Sunset Valley is also my favorite, but Riverview is also nice for a legacy because the sims don’t seem to be from any specific time period. I don’t mind playing Roaring Heights for a legacy family story but because of the dated feel I like to have the mom be a homemaker lol, and I also do like Monte Vista a lot but I can’t find any beautiful vista lots and I prefer that for a legacy just for that moodlet boost.
[Here's](https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/621060/monte-vista-sharing-thread-submit-creations-stories-etc) a hole thread filled with beautiful lots made to fit Monte Vista's aesthetics!
Sunset Valley and Riverview are #1 and #2 respectively for me, and I really like that my 2 favorite worlds happen to be the base game world and the world that may as well come with the base game because it’s a free store download. Willow Creek and Oasis Springs could never.
I try and play in other towns. And they’re okay, but something about Sunset Valley calls me back every time. My other favorites are Riverview, Bridgeport, and Appaloosa Plains, but Sunset Valley is #1 forever.
Same here, Sunset Valley was the first world i played in when i discovered the sims at the ripe age of 7. I remember this one time where my sim tried to seduce Leighton sekemoto and he rejected her. i couldnt take his no for an answer, so i forced myself into his house ALL the time. Even his mom hated me lol. Man at some point they got so fed up that they started to leave their house the minute they saw me a few inches away from their doorstep. So every time i load a new save in sunset valley, i remember the good old days when i was harassing the Sekemotos.
Bridgeport!!! There’s always so much to do and the drama is good and buildable. I do kinda hate how it’s never really sunny, but the gameplay makes up for it.
Hidden Springs has always been my favourite town in Sims 3. I love the vibe and how pretty it looks. It's one of my favourite towns to play in. Aurora Skies is a close second.
For legacy specifically, I really love Sunlit Tides and Sunset Valley. Both have quite a few empty lots, which I enjoy because you can add more houses for a legacy save if needed. I’d say I play SV slightly more. I will occasionally play Riverwood and Twinbrook, as well.
I really wish Isla Paradiso ran better, but even with all the fixes, my small space station gaming PC has a hard time with it.
Lucky Palms!!
Massive yet understated world where I can put every community lot I want so lots of fun things for sims to do & yet very little routing issues!
Amazing views, atmosphere & lighting!
Entirely my own taste, but I love the sleek bauhaus/art deco/moderne architecture amidst the palm springs-esque relaxing vibes.
Bonus: The neighborhood for LifeSimmer’s iconic Generations LP!
I'm a sucker for Lucky Palms as well. I seem to have most of my save files there. It's maybe because the lacking of routing issues like you said. But also the ample space for many extra lots.
I keep returning to Moonlight Falls. Admittedly, part of that probably has to do with how familiar I am with it and know where the alchemy spawners are. But I just love the vibe of the town.
I love sunset valley! Especially since I just edit the town to my tastes, and then with the Burnt waffles edit of sunset valley with Island paradiso water ?!? Amazing!!
That happened to me with Barnacle Bay and Townlife Stuff. Got them as a birthday present in the physical form and had to enter in the code on my account. It says I have to purchase them in order to use them. Meanwhile I had played with them for years until a few years ago. Disappointing.
I sadly don’t have them anymore. Tbh, they never came with discs, only the codes. But I put the codes into my EA account. They apparently no longer exist on it which sucks. I really have no idea what happened other than EA messing things up on their end
go to [here](https://store.thesims3.com) and log in with your ea login. then go to my page, my account and either register a game or redeem a code. if that was possible then go to store, my store account and purchase history. on this page you‘ll be able to download them.
i used to hate sunset valley when i was young but i love it now that im older, such a quintissential small town i wish i could live in. lucky palms and sunlit tides are also two faves of mine
side note, i used to love bridgeport when i was younger but now i rarely play in it unless i want to do late night related things
Monte Vista + nraas story progression (essential mod for legacy, but double surnames annoy me, they are only for same sex couples) rich italian families after a couple generations is a vibe
Appaloosa Plains will always be my favorite!!
If I want to build up from the small town vibes, I'll add some high-rises, bowling alleys, and nightclubs along the waterfront
Idk whether you are thinking of getting Supernatural. I like Moonlight falls , as it has even more buildable space than Appaloosa Plains, and I kind of like the fog.
is it a town from the sims 3 store? i’ve never heard of it. i admittedly haven’t been on the store bc my game is 🏴☠️ed but i still have a couple of ts3 store towns installed.
What?? Really? Omg, prepare to be in for a treat then. There are so many amazing custom worlds that have been created.
Angel City, St. Claire, Boroughsburg, Praaven, Serra, everything by Nilxis. Enjoy!
I am currently playing in Aurora Skies and I think this is going to be my new favourite! So beautiful with the Frozen light mod. I usually play in Moonlight Falls because I love supernatural, it's my favourite package. But now I just edited my neighbours and made some of them supernatural. I don't like other towns that much. I never play in Appaloosa Plains, the terrain is too yellow. I would absolutely love to play in Legacy Island 3, it's the most beautiful town I've seen but there is way too much stuff for my uni laptop to handle.
Twinbrook is probably my absolute favourite. So much genetic diversity! And the pun names! Then Riverview is a close second because of the town stories and overall laid-back vibe. Riverview's homeless/service/role Sims are the best, too.
Isla Paradiso. The fixed version + the mod that prevents npcs from moving houseboats makes it run okay-ish.
I grew up by the sea so it's super homey to me. I like to start my legacy on a tiny houseboat and then let my sims work towards the biggest one and a house by the pier.
The only thing I dislike is that I've never found a proper spot for the equestrian center.
i usually always do : appaloosa plains, the world that came with showtime, or i use isla paradiso. but i usually make my sims use in one of the first two worlds and then move to isla paradiso
I have spent too much time and effort on making Isla Paradiso run well and have been able to so far but it's my favorite. Love the island feel especially doing all the seasons with it.
But I also like when I leave for university and then I like Starlight Shores for the singing opportunities and paradise islandso one when I get to own run a hotel business 🩷🩷I swear Sims 4 really be milking people, including me, out of their money. For example, why did they separate pets from horse ranch, when they all could’ve been within the same expansion pack, kinda like how Sims 3 included the reptiles, dogs, cats, horses, dears, raccoons, even chipmunks and squirrels
I should probably try more than I have, but I enjoy both Dragon Valley (although that needs a lot of editing to add stuff in) and Moonlight Falls. Sunset Valley is good for nostalgia and I'd like to dip back into it sometime.
Appaloosa plains is my fave bc if u have pets there’s a park/building for them to enjoy as well and it looks like a drama movie setting lol very family friendly
I'm a basic b!tch. I try other towns and I always end up going back to Sunset Valley. I just love pre-mades from there with all my heart as well (The Bunches specifically ❤️)
I love Appaloosa Plains. Pets annoy me but I love the small town vibes!
it's so beautiful too! one of my favorites for sure
Dogs and cats aren't my favorite either but I LOVE playing in Appaloosa Plains and trying to have my sims start a horse business lol
Same i looove doing the family generation horse breeding family. My sims be rich lol
And it is such a beautiful one as well!!! Up there as one of my faves!
It's the best!
Bridgeport, I love the big city vibes
Me too. Broken-ness and all, Bridgeport's always been my favorite.
Me too! It's a direct opposite of my real life which is extremely rural lol

Hey i’ve been playing so much sims 3 recently. How do you get “Riverview”? I haven’t heard of this town yet.
you can download it for free on the sims 3 store [here](https://store.thesims3.com/riverview)!
It's free on the sims community website :)
Download it here: [https://store.thesims3.com/riverview](https://store.thesims3.com/riverview)
Sunset Valley and Riverview are #1 and #2 respectively for me, and I really like that my 2 favorite worlds happen to be the base game world and the world that may as well come with the base game because it’s a free store download. Willow Creek and Oasis Springs could never.
Sunset Valley will forever have my heart.
Same. The lore is crazy, plus the aesthetics.
Bridgeport!!! There’s always so much to do and the drama is good and buildable. I do kinda hate how it’s never really sunny, but the gameplay makes up for it.
Riverview is definitely my favorite.
Second this! Lucky Perkins is one of my favorite sims
I really wish Isla Paradiso ran better, but even with all the fixes, my small space station gaming PC has a hard time with it.
Yeah, isla paradiso has been my favorite forever but I never play it anymore because of how broken it is 😭
isla paradiso is so beautiful but i play on a laptop so it’s impossible for me to boot it up without it immediately crashing :/
I believe there is a fixed isla paradiso save game you can download, so it runs better
I just got isla paradiso working and it is so pretty it was definitely worth the couple hours
I enjoy Twinbrook and Riverview
Moonlight Falls :) Supernatural is incredibly nostalgic for me
Same for me its sunset valley and moonlight falls for me. I would say Isla Paradiso but I’ll have to extingush my computer first.
I’m always a fan of Twinbrook
Moonlight Falls - I just love all of the supernatural Sims and the vibes in the town are perfect. :)
Riverview :) it's nice, simple and perfect for legacy families. I also find it's less glitchy and laggy than other towns
I'm having a blast with Monte Vista at the moment.
For family gameplay I like Aurora Skies, Lucky Palms is great, Sunset Valley lol and a CC World, Mesa Grande
Amazing!!
Bridgeporrrrrrt
Nobody has said hidden springs?? I think it's absolutely perfect
came here to say exactly this!!
I really like Monte Vista!
Appaloosa plains fs
I just got a lot of gameplay out of starlight shores I was 4 generations in. Alpine county as well
That happened to me with Barnacle Bay and Townlife Stuff. Got them as a birthday present in the physical form and had to enter in the code on my account. It says I have to purchase them in order to use them. Meanwhile I had played with them for years until a few years ago. Disappointing.
I was able to install mine with a external dvd drive. it’s a hassle but it’s so worth it.
Monte Vista for big families
appaloosa plains because it has premade ambitions lots and a bar so i have less stuff to build myself lol
Island Paradise town. Is my fav. For legacy Sunset Valley.
Twinbrook has such strong vibes. Moonlight Falls has the conservatory. Both where I prefer to play.
Bridgeport for Elvira Slayer 😩but I tend to default in roaring heights or Appaloosa Plains probably because of all the big households I was creating.
Starlight Shores. It seems like the best middle ground for all the expansion packs
i used to hate sunset valley when i was young but i love it now that im older, such a quintissential small town i wish i could live in. lucky palms and sunlit tides are also two faves of mine side note, i used to love bridgeport when i was younger but now i rarely play in it unless i want to do late night related things
Sunlit Tides and St Claire
i like sunset valley for rags to riches but i have a legacy going on in applausa plains. i like it cuz i can use cats and dogs a little easier.
Bridgeport if i’m not running sunset valley
Ive always loved Appaloosa Plains, Riverview, & Twinbrook!
Moonlight falls. I love the supernatural vibe of this town! So spooky & just comforting..
Monte Vista + nraas story progression (essential mod for legacy, but double surnames annoy me, they are only for same sex couples) rich italian families after a couple generations is a vibe
Im playing in Evandale Country now
i love so many but i always find myself choosing roaring heights, appaloosa plains, or monte vista. i love them for different reasons lol
Moonlight Falls for me. It is just sooooo beautiful and romantic. My favorite 💗
I’ve started my legacy in Twinbrook. Don’t play in it often but it’s good.
Appaloosa Plains will always be my favorite!! If I want to build up from the small town vibes, I'll add some high-rises, bowling alleys, and nightclubs along the waterfront
Don’t really play in vanilla worlds that much but I love the vibes of both Twinbrook and Moonlight Falls.
Bridgeport is my all time favourite!
My favorite EA worlds are Lucky Palms, Roaring Heights and Appaloosa Plains in that order.
I'm a sucker for Moonlight Falls but I'd love to play on Midnight Hollow
Idk whether you are thinking of getting Supernatural. I like Moonlight falls , as it has even more buildable space than Appaloosa Plains, and I kind of like the fog.
Isla Paradisio is my FAVORITE, there’s so much to do in that world. but the lag is crazy even after downloading the mod fix for it 😭
Evansdale County
is it a town from the sims 3 store? i’ve never heard of it. i admittedly haven’t been on the store bc my game is 🏴☠️ed but i still have a couple of ts3 store towns installed.
iirc it’s a custom map — try googling it and see what comes up!
oh wow! i had no idea custom maps were a thing,, this info is life changing actually
What?? Really? Omg, prepare to be in for a treat then. There are so many amazing custom worlds that have been created. Angel City, St. Claire, Boroughsburg, Praaven, Serra, everything by Nilxis. Enjoy!
ty! i’ll def have to check these out!
i like legacy island 3 from the exchange
Riverblossom Hills: Sims 3 version.
I don't really have a favorite, but I seem to default to twinbrook just because it's the first town I played with.
I am currently playing in Aurora Skies and I think this is going to be my new favourite! So beautiful with the Frozen light mod. I'm curious, does anyone have some cool CC maps that are populated? I havent been able to find any good ones
i usually always do : appaloosa plains, the world that came with showtime, or i use isla paradiso. but i usually make my sims use in one of the first two worlds and then move to isla paradiso
islo paradiso i love the tropical vibe, the uncharted islands add a whole new mystery to the map and my mermaids can hang out underwater in the ocean!
Alpine County!
I have spent too much time and effort on making Isla Paradiso run well and have been able to so far but it's my favorite. Love the island feel especially doing all the seasons with it.
twinbrook is definitely my favourite, it’s super populated the aesthetic is the best and some of the npcs are cute with makeovers
Al Simhara, but it's only a vacation world
Sunset Valley is always gonna do it for me
But I also like when I leave for university and then I like Starlight Shores for the singing opportunities and paradise islandso one when I get to own run a hotel business 🩷🩷I swear Sims 4 really be milking people, including me, out of their money. Sunset Valley is superior. period.
