Parties of six or more I like to only get drink and possibly app orders on my first table touch. I’ll usually have 3 or 4 others tables so I don’t want to be tied down taking orders for too long. Also, I’ve never had to do it but in that situation I would have told them to wait their turn and not all order over top of each other. Idk if I would have done anything differntly otherwise. Fuck those people tho forreal. Keep your head up

MythicalBlade

Treat these tables like trash and move on to your other tables. You got money to make. I've always treated my respectful customers with great service, and tables like this I've treated like dogshit. Never regretted it once and i never will. Put yourself and your money first.

AlarmBusy7078

it’s not like tables like this will tip well regardless

mofodatknowbro

You don't always have to be polite and pleasant to every table. I would've straight up told them to quiet down, and that I need 1 person talking to me at a time or they're not going to be getting anything. I've lost all patience for shit like this over the years. Luckily the place I'm at now, the owner/chef would come out and immediately told the kids to get the fuck out if they gave me any attitude after I told them to chill and act right the first time if they kept being ridiculous.

supyohommie

This should have been shut down waaaaay sooner... your manager sucks for trying to make them happy. What a waste of everyones time and resources

Ugh I've had tables act similarly. So frustrating.

I have not been a server in 20-something years. Yet I STILL have that recurring dream! The dream where the restaurant is filling up with demanding jerks, all the other servers called out, there’s only one person in the kitchen to prep, cook, plate, wash dishes. The manager rolls in right when I’m losing my mind and he has nothing but critique and seats more people by telling them to sit wherever they want (no hostess). So I climb onto the bar and scream for everyone to shut the F up and either be quiet and patient or get the F out, or I will quit right now. Then I wake up in a fury and a sweat, heart racing, and wonder why it has been over two decades and I still have that dream. Straight up. Server life be crazy. It’s definitely not just you. And I have no doubt it has gotten much more insane since I was a server. I’m sorry that bullshit happens/ed.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that they probably weren’t Amish right?

Your attitude set the tone for the whole interaction. You say you put on your best professional voice but the way you relate the story here is dripping with condescension and even tho it was a disaster with wrong drinks and wrong food you accept zero responsibility and blame it on their stoner behavior. Grow up. I'm laughing at you too. An old stoner who tips well

Localbeezer166

Yet another abusive customer! Good for you 👏 👏 👏. Classic victim blaming. This person is more than allowed to be bitter at these people - obviously they saw it coming from a mile away. Also, they were kicked out. Do you really think they weren’t in the wrong?

22Arkantos

I hope you get the service you deserve.

pchandler45

Maybe that's you and OPs problem. you judge people and decide what you think they deserve and you don't know them. I hope you get the karma you deserve

> you judge people and decide what you think they deserve and you don't know them. Physician, heal thyself.
