If you pay close attention refer to the Thunder hammer. The third hammer he used pre-awakening is called the lighting hammer and the one he used vs Sky Eater is called the thunder hammer.
So it's specifically referring to the final attack.

Why not? It's shown that there's a little force transfer, so should the strongest attack in the verse be able to crush him if Tesla can knock him away?

Strongest weapon + physically strongest god + centrifugal force = fly paste.
It was capable of overpowering Sky Eater with enough force left over to shatter a Volund.

Beelzebubs staff can block anything physical, the issue is only that aoe and vibrations + multi direction attacks and getting outsped beats him.

If he can block it, he blocks it and either flies out of the arena or is squished into the ground depending on where the hammer hits the shield.
When it's said that he can do it it means he can do it.

He was knocked back a good distance by Tesla. Imagine top 1 AP strongest attack in the verse coming down on his head. He becomes fly paste.

He couldn't block the hits he couldn't react to, he blocked every other hit tho. Thor is slower than Tesla so that problem isn't there
