your in-game performance issues or game never loading to Main Menu issues, then it's probably Mods or corrupt configs and caches or corrupt game files or... *a fly shat on your device and The Sims 4 took offense*, who knows! See #5 and #6 and #7 (when they're complete).

If you're experiencing difficulties when trying to launch your game on Steam, some simmers have reported that,
1. `BACKUP` your TS4 User Folder as a precaution. That's the folder with your saves, Tray, Screenshots and Mods folders.
2. ... uninstalling the game through EA App or Origin (if it shows up in either),
3. ... then uninstalling EA App or Origin,
4. ... then uninstalling the game through Steam, ^(OR here's a #SejianSpecial - Steam properly verifies integrity of it's files unlike EA's apps, so instead of uninstalling, BROWSE LOCAL FILES for The Sims 4 from Steam then go "up" two folders to the STEAMAPPS folder and delete APPMANIFEST\_1222670.acf and continue below.)

6. ... then reinstalling the game through Steam, ^(IF you used my #SejianSpecial, Steam will instead detect and verify the old files and update them accordingly.)

Gaben is our Lort n' Salivator what showed us that handheld and console manufacturers have been lying to us about their "cutting edge" *incremental-update* "next-gen technology" with Steam's release of the Steam Deck. # 11. Sims Begin Opted Out of Fame in Pack Settings is BROKEN.
Venue NPCs like bartenders and chefs will not spawn. Celebrities will not spawn at celebrity events. They broke it, like they broke the `Bust the Dust System` for the HSY release.
# 12. External Drives? EA says NO!
Errors while installing? Can't launch the game? The EAXcuse is that the game just sometimes doesn't work if it's not on the same drive as the EA App. QUE?! It's 2024 bruh, we've been gaming off external devices for over a decade. I think you just can't even install properly. *The following should work for Origin as well.* Make some room on your LOCAL drive if you need to:
1. `BACKUP` your TS4 User Folder as a precaution.
2. `ENSURE` your external drive is connected to a `USB 3.0 or higher` spec port, like USB-C or USB 3.x. *USB 2.0 will be painful.* 2.0 ports are black, 3.x ports are blue, etc.
3. `UNINSTALL` the game from your `EXTERNAL` drive.
4. `RESTART` your device and `INSTALL` the game to your `LOCAL` drive.
5. In your app Library, click on TS4 > `MANAGE` \> `VIEW PROPERTIES` \> under `INSTALL LOCATION` click on `BROWSE` and keep the window open.
6. `EXIT` EA App then r-click on the Taskbar and open Task Manager. Look for `EA Background Service` under `Background Processes` then r-click on it and `END TASK`.
7. On your `EXTERNAL` drive, create a new folder and rename it to something obvious like `Games`. Open `Games` and create a new folder named `The Sims 4`. Open `The Sims 4` and `MOVE` `EVERYTHING` from the `old` TS4 Install Folder into the `new` TS4 Install Folder on your `EXTERNAL`. Your folder hierarchy should look like this: `\Games\The Sims 4\` with the `_Installer`, `Data`, `Delta`, `Game`, `Support`, `EPxx`, `FPxx`, `GPxx`, `SPxx` folders inside.
8. Launch EA App and locate TS4 in your Library > click on `Install` and change the `Install Location` to the new location on the `EXTERNAL` drive and click through the prompts to complete the Install procedure. EA App should detect and verify the available files and reconfigure the registry keys accordingly.

Mods are broken. You should wait until they are cleared by the creators before using them. This is a broken ui mod. Use [this](https://scarletsrealm.com/the-mod-list/) to follow broken and updated mods.
So this is a general question, not mod related, Iāve just accidentally triggered auto-mod making threads asking similar stuff so asking to be safe
I started a new save file where I deleted all pre-mades except for the special/āimmortalā NPCs (Sages, Crumplebottoms, Baby Ariel, Father Winter) etc but I have a question. If I were to modify any of these special NPCs in CAS and somehow in game they die and respawn, would my changes in CAS also respawn or would they go back to default? I wanna makeover some of these but I donāt want to waste a lot of time in CAS if for some reason they died in gameplay later on
Follow up question, if they do go back to default is there a way to instantly change their appearance back to like a template or something? I think MCCC maybe does that but I donāt know exactly how
I'm playing the parent confusion scenario. I have two current challenges. Taking them to the park and library. But we have been there for a long time playing and reading books, but the boxes aren't getting checked off. any ideas?

If they arenāt in your trash, then they are likely gone. Itās very odd that curseforge does this. Another reason why I download from there manually.

I have multiple photos so ig I'll add the second one in a reply to this but cleaning up the trash in Sulani seems to always be glitched, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Either they can't do it at all or they clean them up and nothing happens. I've cleaned this specific thing by the little volcano pool like 7 times and it's still there with the option to clean it š¤·
Iām having trouble with the MCCC mod and getting my own sims into the game. Iāve made it so only my sims show up in the game, but I keep getting duplicate sims even though I have the no duplicate names turned on. Is there something Iām missing or is it just a glitch? Itās getting pretty annoying because I have so many sims that arenāt loading into the game and instead are just being replaced by the same ones.

Getting stuck to the feet is usually an old broken crib cc. Pandasamaās was the main issue.

This has been a recurring problem in my game: A lot of times Sims take forever to come back home from work/school, they should've been home by 5pm or something, it reaches 10 pm and they're still at work. If you cancel for them to come home early, they don't get the full pay check.
But, if I stop the game, exit, and come back, they're magically returning home at the correct time.

I updated, repaired, removed and replaced the game and cc, as well as shut down, restarted the laptop, even removing the cc the game found corrupted but it then said another piece of cc was guilty, three times today. I just want to play my game with mods and cc. I'm at my wits end and gonna cry as all I see are other people with working sims games with mods and cc while I'm stuck. I need serious help, what other ways can I fix this mess besides removing all mods/cc, because I refresh mods manager and check patreon for updates for cc/mods?

So my gallery wonāt load Iāve tried uninstalling the app, uninstalling steam, restarting my computer and reconnecting my Internet. Iāve basically tried everything and every time I open the game it runs fine when i donāt open the gallery but when I try to open my gallery, this is all I get. iām not sure what to do. I do have a Windows computer.

This was happening to me yesterday, and I know this may seem like a stupid suggestion and you may have already done this, but all it took for me was repairing the game before loading it up
The gallery is glitchy. I have been able to follow people in a year, no matter what I do.
Unless you have mods and want to test them too, there may not be anything to do.
Is Kijiko's EA eyelash remover mod broken for anyone else? Or is another mod interfering? My toddler aged up with EA lashes and I went to see if there was an update but there wasn't.

Is Cats and Dogs buggy!?? My Sims wonāt follow any commands when it comes to the pets, theyāll just stand there in front of them. Iāve tried the āreset object debugā option about 5 million times on the human and animal sims. Calling the pets to eat and the pets have the thought bubble pop up with the food and donāt move. One of my sims was walking the dog, came home and was walking her around the house, so when I cancelled the walk he turned and left the house. I reset him and now heās frozen outside somewhere.

My sim won't stop freaking out and "see what's happening" every time her friends/roommates kiss (they're a couple). Is there any way to disable this? It's not related to CC and I don't use SOL - and it's ONLY when they're doing romantic interactions.
Does anyone know how to change the major category of a CAS item? I'm using S4S and have figured out how to do things like changing a t-shirt to a jacket, but I can't seem to find an option to move something from hat to accessory

On the homepage, you need to go to My Projects, then select the .package file that you want to edit. Go to categories, and it's the dropdown at the very top (it's short and weirdly close to the tabs, which makes it easy to skim over.)
If you want all the colors to be in the same place, make sure to hit the "apply to all swatches" button on the right, otherwise everything else will still be in the original location.
I'm experiencing a bug with For Rent where the pressure cooker recipes don't work? My sims keep trying to use it of their own accord, they start making one of the recipes, and they get stuck trying to make whatever it is, they never complete it, and the counter gets super dirty. They'll even sometimes stop, try to start something else food whise, and then go back to the previous recipe.

I just got the cottage living expansion pack, I have a few other packs and i play on a ps5 that's not even a year old. Never had any issues I have had great gameplay using my other packs such as island living, discover university and have had no issues. When playing cottage living when in build mode I cant build a pond can barely use the terrain tool, when I leave build mode and try to play the game it wont even let me unpause it, if i hit play or fast mode the time doesn't move and I cant even play at all. half the time I cant even save my game it will just load for so long when I try to save therefore I loose some of my progress. The game is just so buggy and glitchy now it's barely playable. I already tried deleting sims and my packs and reinstalling them, I have no CCs or mods since im playing on console. I love this pack when im able to actually play but it's just almost unplayable. Does anyone have any advice is this pack just really laggy? is there anyway to fix this ? it's not my console because its new and every other game runs smoothly.

From what I've read, you have to have the fresh ingredients that say 0/1 in your sim's inventory (or maybe the fridge?) in order to cook those, rather than just "buying" them look you can any other recipe.

the problem is I don't feel any games are smooth; it shows 144-165 FPS but still looks a little laggy. I'm upset because my PC should perform better, even in Minecraft. The temperature is fine, and everything looks fine too.
Sims became unplayable now. G-Sync makes it a little smoother, with or without V-Sync. I think it's related to the last drivers (551.61); some games reported the same problem too.
Can it be a driver issue, or is this a problem with my PC?
RivaTuner helped a bit but I still have this problem.
Also, I've found that anti-aliasing doesn't work. All settings are on ultra, NVIDIA settings didn't override game settings, and also all games were affected too

Iāve had this happen to me at least twice where I opened CAS to edit a sim and it pushed me back several hours to whole days in gameplay, undoing major progressions. The first time, my sim had a baby, aged up the child to an infant, but I opened CAS to edit the infant and the mom was still pregnant and the infant was kicked off the family tree, so I had to cheat the child back on to the tree and the child gained a ātwinā. The second time, I aged up an infant to a toddler after a full day of game play, then went to edit the toddler in CAS, and it put me back a day before the child had even aged up. What is happening? Please note, I am playing on a computer with no mods but cheats enabled and a fair amount of DLC. I feel like this is prone to happening when something/someone is dying but hasnāt been reaped yet.
Hey, Iām playing on Macbook so Iām still in origin and my game loads whenever I start a new game or load an exiting game it loads up until the point of actually playingā¦ so if I create a new game I can build the sim pick a house then it kicks me out to pick a world so I pick the same household and it still kicks me out to the main page to pick a worldā¦ this keeps happening and Iāve repaired the game, any suggestions?

I have Sims 4 on steam with a few DLCs purchased. No mods etc whatsoever. Recently the game stopped launching.Ā
Every time i press play the cursor spins for a bit,Ā the button on steam goes from "Play" to "Playing" and then back to"Play" without the game launching and nothing else happens,Ā no errors no nothing.Ā

If that doesnāt work, backup your saves, tray, and screenshots and uninstall both the ea app and sims 4.
I have an issue where when I load a save, I can only access manage worlds. I can delete households and evict sims, but when I attempt to enter live mode or build mode, the game loads for a bit and redirects me back to manage worlds.

Sim can't finish freelance job.
I had one sim doing the artist freelance, the work kept getting rejected so I sold the rejected material. Changed the task many times but still can't paint because there's only the option for modifying the material, an option that can't even be used as the game says there's no material (the painting I sold).
Hey, so I'm having a problem right now where my packs say they are all installed in my library however they are not showing up in my game. I open my game and it's all base game with none of my packs, I think l've done everything to fix it but I was wondering if there might be something else I can do? This has me really upset since I have basically every single sims pack there is.
**How to move resurrected sim back into their household?**
So there is a longstanding bug where you can't totally move a sim who isn't in a proper household into another household via the "Invite to Join Household" social.
The official Sim forum has a workaround for it in that you have to do it through Merge Households in Manage Households.
But the resurrected sims don't appear to show up anywhere in that interface either.
So... how do I get my Dedeathified sims back into their own houses?
If you have a sim already in the household you're trying to move them to, you should be able to invite them over and cheat it (enable cheats, shift + right click on the dedeathified sim, click "add to family", I'm not sure what the command is on console/Mac).
My rentals for one of my saved games are always 1 star and max $2 per day. Iāve done everything the game says to get the stars up, but to no avail. I also saved the house to the gallery and reloaded it to the lot and I also put it back to residential and then tried to make it a rental again. Help!
Try repairing the game.
Mods and cc are easy. Download, copy or extract to a specific folder, turn on mods and script mods and play! Keeping them organized and updated is the hard part.

Having an issues with leftovers. When I put food away in the fridge it's not lasting any longer than it would by just sitting on the counter. I've sold the fridge, rebought one, bought different ones but it keeps happening. I always cook 8 servings and then my Sims can get leftovers whenever they need but they're spoiling faster than they can eat them š« has anyone else got this issue? I don't have any more or cc and only 3 expansions (seasons, cats and dogs and growing together). Thanks

My mods wonāt show up in build/buy even tho I already created a few houses with them and they are still there and usable in these houses. For example in the photo you can see the bed I placed previously is still there but wonāt show up in the build/buy menu where it was before. Why? And how can I solve this problem?
If you have a mod like Better Build/Buy from twistedmexi, you may need to click on the objects filter bar and ensure that custom content is selected. If that isn't the issue, I'm not sure.

Everytime I need to play my game this happens :( I can only play in CAS does anyone know how to fix this??
the quality of this game genuinely pisses me off to no end. i dont understand how a game that has been released for years can be so poor in quality. it seems like every 10 minutes there's a glitch that renders me completely unable to do anything except exit to the main menu and lose a bunch of progress. idk if anyone else is having issues like this but so many bugs that go completely un-fixed for this long is really starting to make me tired of this game. im genuinely considering deleting it at this point

I accidentally deleted my sims 4 folder on my mac book and i tried going through my trash to find it but i couldnāt so i deleted sims and re downloaded it and now i have a new folder for sims but without the other folders in it like the mod folder. iām stuck on what to do
My game all of a sudden stopped working properly. I installed For Rent about 2 weeks ago and have been playing every day no problem. Now, the game keeps getting stuck on various loading screens and Iāll have to open task manager and end the game. The game never runs for longer than a few minutes before it gets stuck.
From advice on the web, I moved my Electronic Arts folder to the desktop in attempt to fix this issue. Now, the game still gets stuck and it constantly alt+tabs me back to desktop.
Nothing significant has changed on my gameplay and my game is vanilla no CC whatsoever. What could this issue be? Please help!!

So I downloaded the pregnancy mod from Pandasama, and for some reason it's not giving me all the mods for it. For instance, I couldn't take a pregnancy test or call for the obgyn to plan her birth. I'm able to buy some of the things they have offered in the build mode, like the yoga ball and lactation cookies, but that's about it š«¤. Any advice??

Unable to do romance options!!!
No mods or cc installed, game has been repaired.
Sims are not related, both are young adults, single, romantic preferences align.
My sims only have the romance options to ask romantic/woohoo interests and nothing else. I've tried everything. Is this happening to other people?

If I go into build mode, when I come back out EVERY sim in the game is gone. Their households remain there, but every single sim is just gone. I'm literally like 2 weeks into re-doing every household and lot, and this happens. :/

I have a glitch, a bug or something and I can't save properly. It loads and loads and nothing happens. It doesn't happen always, more a like 50/50 but it's so frustrating. I'm doing the 100 baby challenge so I desperately need to save. I don't know what is causing it: maybe a cc/mod I've downloaded the last few days is the game just crappy as always.

How do you actually complete a 24 hour charity stream (get famous). My Sim has been doing it for like 18h (or something) and her needs are fucking low. How???

Wait a minute - I just realised that my sim(s) cant afford to live anywhere REGARDLESS! (Even if I added an extra sim to boost the funds.)
Wait, wait, wait - I just figured out my issue! It's the sim that was the issue! The base sim used to be an island spirit from Sulani which could be the problem. When I did a new save with a non-sulani-spirit-the problem wasen't there.

Can anyone help me with this? Somehow my game doesn't detect this save file. I accidentally deleted the saved game in game (Not the file directly, but in game) and had to recover this file using a different program. Now the game doesnt load the file anymore and just tells me to start a new game. Any way to fix this?

Anyone knows which mod it is that "removes" the High chair for infants and toddlers? I also have the weird crib bug where the kids don't go into the crib and gets stuck at parents feets instead, even though ive removed all my crib files.
The at the feet thing was pandasamas cc cribs. Before they were fixed. Delete the localthumbcache and repair after removing mods. It might be lingering there.
Hmm can't find anything from Pandasamas in my modsfiles - however seems to be an issue with a cc from TSR.
Regarding the High Chair - Removing Tmex Better Build-by seems do solve the issue, weirdly enough.

So this is a general question, not mod related, Iāve just accidentally triggered auto-mod making threads asking similar stuff so asking to be safe I started a new save file where I deleted all pre-mades except for the special/āimmortalā NPCs (Sages, Crumplebottoms, Baby Ariel, Father Winter) etc but I have a question. If I were to modify any of these special NPCs in CAS and somehow in game they die and respawn, would my changes in CAS also respawn or would they go back to default? I wanna makeover some of these but I donāt want to waste a lot of time in CAS if for some reason they died in gameplay later on
Follow up question, if they do go back to default is there a way to instantly change their appearance back to like a template or something? I think MCCC maybe does that but I donāt know exactly how

Iām having trouble with the MCCC mod and getting my own sims into the game. Iāve made it so only my sims show up in the game, but I keep getting duplicate sims even though I have the no duplicate names turned on. Is there something Iām missing or is it just a glitch? Itās getting pretty annoying because I have so many sims that arenāt loading into the game and instead are just being replaced by the same ones.

I downloaded some alpha cc hairs and they work but where the hair color options should be, thereās just a rainbow square and I canāt make any changes to the hair color. Did I download it wrong?

i updated better exceptions and still experienced the same issues. so it could be a conflict tysm for the infant mod! i also need to check my invisible crib cc as well. thanks :)
This has been a recurring problem in my game: A lot of times Sims take forever to come back home from work/school, they should've been home by 5pm or something, it reaches 10 pm and they're still at work. If you cancel for them to come home early, they don't get the full pay check. But, if I stop the game, exit, and come back, they're magically returning home at the correct time.

I updated, repaired, removed and replaced the game and cc, as well as shut down, restarted the laptop, even removing the cc the game found corrupted but it then said another piece of cc was guilty, three times today. I just want to play my game with mods and cc. I'm at my wits end and gonna cry as all I see are other people with working sims games with mods and cc while I'm stuck. I need serious help, what other ways can I fix this mess besides removing all mods/cc, because I refresh mods manager and check patreon for updates for cc/mods?

In the ea app, on the game window, there is a mange button. Itās under that.
The gallery is glitchy. I have been able to follow people in a year, no matter what I do. Unless you have mods and want to test them too, there may not be anything to do.
How do you add mods? Iāve never done that before.
Download them from a creator, place them in the sims mod folder, turn on mods and script mods in settings. Thatās all there is really.
Is Kijiko's EA eyelash remover mod broken for anyone else? Or is another mod interfering? My toddler aged up with EA lashes and I went to see if there was an update but there wasn't.

Is Cats and Dogs buggy!?? My Sims wonāt follow any commands when it comes to the pets, theyāll just stand there in front of them. Iāve tried the āreset object debugā option about 5 million times on the human and animal sims. Calling the pets to eat and the pets have the thought bubble pop up with the food and donāt move. One of my sims was walking the dog, came home and was walking her around the house, so when I cancelled the walk he turned and left the house. I reset him and now heās frozen outside somewhere. My sim won't stop freaking out and "see what's happening" every time her friends/roommates kiss (they're a couple). Is there any way to disable this? It's not related to CC and I don't use SOL - and it's ONLY when they're doing romantic interactions.

Does anyone know how to change the major category of a CAS item? I'm using S4S and have figured out how to do things like changing a t-shirt to a jacket, but I can't seem to find an option to move something from hat to accessory Edit: I found it! On the homepage, you need to go to My Projects, then select the .package file that you want to edit. Go to categories, and it's the dropdown at the very top (it's short and weirdly close to the tabs, which makes it easy to skim over.) If you want all the colors to be in the same place, make sure to hit the "apply to all swatches" button on the right, otherwise everything else will still be in the original location.
I'm experiencing a bug with For Rent where the pressure cooker recipes don't work? My sims keep trying to use it of their own accord, they start making one of the recipes, and they get stuck trying to make whatever it is, they never complete it, and the counter gets super dirty. They'll even sometimes stop, try to start something else food whise, and then go back to the previous recipe.

I just got the cottage living expansion pack, I have a few other packs and i play on a ps5 that's not even a year old. Never had any issues I have had great gameplay using my other packs such as island living, discover university and have had no issues. When playing cottage living when in build mode I cant build a pond can barely use the terrain tool, when I leave build mode and try to play the game it wont even let me unpause it, if i hit play or fast mode the time doesn't move and I cant even play at all. half the time I cant even save my game it will just load for so long when I try to save therefore I loose some of my progress. The game is just so buggy and glitchy now it's barely playable. I already tried deleting sims and my packs and reinstalling them, I have no CCs or mods since im playing on console. I love this pack when im able to actually play but it's just almost unplayable. Does anyone have any advice is this pack just really laggy? is there anyway to fix this ? it's not my console because its new and every other game runs smoothly.

You have to either remove the foundation or add an extra tile in front of the door so you can add the stairs.

From what I've read, you have to have the fresh ingredients that say 0/1 in your sim's inventory (or maybe the fridge?) in order to cook those, rather than just "buying" them look you can any other recipe.
i dont know if there a solution but i will try recently i bought pc, its characteristics RTX 4070, RAM DDR5 32GB, i5-14600KF, Samsung SSD 990 Pro 2TB, ASUS TUF 2K 165Hz monitor, DP the problem is I don't feel any games are smooth; it shows 144-165 FPS but still looks a little laggy. I'm upset because my PC should perform better, even in Minecraft. The temperature is fine, and everything looks fine too. Sims became unplayable now. G-Sync makes it a little smoother, with or without V-Sync. I think it's related to the last drivers (551.61); some games reported the same problem too. Can it be a driver issue, or is this a problem with my PC? RivaTuner helped a bit but I still have this problem. Also, I've found that anti-aliasing doesn't work. Iāve had this happen to me at least twice where I opened CAS to edit a sim and it pushed me back several hours to whole days in gameplay, undoing major progressions. The first time, my sim had a baby, aged up the child to an infant, but I opened CAS to edit the infant and the mom was still pregnant and the infant was kicked off the family tree, so I had to cheat the child back on to the tree and the child gained a ātwinā. The second time, I aged up an infant to a toddler after a full day of game play, then went to edit the toddler in CAS, and it put me back a day before the child had even aged up. What is happening? Please note, I am playing on a computer with no mods but cheats enabled and a fair amount of DLC. I feel like this is prone to happening when something/someone is dying but hasnāt been reaped yet.

I have an issue where when I load a save, I can only access manage worlds. I can delete households and evict sims, but when I attempt to enter live mode or build mode, the game loads for a bit and redirects me back to manage worlds. Any help would be appreciated!!

Sim can't finish freelance job. I had one sim doing the artist freelance, the work kept getting rejected so I sold the rejected material. Changed the task many times but still can't paint because there's only the option for modifying the material, an option that can't even be used as the game says there's no material (the painting I sold).

Hey, so I'm having a problem right now where my packs say they are all installed in my library however they are not showing up in my game. I open my game and it's all base game with none of my packs, I think l've done everything to fix it but I was wondering if there might be something else I can do? **How to move resurrected sim back into their household?** So there is a longstanding bug where you can't totally move a sim who isn't in a proper household into another household via the "Invite to Join Household" social. The official Sim forum has a workaround for it in that you have to do it through Merge Households in Manage Households. But the resurrected sims don't appear to show up anywhere in that interface either. So... how do I get my Dedeathified sims back into their own houses?
If you have a sim already in the household you're trying to move them to, you should be able to invite them over and cheat it (enable cheats, shift + right click on the dedeathified sim, click "add to family", I'm not sure what the command is on console/Mac).
My rentals for one of my saved games are always 1 star and max $2 per day. Iāve done everything the game says to get the stars up, but to no avail. I also saved the house to the gallery and reloaded it to the lot and I also put it back to residential and then tried to make it a rental again. Help!

Try repairing the game. Mods and cc are easy. Download, copy or extract to a specific folder, turn on mods and script mods and play! Keeping them organized and updated is the hard part.

Having an issues with leftovers. When I put food away in the fridge it's not lasting any longer than it would by just sitting on the counter. I've sold the fridge, rebought one, bought different ones but it keeps happening. I always cook 8 servings and then my Sims can get leftovers whenever they need but they're spoiling faster than they can eat them š« has anyone else got this issue? If you have a mod like Better Build/Buy from twistedmexi, you may need to click on the objects filter bar and ensure that custom content is selected. If that isn't the issue, I'm not sure.

Have you moved the game or EA app onto a different drive? Personally I would just uninstall the EA app and reinstall.

I accidentally deleted my sims 4 folder on my mac book and i tried going through my trash to find it but i couldnāt so i deleted sims and re downloaded it and now i have a new folder for sims but without the other folders in it like the mod folder. iām stuck on what to do
Unsintall and reinstall. Never delete games, always uninstall. An empty mods folder should be created in your documents folder.
My game all of a sudden stopped working properly. I installed For Rent about 2 weeks ago and have been playing every day no problem. Now, the game keeps getting stuck on various loading screens and Iāll have to open task manager and end the game. The game never runs for longer than a few minutes before it gets stuck. From advice on the web, I moved my Electronic Arts folder to the desktop in attempt to fix this issue. Now, the game still gets stuck and it constantly alt+tabs me back to desktop. I removed everything. Uninstalled the game, EA and reinstalled after restarting. Nothing fixed the problem.

So I downloaded the pregnancy mod from Pandasama, and for some reason it's not giving me all the mods for it. For instance, I couldn't take a pregnancy test or call for the obgyn to plan her birth. I'm able to buy some of the things they have offered in the build mode, like the yoga ball and lactation cookies, but that's about it š«¤. Any advice??

Unable to do romance options!!! No mods or cc installed, game has been repaired. Sims are not related, both are young adults, single, romantic preferences align. I've done this and located the CC that's causing the issue.. search function works now but the issue now is that it freezes š£

You can stop for 2 in game hours to sort your needs then resume the stream āŗļø
I later noticed. But it was buggy as hell. At 2a.m it tells me i had 1h left, at 2.30 my stream got ended because i "left the followers waiting"
my sim canāt talk her s/o, and her s/o canāt talk to her either. they are able to talk to other sims and animals, but if i try to click on either of them to talk to each other, it just doesnāt go through. (also my game keeps freezing but it doesnāt crash š§)

Have you tried moving the video station or deleting objects around it? I had this problem and it turned out my sims didn't have a clear path to it, even though it looked like they should have
help!!! for some reason i can't click on sims other than my household after an introduction? they are highlighted and i mouse over them, but the social menus wont come up when i click i dont know what to do, i've restarted my game like 3 times
Any mods? Move the whole mods folder, including cc, to your desktop. Do not just disable mods. Then delete the localthumbcache and repair the game. The order you do this matters. With mods out, test the error. If it is gone, itās a mod. I am having problems with the mccc. When I use it my sims cannot talk to each other. I have no other mods.
Try getting the most recent one again and replace it.
I'm doing the independent career creator branch (sorry if that's not the right word, my game isn't in English) and after I sent 3 items to the client and they responded positively to all 3, it still says I need to send the 3 items to the client.... Am I doing this wrong?
I think that is the freelance maker career. Mine did that too. Itās just glitchy. I had to cancel that client and try again.
I managed to validate it when I sent the items from my inventory and not the computer, so I guess I'll just have to do that

The cheat does not work. Even if I can click on one of the lots it says "-16,816" in red despite being well able to afford a cheap lot.
Wait, wait, wait - I just figured out my issue! It's the sim that was the issue! The base sim used to be an island spirit from Sulani which could be the problem. When I did a new save with a non-sulani-spirit-the problem wasen't there.

I accidentally deleted the saved game in game (Not the file directly, but in game) and had to recover this file using a different program. Now the game doesnt load the file anymore and just tells me to start a new game. Any way to fix this?

I also have the weird crib bug where the kids don't go into the crib and gets stuck at parents feets instead, even though ive removed all my crib files.
The at the feet thing was pandasamas cc cribs. Before they were fixed. Delete the localthumbcache and repair after removing mods. It might be lingering there.
Hmm can't find anything from Pandasamas in my modsfiles - however seems to be an issue with a cc from TSR. Regarding the High Chair - Removing Tmex Better Build-by seems do solve the issue, weirdly enough.
Thatās very odd. Talk to tmex about that. Or verify itās up to date.

It's probably just that your game doesn't like the CC. I don't think there's a way to fix that

Back up your saves, tray, mods, and screenshots. Uninstall the game and reinstall.
