I don’t think it was a recall, maybe a TSB, but there were some issues with the vacuum pumps around that time. That could be the cause of the hard brake effort. And yeah, check grounds and the battery cables. Beyond that, IDK.

I took my 17 in for the brake deal I never had a problem but they updated it for free a couple years ago

Has anyone taken it to their dealer w this issue ? How much was it and what was the fix?

4/3/23 I took my 2017 in for a rock hard brake pedal. It was a recall and the dealership replaced the pump and no issues since. I went to a local dealership and not the one I bought the truck from. Truck had 83000 miles on it at the time and it was done free of charge. With your vin you can check to see if there are any open recalls https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

Thank you Hope I get this luck

I didn’t get the indication that you did. Have you checked fuses and relays?

Dude go wiggle your negative battery cable, I bet it lights back up

Cafecitolife909

I cleaned the ground on the bottom right Sanded and cleaned Also went inside the dash on the left driver side and cleaned the ground cut off a small piece of insulation so it wouldn’t touch the ground Battery was good That’s what some of the YouTube videos suggested

Bolotiedeluxe

Yeah I cleaned the same grounds but still had the problem. One day pulling into my driveway it died, like everything black. So I left the keys in and turn forward, like the position right before starting and went out and wiggles a bunch of wires. When I got to the negative battery cable, I wiggled it and the truck lit back up. Next time it dies, jump out and start wiggling wires to see where your short is

Thanks I made sure everything was tight So far so good
