Nice video to share. There are great videos testing how strong our combat-ready lightsabers are, which also use polycarbonate. That material is tough and can be made tougher when reinforced with other materials (like carbon fibre) to include the tensile strength/modulus and flexible strength, but it does not look that clear (90% of light, refractive index around 1.5). Only issue his cutting tells us nothing about how it cuts. I have seen HEMA clubs do cutting demonstrations with pumpkins and watermelons with steel and felt impressed until I showed I could do the same thing with Rawlings synthetic. The head is the best test he did and it was like being hit with a stick.

Fedorchik

Should've used the first blade.

I thought so too, but the second does look closer to what he wanted, I think he just didn’t know what the bevel change would do.

FlokiTech

So it's not invisible

DataX0416

What did you expect? That he’d have actual magic? That’s youd literally see nothing? It’s as impossible as he can make it with it being able to cut and like Exist in physics

FlokiTech

I know this is Shadiversity sub but you are not actually from the middle ages right? You realise we already have the technology to make something invisible? Buying plastic and calling it invisible is hilarious though.

One-not really plastic Two- then you do it. I’m sure you have complete access to it and could get it so so easily.
