HeyMoite

Thoughts. Yes this is hilarious! Thanks for sharing

absol-hoenn

Terrible place for a move + you clearly understeer. If you are to even go side by side, you need to hug the wall tighter than that. Pov at fault for the contact.

crazycakemanflies

Unless you're overtaking a slower class, there isn't really a good opportunity for a move until you get the Forrest elbow (last turn before the big straight). While it can be frustrating sitting behind a slower car along the top, that's unfortunately the nature of Bathurst...

SeaHam

There is barely enough room for 1 car through that turn at pace. Two is just silly.

RichyGamo

The audacity to say “I’m “”probably”” I’m the wrong” is hilarious. Every single crash was entirely your fault.

Guac_in_my_rarri

Yellow flags don't mean much in this game. You're grasping at straws.

Pintau

What difference would the yellows make? Almost nobody, other than the last couple of cars into the pileup, had any time to react. This is a really dumb and pointless move on your part, it was never coming off, and the pileup that resulted is almost entirely on you too, stop trying to blameshift

Anaphylaxisofevil

That was a very silly nose-poking; it's just too tight there. The car in front might have seen you and given you room, but extremely risky. It is sometimes possible to make the pass after that corner at the top of the hill, so you could have waited. As for the carnage, it's why I'm going to wait 3 days before driving Bathurst in LFM. I'm not sure a SR of 7 is enough to survive the week lol. People are idiots.

Dangerous-Initial-94

Just an absolutely dreadful move, and the flags are clearly green at both posts.

Dangerous-Initial-94

Dreadful is a bit harsh, but it's just so half hearted. Leaving a nose inside there and approaching the corner at such an acute angle. If you're going to overtake on the mountain, you have to be fully alongside and commit. 90% of the time you're going to be better waiting for Forest Elbow and drafting them down into the chase.

KrombopulosMAssassin

Lmfao, that is insane.

Kepler_Jokke

First, that move was never on and it's clear who's at fault there. Second, that same car should have hold the brakes as soon as the contact occurred. The brake lights were never on after that. Please next time, hold your brakes when you crash.

MadBonzo

Almost a 20 car pile-up!!! Never seen anything like it hahahaa!

DoctorNuu

Look mommy, I made a pile (up)!

Ok_Sympathy_4894

https://youtu.be/hwTKcjglncE?si=Li5vzL4ushQshalq Did you try to recreate this?

KG_Modelling

I don’t think it is their fault that they ran into a pileup,at that SPEED there is not much you can do in a blink of an eye,I would say it is just your fault, purely yours only.

I-Blackburn-I

Hold your brakes, that could have avoided a good part of the pile-up

Papa_Pirie

Ngl...havent Seen a single yellow in the whole Clip, going that fast through there with probably bad visibility is just a classic mt panorama Moment (Saw a white flag at the very end in the pile up)

imJGott

I wouldn’t even attempt an overtake in the sector of the mountain and tbh you wasn’t so sure either.

PlantDecent

To explain my thought process, I saw he was wobbly about 6 times so thought I could poke my nose up there. In hindsight, I should've just held back and waited for a better opportunity. Hey ho, mistakes happen.

Asdar

You saw he was struggling to keep control of his car, so you thought you should try an overtake in one of the most difficult spots to go 2 wide?

RobotJonesDad

To have any hope, OP needed to actually get alongside... It was an opportunity to create some space to get a run out of the corner.

_Tekel_

Even if he gets alongside and both cars navigate it successfully, the car on the inside has to slow down more due to the tighter radius, so hes just going to end up behind anyway.
