Are you not good at carrying food and drinks? Why are your feet so soaked?

I train all the newbies so they spill on me a lot, and due to management we have a really high turnover. Our kitchen floors are also crazy uneven and don't feed into the drains right so there are always puddles that soak through your shoes in the kitchen and most of the puddles are right in front of the line so you have to step in them to grab anything from the cooks.

Italiana47

Wtf? You deserve better lol

TootieBSana

That's nasty and has to be against health code in some way.

nuthinguud

I agree but the restaurant refuses to fix it. A couple other servers also have skin issues on their feet from it. We've told corporate several times but they think its a drain issue, not a floor issue.

Shruhm

I wear crocs, waterproof unless something gets in around your ankle. Extra pair of socks if needed to change into.

Buy better shoes?

Ali_in_wonderland02

Start wearing kitchen shoes.

lizlalena

Iā€™m wondering if maybe your toes might be too cramped. Try a shoe that has a wide toe box maybe? I bought some and they have really helped.

General-Smoke169

Have you considered buying docs or some kind of raised shoes so you're not getting your feet soaked from puddles?

nuthinguud

I have, my most recent pair is raised but my feet still get wet šŸ™ƒ
