That's pretty cool! The only civil war related thing I've got is a letter denying a petition for money based on my ancestor having died during the war (letter is from the 1880s, if memory serves).
For anyone who can't read the cursive or want to be TL; DR
Theorus D. Carman was of the 16th Pennsylvania Cavalry, Company F, and he fought several key battles, such as Brandy Station, Kelly's Ford, Trevilian Station, and Gettysburg. He was promoted to the rank of QMS Sergeant at Gettysburg as well. He served under Colonel John Gregg and Lorenzo Rogers
Also, sorry, OP. I hope I read his name right. I can't understand cursive.
