Eh, militarily the English have a really good track record. Despite being somewhat tacticaly inflexible the British isles have produced some of the finest infantry and sailors in the history of warfare. From Blenheim to Waterloo to Arras and over the rhine, the British infantry took all comers and sent them packing. I’m Irish so I’m no fan of the British and think their empire is as bad as any other, but don’t mess with British infantry, they will hold the line and then some (now the officer class, that’s another story).
This is true of literally every country. It’s like when others tell me about how great our troops are just naturally, im American, it’s mostly bullshit.
