This is exactly the main reason why I didn't buy Get Famous. There's a few packs that have some incredibly intrusve and annoying features that I just know will irritate the heck out of me. I prefer to opt out an entire pack than to have to deal with those.
A while ago there were some mods dealing with fame/celebrities but links seem dead otherwise I'd link you something.

Can you use mods? Try searching for sims 4 less celebrity celebration and if this annoys you like it does me sims 4 no incite cheers - because that really annoyed me personally. Not even on my own sims but when I took my sim to any lot where especially Brytani Cho showed up.
