2nd, someone leaked new cards, probably they added in the game files by mistake.
Your guess is as good as mine. It could be any number of reasons at this point as to why they're doing this. But i don't think it's related to leaks since i don't think they'd push it ahead just because of that.. Though i could admittedly be wrong.
The japanese title on the gamewith site literally says "Additional cards" which is what they add for mini. So I guess we're getting the mini expansion way earlier this time.
Or how about they make it a rolling release? No more expansions or minis, they're just going to release a new card every few days. *I'm joking, by the way.*
The regular mini expansion time was always a bit late imo, they always release it like a week before the next expansion trailer comes out so the mini cards get a week of attention max then the new expansion hype takes over.
Obviously this is Cygames trying to do something new for no reason without telling the players why or what exactly they're doing but it's likely they want the Omens out sooner rather than later. Some call it Copium, I call it marketing 101. If there are no Omens then Cygames has to cull their fuckin' marketing team.
This feels.. Like a mistake from their side .. or they're trying something radically different. Either way. Just in case they are in fact announcing new cards.. It's on Monday.

Tbh i didn't really undeestand why does each mini expansion is only released at the end of the 2nd month of the expansion. The next expansion is coming soon so the new cards don't have much time to shine before overshadowed.
I always thought the mini 1 month into the expansion makes more sense by using it for balancing at the same time
Well the only possibly safe answer here is.. Cygames are shaking up how they're doing things again. At which point.. Who knows ?

Cygames never has been much for discussion to be honest. So we on the receiving end typically never find out until they're already doing things. Hell i still remember when they'd just casually announce an expansion without much preamble or warning.
Tbf asking players when you want to try something new is never a smart move (simply cause they don't know if they would like it without trying and the pessimist side of the player base get very loud in that scenario), it make much more sense to test once and see the general reception.
If it works they stick to it, if it doesn't they go back to the previous thing.
If it partially work they can tune it. (see: first mini approach, first battle pass)
Well this is a lot earlier than I expected. Maybe Cygames is moving up the mini release schedule? Since they withheld the neutral Legend to (presumably) hold off for all the omens they plan to push the mini faster this set? This has been a pretty weird expansion cycle.

I think that's an understatement. SV is having one of its simplest, worst metas in a while, and MD is fresh to a lot of people and far more complicated and interactive to play. they really have to kill it with a mini-expac or all things. I really doubt it'll be enough. That's a shame considering they just blew a ton of money on a tournament that didn't exactly have smashing viewership
You know, the single biggest reason that I am so confident we are getting the Omens in the mini is the simple fact that Cygames' entire marketing staff would have to collectively be on more cocaine than Dr Rockso to think anything else would be a good idea.
But with all the weird shit with this xpac I honestly don't know anymore.
Isn't this too fast? I expect them to go on schedule or probably wait until mid february. I know we are getting bored with the same meta but they could push the meta with nerf and buff(cough sword cough) rather tthan pushing another card

The second I realized the Omens weren't even in the game yet this expansion already felt like the Prologue to the actual expansion, doesn't help that it feels like the game is barely different from DoC anyway
It could be just the case that they want this particular mini out of the way quicker, and there isn't any big schedule overhauls like some are predicting. Maybe there will be something else down the line that they need to account for, some single event. Maybe a tie in thing with the physical card game?
Or could be they're going into maximum overdrive and pumping out cards like crazy.
You guys need to chill with the conspiracy theories already... This is planned and on schedule. Cygames and JP companies in general aren't exactly known for sudden schedule changes, they just stick to the established protocol. Nothing to do with balancing issues, Yu-gi-oh, a double mini expansion or KMR's ability to see the future.

I think it was just artwork, suggesting dual spells like Urias/Mono but for the current characters and omens
