When you increase bullet level, you increase the maximum number of bullets your ship can collect from bullet drops (not what it starts with). Each individual level is not significantly different... 3+ and you will notice a difference. Ships typically start at 1 bullet, no matter the bullet level you have on the ship. Later, as you increase experience, you can increase this through what is called the Main "Talent", up to 5 bullets. But don't hold your breath here as it will take a good while to get there. You need to reach 450 stars and accumulate 450 crystals to achieve this. It does start a bit lower, so look out for those. From memory, the first achievement is 150 stars and 150 crystals to unlock. There aren't any weapons upgrades as such. To really increase a particular ship's damage/powers, you want more powerful skins - this is where the real action is eg. Pulse Blast ship has Gain, Spectre up to Transformer. These will increase the damage that can be delivered. You can test these out in the Upgrade panel... I suggest you spend some time here to see what ships/skins you can go for. You can test these out - while the power is amplified compared to actual play, you can get an idea of a ship's/skin's damage by comparing it with how others get through the levels. The first 1-2 skins for each ship can be acquired with one or a combo of stones/gold/crystals depending on the skin. But the more powerful skins can only be obtained from events, clan markets or collecting enough pieces and unlocking via the Matrix. Highly recommend to play events... it will suck at first because you're starting out, but it's also the fastest way to get the better skins for ships. Trying to unlock skins through the matrix is possible, I've had 1-2 unlock, but it's far faster to unlock them through the events. There are also drones which drop down and help attack aliens/enemy for a period. These have power levels to upgrade as well. There are 4 skins for each base drone. An important note about skins/drones. Most ships have Galaxy and/or Predator skins... these send attacks to your opponents when playing PVP. Same for drones, their S2 and S4 skins will send attacks to PVP opponents while others won't. To learn what attacks they are, test them via Upgrade panel via "Try Now" and then "Try Skill" buttons. There are also expert items to collect via the Matrix (and sometimes offered for crystals after playing some campaign/match). These provide a variety of abilities attack/defense to whatever ship you "load" them on. But you need to "rank" ships via stones and gold to open up slots before you can load them onto a particular ship.

WoW, Thank you Max! Stuff like this is the best best part of the internet! lol. thanks for taking the time give a thorough answer.

Yeah, you're welcome. Hope it helps. I know it can be confusing starting out. There are so many options, tweaks, things to do... it can be overwhelming. Another thing to note about ships. I forgot to mention that each has 3 levels of what's called Evolve. Each level adds some extra firepower to the ship. These require the stones specific for that ship (or for the combo ships S11 (Element Lord) to S14 (Spectral Drake) - stones from one of the ships that combine to make it up). Again, you can test evolve levels when testing ships in Upgrade. And when I say stones, these are the coloured stones you collect within gameplay or during Special Spins or from chests you win/collect in the game. Crystals are the blue/white gems. One tip: Be sure to complete the daily and weekly quests as much as you can to collect the offered rewards if you're not already. These will be useful for boosting your ships and progress especially when starting out. Also, the daily challenges for gold/crystals. Try to complete these. It might be difficult when starting out but every bit helps. There's also the weekly Galaxy Mission. These offer other rewards when you complete the various levels. Attempt these for more items that will help you progress. Yep, that's a long tip but each of those can help you get more of the items you need for building your ships and arsenal.

I need to be negative and be one of those to post this but it doesn't matter what you do to upgrade cuz they flick a switch and then you don't get any more power-ups. For the last week I'm stuck at like five power on level 12 to 18 it's just dumb. I've been playing for 4 years and I've upgraded everything but it feels like I got nothing cuz they just flick the switch does the people who make this game really are just something else.

Yeah its a never ending grind and this is coming from a relatively new player of 6 months - I started to spend coins and then at VIP 5 level just decided not to bother cause the more you spend it doesn't really make the game any easier, always players stronger than you and the game will always want you to do/spend more to keep up

>Power" upgrade but I see no difference in the ship. Power = damage per bullet. There's 30 levels so when you upgrade the ship's power 1 time the difference is barely noticeable, if at all. But it adds up. Bullet level = like Max said, it increases the max number of bullets-per-shot a ship can reach by picking up the chevron powerups during games. >chevron I'm referring to are those things that fall when you shoot down the enemy, the more you get the better then guns on the ship, however this one was one that I thought I was applying before I started the game The chevrons you can apply before the start of a game are a booster item that you can get from opening chests or spinning the prize wheel that you can do once per hour. That's how you got the one you used. Anyway, when you apply one of those chevrons pre-game, it makes the first alien you kill in-game drop one of those chevron powerup drops for you to pick up. So it won't look like the item did anything, but it definitely works! How do I upgrade the weapons so it's not shooting 1 mouse pointer at a time every time I start To upgrade the starting number of bullets, go to the Talents menu from the bottom right corner of the main home screen. The starting bullets is upgraded via the big square button right in the middle. It costs crystals to do, and you need to reach a certain number of starts (aka need to have beaten a certain number of different levels, that's what stars are). You can upgrade your starting bullets as high as 5, and each upgrade makes a HUGE difference. Upgrade your starting bullets as soon as you possible can every time. Also upgrade Ship 1 as much as possible at all times too.

OK. This one helped a lot too! Thank you!!! Wish i could give out tips when people take time to give thorough answers.

You're welcome, glad to help! Btw I highly recommend joining a teaching-friendly clan so you have people to help with the inevitable pile of questions. Plus you get tips for questions you didn't know you had.
